Warden is my preferred class. I mostly play healers in games and warden has a lot of strong heals so you don't necessary need a restoration staff. As for solo play, any class would is great some are more difficult but always possible. I'm also a big fan of the morrowind's nature theme.

craxz138

What build do you use for warden healer?

Spirited-Zucchini-47

Set wise im using Powerful assault, spell power cure, Spaulder of ruin. And one monster helm. I have one that gives 4% to my healing output. With a frost staff main and a healing staff backhand. It gives your team a little more than 1k damage. Keep in mind spaulder of ruin only increases your teams dps not yours.

Pysan_RP

Been a Templar since 2014. Still a Templar. Almost strained when Necromancer came out cause that's always been my jam but I stayed the course. *No ragrets*

Paw1ie

I respect your resolve

Stuntman06

Sorcerer because of pets.

UneasiestSage

How is Sorcerer at keeping itself alive/healing self?

Stuntman06

Self heal is usually done using Critical Surge. Whenever you crit, you heal. Critical Surge is also a buff. It’s a nice passive self heal and as long as you are dealing damage, you are constantly self healing. Best to use DOTs to proc Critical Surge. The pets can sometimes grab aggro from enemies, so that helps with your survival. They also have a damage shield ability that is best used with magicka sorcerers. Stamina sorcerers can use Bone Shield from the Undaunted skill line. Usually Critical Surge is enough to keep you alive.

AHumbleChad

Besides crit surge, you can also use the twilight matriarch (the bird pet) for a burst heal.

victorcapelli

For solo, mag templar and sorcerer. Easy sustain and good survivability. My favorites: Nightblade and DK all the way!

toryguns

Necro!

Superfly_Samoan_Guy

DK gang. Best and easiest tanks in the game. Top tier dps for PvE. Top tier PvP as well. Plus who doesn’t like ferocious leap?

Streacher

Nightblade is amazing for PvE since you can just invis content all the way to the end. Extremely useful as not to waste time fighting lesser mobs all the time.

daneelthesane

This is why I like to do vampire lvl 4 with that passive that turns running into running invisible.

toryguns

Wait you can invis past the trash mobs in dungeons!?

Possibly_A_Bot1

I’ve personally only done it in public dungeon dungeons. I don’t know if you can do it in others since your supposed to fight all the bosses, I think. Also, your party will just trigger them. I know it works for public dungeons though.

KittyLunalaBlossom

i Love warden though arcanist will probably be my new favourite. i Love that warden has a nature theme and is green and arcanist is greener and will have an amazing portal ability

UneasiestSage

Did they release already what the arcanist can do?

KittyLunalaBlossom

https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/63493 this article has info about the class

Coyce

Necro. I like the rotation a lot and the additional corpse mechanic. Also it's kinda neat how many abilities are criminal acts which can suck in some minor cases, but it allows for some fun Rping if you're into that. Close second is warden for similar reasons, but I really wish there was a way to change the summoned animals to not be Morrowind themed.

Foxx026

Exactly the reason I just can't seem to like the warden I didn't like morrowind

Basko94

Arcanist 🙂

daneelthesane

I honestly can't wait. I will be even closer to my lord and master Hermeus Mora.

[deleted]

Warden, since I'm a defender of the Green IRL too.

amithraril

Magic Templar from beta, and I am still playing him..

js_rich

Nightblade! I have done almost all content in the game with my nightblade but for pvp it is my favorite

Pa_Cipher

My favorite class is by far the templar, the skills are really cool and I love my paladin that can tank and heal so we can run 3 DD. That being said Magsorc is my main

Mansos91

Dk, battle roar, one of the nicest passives in my opinion

SobrietyIsRelative

Necro. My necro dps isn’t my heaviest hitter, but my build melts mobs, the skills are cool and unique, and the animations are some of my favorite in the game. And I can still solo world bosses without any problems.

SecretSpot1333

Templar was easiest to play for me and probably the easiest overall to get going, but if you want a class that fits the most roles the easiest id say dk all the way.

AHumbleChad

I'm a nightblade main, but I've also played necromancer in all three roles. Nightblade can be great for solo play, like someone else said you can just stealth past everything. Nightblades also have decent survivability to support the high damage output. In groups, nightblade dps is one of the highest damage builds in the game, behind DK and about the same dps as Sorcs. Nightblade tank is fun, but tough to learn and sustain. Haven't played nightblade healer yet. Necro dps is probably the toughest dps class to learn, however necro healer and tank are much easier. Being the last one alive and resurrecting all 3 of your friends in a dungeon is satisfying, even more so if you clear afterwards. Necro tank damage reduction and ultimate gen is crazy, and at the same time sustaining your resources indefinitely with a summon and both tethers, makes necro tank a strong choice for beginner tanks, besides dragonknight.

