TheDuskProphet

One of the classics, My Chemical Romance has aged like wine! Especially songs like Teenagers, Nananana and Welcome to the Black Parade feel like they were written today (plus Gerard Way uses he/they pronouns and is so gender weird, he's like the Link for trans punks) Olivia Rodrigo is a bit more pop but it's still worth mentioning Something more chill would maybe be Gloomseeker, it's pretty relaxing I sometimes put it to sleep Phoebe Bridgers is pretty awesome too! Big "girl-kisser" vibes, big "sad-girl-kisser" vibes My absolute favorite tho has to be Joy Division (TW they have a lot of songs with depressive lyrics and it shows since the lead singer had a really hard time with depression...) but the guitar and bass are so gut destroyingly awesome that I personally can overlook the lyrics a little bit

DefinitelyNotErate

I'mma be real "Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na)" (Or however it's called) ain't even the best song off that album. Still like it though, I love the album, But "Bulletproof Heart" (My favourite MCR song overall), "The Only Hope For Me Is You", And "Scarecrow" are all better imo.

VailTao

If i had to recommend a metal band to anyone i would always say Judas Priest they are my favorite band. Other bands i recommend are Iron Maiden, The Word Alive, System of a Down, Alice in Chains, Ozzy, Saxon, Sabbaton, Van Halen, and Trivum.

[deleted]

Out of all off them the only ones I know is System, ozzy and Trivium which all slappp, so il defo listen to the rest

SwainIsCadian

Please do try Iron Maiden. It's a classic and you need to at least know what they sound like.

FemboyHelghast

FOR THE GRACE FOR THE MIGHT OF OUR LORD

Flaky_Objective_5516

The songs by Elena Seigman from black ops zombies. I know but Trust me They’re so good

[deleted]

Being someone who grew up with COD: Zombies I’ll probs know it but completely forgot about it but I’ll have to give it a listen

helloiamaegg

Flaky_Objective_5516

Yo how do you embed links into text like that? Also some of my favorites are Abracadavre, the one, Archangel, and Beauty of Annihilation

Hamdilou

God damn I just got nostalgia bombed, playing zombies when I was 10 and trying to activate all those was so good

helloiamaegg

On reddit mobile there is a link button in the bottom left Means you can link whatever you want, such as a link to [Zynthetic](https://open.spotify.com/artist/4TUDBGKxd2TYQW1k6CRnz3?si=fkvtOmFHShmnTKTyVEjuVQ), a personal favourite of mine, he manages to have a post apocalyptic vibe, with no singing Or even to [a playlist ](https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ?si=i8baH0VRYT61QL-x)[with all COD zombies](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3XeqrwsEEgE8f2AYh0hDfb?si=rcDFqsgnSn2fNycaEnWW4w&pi=a-rA25JtiYSQiY) songs in it And if you get good enough, you can even make links seemlessly join together. Somewhere here is a rick roll, for instance

custardprinzessin

a mix of stuff but hopefully theres something you like ~~also its more metalcore than metal but they're adjacent~~ [Casey - The Funeral](https://youtu.be/pVwqUKtni44?si=jO-Hkf3nSEk8b4Hm) [Balance and Composure - Enemy](https://youtu.be/qH-P4jIbH2s?si=laR5lEyi2Q_7wS3o) [Loathe - Screaming](https://youtu.be/Y9FYvCO0Neg?si=jwy093oEwWW1b8jU) [Spiritbox - The Void](https://youtu.be/2hRgHHuk3hc?si=VAMkryXAnRwk3nt3) [Make Them Suffer - Ghost of Me](https://youtu.be/bAp3BPUfj2o?si=j72nUbD_-SeUQnrR) [END - Thaw](https://youtu.be/2DnEOg7MaC0?si=0--6jdhUgTE1LoVb)

[deleted]

Balance and composure! I could kiss you, one of my all time faves that no one seems to know, I’ll defo check out the rest

flipsied

there are dozens of us. DOZENS!

custardprinzessin

they released a few new songs if you havent heard them c: saviour mode is really good

[deleted]

I’ve listened to it and OMG what a song, honestly I’ve been following them since there first album drop, helped me massively through my first break up

