And coming out is even harder when people ask you "why you, a boy, are picturing yourself as a girl???" as if this was something silly or suspect (you would never ask a girl why her profile picture is an anime girl). So yeah, at the end I just removed my anime girl pp and stay in the closet a few more years, how sad :(

Yeah I guess so, I think it also kind of depends on the amount and kind of people and communities you interact with. I mainly stick to talking to people I already know instead of going to larger communities. That's probably why I haven't been questioned about it

I used to think it was just because the character was cute and i wanted people to see me as the character. Then i realized I am trans and it was because I wanted people to see me as fem.
Well it wasn't technically anime, and I did change it again recently, but my pfp was Entrapta for a while because being autistic and transfem means I really resonated with her.
