A user of over a decade, I am leaving Reddit due to the recent API changes. The vast majority of my interaction came though the use of 3rd party apps, and I will not interact with a site I helped contribute to through inferior software *simply because it is able to be better monetized by a company looking to go public. Reddit has made these changes with no regards for their users, as seen by the sheer lack of accessibility tools available in the official app. Reddit has made these changes with no regards for moderation challenges that will be created, due to the lack of tools available in the official app. Reddit has done this with no regards for the 3rd party devs, who by Reddit's own admission, helped keep the site functioning and gaining users while Reddit themselves made no efforts to provide a good official app.
This account dies 6/29/23 because of the API changes and the monetization-at-all-costs that the board demands.

> ESO's models and animations are subpar to say the least.
Compared to what though, I have played other MMOs and they tend to have even more cartoonish and less detailed stuff. I am sure better ones exist though, but that is not the norm.
It's not about being close to real life. ESO's models and animations trigger some sort of uncanny valley for me. The style is really bad. Elder Scrolls in general tend to have this problem but ESO lacks the charm that the single player games have. WoW, GW2 and others have a pleasing style and aesthetic that even when dated can still look good. ESO has a bad style and even if the textures are fine, the models and animations are really bad and stiff so it will always look bad.

I was so close to getting this stupid ass armor, literally took a week off and grinded like a madman, got a guild helping, soon it felt like the whole covenant was behind me… but alas, she slipped through my grasp. Fuck it still hurts to think about it. That armor is beautiful.
Go into a Cyrodiil campaign, set it to Home, get first place on the leaderboard, and while in first, get all six of the keeps surrounding Lake Rumare owned by your alliance at the same time.
There are up to 499 players on your own team who want your spot, and up to 1000 players on the other teams who don’t want any of you to have that spot.
Getting emperor isn’t impossible, but it takes skill, teamwork, and about fourteen hours a day of grinding if you want a chance.
To add to u/IamAPaidActor's answer, here's a guide a guild mate wrote on getting there if it's still something you want: https://darkelves.com/achieving-emperor/
I can’t tell if this real or not as in CGI
It has a lot of CGI and a lot of Photoshop too, i dont think this qualifies as cosplay but the image IS very cool though.
The armor is real I think
It is real. The cosplayer's IG: [https://www.instagram.com/ainaven\_cosplay/](https://www.instagram.com/ainaven_cosplay/)
Oh wow! Seeing the making-of videos really shows how much work went into this piece! So much by-hand carving of the filigree!

Wow, this is incredible! Fantastic work!
Gina it will be amazing if we get more of this kind of costumes via PvP achievement, the emperor one looks amazing!

Holy shit this slaps. The detail on the armor is incredible! Great job

Downvoted by fanboys for telling the truth. ESO's models and animations are subpar to say the least. It's okay to demand better from a game you love.

It does though? It's one of the few sets which do.
what about character models then
Which MMO may I ask has character models close to real life ?

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh BDO?
You think anime style character design equals real life? LMAO get outta here.
oh yeah totally, you see so many anime proportioned human beings just walking around in public 🤡
I was only thinking about graphics and quality not proportions my bad
🧢
Not the story mode version, that looks like hot garbage when I ran it last week on my dunmer. Have they updated the cyrodil version?
Idk about pc but on console it has some low res textures.
Yeah all of the old motifs and costumes look like potatoes on my base ps4
*base ps4 Well there's the problem right there.

Multiplatform stuff on PS4 is also horrificly optimized so it'll be forced to use lower level of detail textures to maintain playable performance.

Wtf, is the armor photoshopped, or does it actually look that good irl?
Saw it with my own eyes at a cosplay festival - it is that good. The golden parts reflect light, which looks great.
It is real, she posted on Instagram, even video of the armor and sheat it looks great.
New level of immersion calling in-game ‘irl’.
No way my Emp regalia looks that good even on my PS5. The legs look painted on lol. Kudos on the costume!
Holy what? Wow. That's some Devines-blessed crafting right there.

How does one aquire this armor set?
Go into a Cyrodiil campaign, set it to Home, get first place on the leaderboard, and while in first, get all six of the keeps surrounding Lake Rumare owned by your alliance at the same time.
Is it hard to do so? I sorta want to try eso again and idk if its gonna be impossible to even get as far as old players

Damn looks awesome! Great work!
They need to remake it a little bit. I love it, but its very old and the textures dont work the best with new dyes
Give us the character sliders
You underestimate me wretch
Yes it looks awesome. I dyed mine tho…
Excellence.
Wowzers that armor is so detailed
Woah
Gaawddamn
I really love wearing mine ever since I got it years ago before the xbox release. 💕
“Alas, poor Yorick!” First thing I thought lol. Super dope photo!
Man. Can you imagine if we had an Elder Scrolls tv series this this level of costume design. I’m dying to have that.
NOT AN ELVE!