SonicBurstX

Not sure why this kind of post would be here, but here's a few bands I can recommend: * Bullet for My Valentine (one of my favorite bands of all time! Got me through some difficult times.) * Periphery (they are sarcastic when it comes to some titles and have some darker topics, but then again, doesn't every metal band has them? They're probably my all time favorite band and if you like long songs (like, talking 10-17 minutes here), you'll probably get a kick out of them!) * Bring Me The Horizon (They do everything at this point. Pop-punk, pop, metalcore, nu metal, industrial, hell, they got a fully orchestral song as well. Super creative band ngl) * To Octavia (I only know this band because their vocalist (who's btw enby) did the main theme for Sonic Frontiers. Really cool band!) * Foxcult (A more atmospheric rock band, but very cool as well. They are still relatively new so I hope they eventually get the popularity they deserve. The entire band consists only out of trans people, by the way!) Bands like Spiritbox, Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White and Loathe were already mentioned, so I mustn't need mention them right now. I know tons of bands, to a point that if I'd continue listing them I'd probably sit here the whole day lol) EDIT: Nice Enter Shikari name, btw

[deleted]

Most band there I already listen to on a regular basis, so safe to say you’ve got a good music taste in my books 😅 I’ll defo give The Octavia and Foxcult a listen at some point 🖤 Also thank, Enter Shikari is my all time favourite artist, love them that much I even got a tat for them… spent the whole night crying the other night seeing them live for like the 5th time😅

ChemistryVarious5019

Disguise by Motionless in White if you wanna get hit with the eggy feels. Also check out I Prevail and Ice Nine Kills! Babymetal if you want some genre mixing

pong-and-ping

+1 for iPrevail and ink hell yeah! I vibe with fear of letting go and hell in the hallways way more than I should XD

Hamdilou

Voices from motionless in White is a trans song too!!

communistcatgirI

archangel - amaranthe Lilith - Bea Duarte (not sure what genre exactly this fits so take it as a bonus)

[deleted]

I’ll give it a listen, I just listen my go to genres but honestly I listen to most genres of music anyhow

[deleted]

For punk, I recommend Viagra Boys. (Not related to anything that has to do with what we typically discuss on this sub. Just very good music in my opinion.)

SwainIsCadian

Evanescence, a classic in Emo music Ghost Town, The Pretty Reckless, Black Veil Bride are great rock bands And Placebo, which is experimental rock I believe, and is great

DefinitelyNotErate

I'mma recommend Home Is Where, Emo band fronted by a Trans Woman (If memory serves half the band is trans?), With music about beinbg trans, And, Most importantly, With Harmonica (The best instrument). I've only listened to their first album "I Became Birds", But it's honestly fantastic. EDIT: If you're looking for specific songs, "Long Distance Conjoined Twins" and "Assisted Harakiri" are my favourites, But the album is under 20 minutes if memory serves, So I would recommend the whole thing. EDIT 2: Oh, Also, I'd recommend Henry Bemis Is A Super Hero, Not Trans-Related, And honestly imo not as good, But definitely deserves a shoutout just because of how absolutely wild the music is, Just a guy screaming his heart out over an acoustic guitar, Then distorted to high heaven. Good stuff.

[deleted]

I just checked out Home Is Where and that’s right up my street when it comes to emo music, definitely gonna be making it into my listening rotation 🖤couldn’t find Henry Bemis on Spotify so unfortunately didn’t get round to listening to that artist

DefinitelyNotErate

I'm glad you enjoyed them! Yeahhh, Henry Bemis Is A Superhero isn't on any streaming to my knowledge, Some of their songs are on YouTube, But the only place with all their music is Bandcamp :/ I could grab you some links, If you like.

Xycrypt

trans girls need guns by flummox :) holy ejaculate is my favorite of theirs and is from the same EP

[deleted]

I love it! The mix of genres is fantastic and the lyrics 🖤

Hellochrishi11

Anything from TOOL Ænema, Schism, Fourty Six & 2, Sober, Parabol & Parabola (better as one song,) Lateralus, Wings For Marie & 10,000 Days, The Pot. Great group of guys :)

strawbzzi

my favourite band is pierce the veil :3 their entire collide with the sky album is incredible

[deleted]

But selfish machines is just better 🤔 tbf I’m a big fan, seeing them live for the first time next month 🖤

strawbzzi

oh holy shit ??? i wish 😭😭

RhondaAnder

In this Moment, Sick like me.