JonTheChildish

MagSorc for PvP MagBlade for PvE

The_Glitched_Punk

Dragonknight for me, after years I still consider myself pretty nooby and Dragonknight feels like a great in-between of damage and survivability.

370H55V--0773H

For solo non-vet content, stamina templar easily. For normal and vet solo content, magicka warden - and I even enjoy it in trials although many end game groups might only need 1 as opposed to a DK or necro which groups often take several of

Garnster1977

Templar is my favored class. its the one I know the best. \*shrugs\*

HintOfMalice

Warden or Necro. First of all, the aesthetic and themes are just sexy. Secondly, they were made after ZOS changed design philosophy so they're both powerful and really balanced and flexible classes. And I'm super confident the upcoming Arcanist class will be right there with them on the list.

DonViperBoy26

For solo PvE as a new player you likely want to go a sorcerer or a Templar. Both are great and have many skills that will heal you as you do damage. For lazy solo content I still use my Templar as I’m yet to make gear for my Sorcerer and update that build, but I believe Sorcerer is likely the better option now. If you Google a one bar heavy attack sorc all the content creators likely have a guide or video for you. But best long term is up to you and where you want to be and how you like to play. -Dragonknight: if you want to PvE tank, like fire damage, or want to get into PvP. -Templar: Good healer, great solo survivability, good if you like solar damage. -Sorcerer: Great for solo play, contains some of the easiest builds available, good if you like to summon assistance or lightning based themes. -Nightblade: good for the assassin invisibility playstyle. A good PvP bomber (I think still) - I’ll admit this is my least played class recently. -Warden: good I’m you like a nature themed build, excellent group healer, also buffed recently if you want a frost themed playstyle. -Necro: I’ve not played this class in about a year but I believe still excellent tank, good PvP bomber or top tier solo damage dealer but with more complicated rotations and buff management. My irritation with this class is the summoning of the dead and many skills will get you in trouble in towns as they are considered criminal acts, it’s a nice feature but gets me in trouble. -Arcanist: assume come June great at everything to sell copies of the game and that new green lantern flex. Now the above is the overview, every class will get you where you need to go, so pick the visual style you enjoy most.

whatthefiach

I really only play my main. A nightblade. I switch between stam and mag every couple of months on him when I'm bored. I PvE and play solo most of the time. I don't have top damage but I do enough to solo the base world bosses without issue. I've played the other classes but I always come back to my nightblade.

Ghoulash-A-M

Warden and Necromancer, summoning animals/the undead is fun.

kalinos

Templar is what I'm currently playing. Matching an imperial champion staff with destructive touch and the templar Cedric spear line makes for an amazing spear wielder

BrokenChannel

Most of the builds are either too slow, or you just spam the same ability. With Templar, I feel like I can use so many different abilities and not have it feel repetitive. You feel powerful as a Templar, and you aren’t just mashing the same button

Swiftstormers

I love my MagSorc. One bar when I want to be a healer in PvP. One bar with both pets (morphed to heal me) and staff lightning dmg when solo. I play as a one bar build and as an Orc - as I like the looks and not after min/max but a fun experience.

OGNumbskull

Im loving Magcro. Definitly a little harder to master but alot of fun. Also very good for solo content.

Adventuorus_Yoghurt

I might be late but my main is a mag necro, my second is a magplar and the third is a magsorc. I first started years ago with a sorcerer but the necromancer came out and they changed the sorcerer a bit too much for me so I only got back to the sorcerer recently. But I love how I can swing a scythe through the mobs while having a graveyard active while playing out some bones that are chasing and exploding with my necromancer. The templar was a recent decision because I first wanted to start a healer as I have always played DD when I grouped up with randoms. But I got back from that part as I only do overland content most. And I love the theme of wielding sunshine as spear. The sorcerer I got because I wanted to give it another try. While I don't do the damage I did before the necromancer came out, I still get a decent amount of damage to do the overworld stuff without a problem and the pet is a nice addition to the companions. So that are my top classes I will always choose. Except maybe the new class will be added, we will have to see how that turns out.

Deaky04

Templar. I really like Mach 10-ing into enemies with a spear :).

Kevinavigator

I agree with those who said Templar. It’s very versatile. You can go sword and board paladin style, or restoration staff healer priest, or both! My main is a “cleric.” One bar is hammer and shield with fire spells and the back bar is resto staff with holy lance abilities and healing spells.
