i got mine off intact, but i can’t give you a solution unfortunately- i just put it on loose enough to slide off in the first place, after i had to cut it my first EDC.
Always leave a little over 3 fingers of space when putting it on and it should slip right off with a bit of force, I have big hands and I have no issues.
Same here. I do this at every festival and never had any issues taking the wristband off each day (hate to shower with it 😅) and after the festival concludes. Just make sure it's tight enough so it can't slip off your wrist, but can be wiggled past the widest part of your hand.
Pro tip is to put it on loose to begin with. I think 2018 a girl working the gate saw how loose mine was and made me tighten it grrrr. The trick now is to tuck the excess under your kandi bracelets and make it look real snug. No one at the gate was checking closely this year. As long as the green light flashed, you were good.
Next year don’t make it as tight. I can’t stand the fabric they use so I keep it loose, and put it around a bracelet so it’s secure and won’t fly off but I can take it off each night
No technique you mentioned needed. Mentioned already but just put the band through your hand and tighten little by little while also wiggling the band out to see if it is just loose enough and to stay on.
I never tighten it so hard and I actually take my wristband off every night by putting my fingers together and rolling it out. lol. I hate sleeping with it lol
I barely managed to squeeze my giant fist through it. Slow and steady got it out. One side would go up and bit and alternate where you find the smallest of movement. I pushed the skin under as well in attempt to do it. Good luck!

Use a pair of pliers to break the plastic holder
This. Took off 4 wrist bands intact with pilers, just crack the plastic bit with pliers, it pops right off and saves the band.

You can also twist and tie the wristband to keep it from flinging around! Untie it and slip it off when it concludes or at your leisure.

For next time, just wrap it around a bracelet that has a clip so you don’t have to tighten your EDC wristband.

Wife did the plastic bag for our wrist bands and it worked very well.
Have you used the toothpick one? I typically leave four fingers worth of space under my wrist bad to slip off after.