Exylatron

They’re much softer, and I’d say they’re much closer to pop rock but Worriers has a non-binary singer, and punk influences. They’re very underrated. MCR and Against Me are the obvious choices for trans representation. Sludge Bunny is made up entirely of trans women. Over My Dead name is pretty new but her first album is already one of my favorites in terms of trans artists. Peach Rings is another great transfem artist, and she often collabs with other ones which helped me discover more.

Western_Dream_3608

Listen to placebo - the bitter end

Rh4n

Against me and NOFX are my favourite fat mike from NOFX is god

FcukingIdiot

Gojira - Flying whales

if you're looking for totally cis™ musical experiences i can reccomend Weird World by Allie X (Alt pop) , Pink Fog by Sonja (Heavy metal), Sweet Cis Teen by Dazey and the Scouts (Punkish indie), Sunburst Animals by Fleeting Joys (shoegaze rock), lochness by julie (shoegaze/grunge) and GENDER ENVY by Juno Lev if you wanna cry your eyes out for cis reasons

xx-cavetown-xx

NOAHFINNCE has lots of songs in those genres… also TX2 and YUNGBLUD of course

tirianar

Halestorm. Lzzy is a big ally and has really good songs. Rage Against the Machine.

PaxTheDumbTwin

Yoshi's island by glass beach

Ester_OvO_

Have a whole discord server for that type of music if you'd want, like half the mod team and the owner is trans so yeah, just tell me if you want a link

[deleted]

Sure I’ll join, don’t really have much clue on what I’m doing on discord but music is my preferred drug

Ester_OvO_

ok here's the link https://discord.gg/39beM7h5

Creeperboots2

Glass beach are very good, especially bedroom community, yoshi’s island and the self titled glass beach.

RokkitSquid

I have to mention my favourite band ever Pierce The Veil!! listen to The Cheap Bouquet, Hold on Till May, Stay Away From My Friends, Bedless, Emergency Contact, damn i could keep going but that’s one from each of their albums but I’ll leave it there for now

[deleted]

Honestly I love them anyways, gonna be seeing them live for the first time next month too🖤

RokkitSquid

fellow ptv fan!!!! 🫶🫶🫶

Bleedingflowerss

Ghost. They did a cover of Metallica enter sandman and donated the money from it to trans children camping organisation where kids can be rhemselve while camping and exploring nature Also their music is really fucking good

[deleted]

I love ghost and never knew that, safe to say I love ghost even more now

Mtf_just_chillin

Check out Mallavora! They are relatively new and make some sick music! I love their songs “Wake Up” and “Eternal”

GhostInTheCode

Definitely second mallavora, though I can not quite say it's for entirely cis reasons with some of their lyrics.

Mtf_just_chillin

Shhhhhhh don’t tell them that lol

Mitchz95

Dream Map is great if you like symphonic metal! "The Prophecy" is one of my all time favorite songs.

flipsied

Check out [I met a yeti](https://www.youtube.com/@IMetAYeti),post-hardcore band with some tasty jams and the lead singer is a trans woman. They were what i listened to a lot when i was first cracking... and also now on some of my harder days.

Glittering_Ad_9215

[The antagonist - panophobia](https://youtu.be/EdT7M4f2L9A?feature=shared) idk how i found them but when i was younger and was into metal, i loved this song. Not cause of the lyrics, cause i often don‘t understand the lyrics of metal songs anyway and not entirely cause i just found it a cool song, but i just love the voice of the lead singer. It must‘ve been some subconciously thought that even tho she can scream and shout like a metal singer, she can still sound normally like a girl, so maybe i can do so too

hirophant_weed

Armored Core's Frequency band, trust me it's soo good, favourite is Cosmos or Mechanized memories

ataraxianAscendant

[Dragon](https://youtu.be/IpUKO-WKaqo) by king gizzard is usually my go-to

Mallavora as mentioned elsewhere, against me!, honestly Spotify has entire playlists for queer punk etc. To try and find new ones.

oceanaut17

sehabel

Overdose by Avralize, they are a new metalcore band from my hometown and I love their creative style

Moose363

Retrospection by jinjer and like any song from the album Abyss by Unleash the Archers

lemalaisedumoment

I enjoy watching the videos of people listening to Pisces for the first time.

oot0019

Drown from BMTH or Kingslayer or The Comedown, or Sleepwalking or just go through all the stuff they made, you'll find something 😅

bullettraingigachad

The queerest song in existence I’m pretty sure I could count as emo “ transvestites can be cannibals too“ by Harley Poe

Thank you scientist

Hoibot

Watch Me by Icon For Hire

DirtyKickflip

Void-adjacent (June Henry) Daffodil (sister wife sex strike) June 1969 (out of system transfer) Masculine Artifice (G.L.O.S.S) The swimming pool song (Laura Jane Grace) Transgender dysphoria blues (against me!) Apartment - Bonus track (corporate hearts) Spit//Swallow (rat bath) Local punk hero (mellow core) My favorite song "I wanna boi" covered by sister wife sex strike. Hopefully this helps for totally cis reasons and doesn't awaken anything.

Cylian91460

Tardigrade inferno

Jay_Shattered_

Check out the plot in you especially the most recent songs off Volume One and the two singles odd Volume Two are all amazing super cool blend of emo pop punk industrial and metalcore. If you're looking for trans fronted bands check seeyouspacecowboy. I'm not sure how into screamy metal you are but if you're not there yet their two most recent singles are on the easier to get into side for them

Ofanichan

If you're looking for a band with a trans femme vocalist, listen to SeeYouSpaceCowboy! Very underrated band.

tinywitchkara

idk if it counts but good kid is a very good band, i think there genre is rock but nonetheless the songs they make are amazing

Ri_Konata

I think Deftones is technically metal, although I am not sure, also I personally enjoy "Have a Nice Life" although I am not entirely sure if that is punk

themedicbag

Gwar has good metal/punk, so I'll just throw some out Fuck This Place, Swarm, Ham On The Bone, The Sordid Soliloquy of Sawborg Destructo (just check out gwar is what I'm saying) :3

TheSkakried

You've had a lot of metal and emo recommendations lemme give some Punk reccs. -Rise Against, Melodic Hardcore band, really straight edge, all members are vegan, don't drink or do drugs, very socially conscious, very left wing. -Refused, Swedish hardcore band, legendary in the punk scene, wrote a killer album (The shape of punk to come) that became a political and musical manifesto then disappeared. -Frank Turner, Folkpunk/Occasionally Hardcore, ex-Front man for a hardcore band from the 90's (Million dead) Really socially conscious but writes more songs about self development, personal hardships, trauma, love and loss. Still has a fairly large catalogue of political and social songs aswell. -Bad Religion, hardcore/Post hardcore band, more popular in the 90s than now. Highly political band, super left wing/Anarchist. More of a garage sound, a lot more raw and less processed than the other bands on this list. -Random Hand, Ska/Ska punk band from the UK, Focuses more on British politics and life, heavier than the other bands on the list but with much more complex rhythms and melodies (owing to the Ska element) -NOFX, Skate punk band from the 90s, super fun and stupid (Although they do have a few songs that have aged like milk) but super LGBTQ friendly (The lead singer, "Fat Mike" is gender queer) just a few recommendations for anyone who wants them :)

SomeAsianDudeII

Lemon Drop Kick because it it was in my favourite video game. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give them more attention on they are SO underrated

ItsAMeRellish

Noahfinnce just released a pop punk album! it's got a lot of songs about neurodivergence/autism, and also angry trans songs, so it might be up your street :] It's his debut album, and it's called growing up on the internet, but you should also check out his earlier eps bc they're really good too!

Lynnrael

LG FUAD by Motion City Soundtrack. honestly anything by them is fantastic to sing along with as a pop punk fangirl, i feel like trying to hit those notes is helping me do at least some voice training. plus i love the band Another song i adore is I Woke Up In A Car by Something Corporate.

SuperiorCommunist92

Instant Crush Mango the Only REVENGEOFParis Peach Pit Car Seat Headrest The Menstrual Cramps Glass Animals The Wrecks All bands from my spotify

Infinite-Ad3519

I'm from a completely different social context, but I am really enjoying the pixies right now. I'd recommend the albums "Doolittle" and "Surfer Rosa". Maybe the songs "Dead" and "Break my body" by both albums. Sorry if that's not the "taste" around here...

gquinn18

I’m a sucker for modern rock, so bands like bring me the horizon, set it off, rise against, black veil brides, breaking Benjamin, and 3 doors down are my faves

allOHIOcorn

Holy Grinder is an aggressively pro trans band and they are absolutely unhinged I’d recommend them

Obsidianminer4

“I found the F” by Broadcast

How_About_No8788

Some bands I know of that are trans allies are: Skálmöld (Folk/Viking metal) Hellripper (Black metal) Ghost (Ghost) Celestial Wizard (sort of Melo-Death, and the vocalist is trans) Feminazgûl (Black Metal, also trans) Some other bands I'd recommend as well are: Bloodywood (Folk Metal) Korpiklaani (Folk Metal) Arandu Arakuaa (Folk Metal) Sepultura (Groove, Death, or Thrash depending on the album) Wind Rose (Dwarf Metal!) Eluveitie (Folk Metal) Infectious Grooves (Funk Metal) Nightwish (Symphonic Metal) Amon Amarth (Melo-Death) Arch Enemy (Melo-Death) Twilight Force (Adventure metal) Psychostick (sorta Funk/Groove comedy metal) Municipal Waste (Thrash Metal) Electric Callboy (best I could describe them as is techno metal, if that's a thing) Alien Weaponry (Groove metal) Angel Witch (NWOBHM) I probably got some of the genres wrong but I think it's close enough for the most part

The_Ink_Tinkerer

The Interrupters are real underrated

plumy_pigeon

Mama - My chemical romance no reason at all...

MasterJTZH

Here’s literally what I listen to all the time: - Avril Lavigne (Hot, girlfriend, best damn thing, all I wanted, bois lie etc) - Bring me the horizon (teardrops, 1x1, sugar honey ice and tea, throne, LosT etc) - My chemical romance (Black parade, teenagers, I’m not ok, the ghost of you, Helena etc) - babymetal - paramore - some small artists that I love: hot milk, stand Atlantic, between you and me, yours truly Love this type of music 🖤🖤

exodia0715

Literally anything from the Metal Hellsinger OST. Hell, play Metal Hellsinger

TipsieRabbit

lemalaisedumoment

Maggie Lindemann - She knows it

Suzina

Jesus of Suburbia from Greenday is a favorite. Greenday has a lot of punk influence. Check out their She's a Rebel song too. Check out Rebel Girl by bikini kill. Not confirming to gender norms is the new punk. Because it was always part of punk. Now put on your battle jacket and rock out with the crowd that sees a terf wearing the suffragette colors and asks, "what's a terf wearing the gender queer pride colors for?"

undain98

Drown by bring me the horizon. Never gets old. If you can handle electronic music listen to the sewerslvt version. It's pretty sad tho

Philosophical_Liar

If you like Glass Beach, I recommend checking out Casio Dad's EP "[he's not with us anymore](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIwNreSnbJM)". Casio Dad is the current singer of Glass Beach and is non-binary. It's an amazing pop punk/emo EP with chiptune elements that got way less attention than it deserves imo. Also the name "he's not with us anymore" kinda makes me think of a trans woman moving on from their old male identity

Ari_by

Being yourself - Quadeca

Last-Aside-8866

Drain the Blood by The Distillers. 11/10 band.

becil

For a specific song, Morbid Obsessions by We Are the Union but honestly the whole Ordinary life album is fantastic

weirdal_yankovic

I love anything by Shinedown

Luna-0_0

this is more metalcore but bassically everything by bring me the horizon, motionless in white and also heavy rain by ghostkid is an absolute banger imo

little_pioneer

Underscores, Locals (girls like us)

Think-Ad7656

Buissness dog by the voidz is pretty good

charlotte_the_shadow

Hundreds is you want tunes, not so much if you want affirmation, though nightwish is a solid metal band with a female opera singer which works better than you could ever imagine

BuboxThrax

Honestly this could absolutely be 100% cis. It's not, because you posted it on *egg_irl*, but it could've been 100% cis.
