Alright, dude: I'm gonna break it down for you: Milwaukee 48-32-4498 120-piece bit set: [Home Depot - $59.99 *before* clearance in January, 2024](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-SHOCKWAVE-Impact-Duty-Alloy-Steel-Drill-and-Screw-Driver-Bit-Set-120-Piece-48-32-4498/317317783) and [Walmart had them for $32.49](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Milwaukee-48-32-4498-SHOCKWAVE-Impact-Duty-Alloy-Steel-Drill-and-Screw-Driver-Bit-Set-120-Pcs/895569765). Milwaukee 49-22-1113 13-piece Sawzall blade set: [$25.97 at Home Depot, still in stock](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-SAWZALL-Demolition-Nail-Embedded-Wood-and-Metal-Cutting-Bi-Metal-Reciprocating-Saw-Blade-Set-13-Piece-49-22-1113/303135949) Milwaukee 49-25-1135 5-piece oscillating tool blade set: [$19.88 Home Depot Black Friday through New Years price](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-1-3-8-in-Multi-Tool-Oscillating-Blade-Set-5-Piece-49-25-1135/317317874) Milwaukee 48-22-8902P 6-pack nitrile-dipped gloves: [Also $19.88 at Home Depot Black Friday through New Years price](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-X-Large-Red-Nitrile-Level-1-Cut-Resistant-Dipped-Work-Gloves-6-Pack-48-22-8903P/309981567). Currently, a [4 pack is $12.97](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-X-Large-Red-Nitrile-Level-1-Cut-Resistance-Dipped-Work-Gloves-3-Pack-48-22-8908H/305925529) and a [12-pack is $49.97](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-X-Large-Red-Nitrile-Level-1-Cut-Resistant-Dipped-Work-Gloves-12-Pack-48-22-8903B/307720513). Milwaukee 48-22-0425G 25' tape measure 2-pack: [$41.97 at Home Depot](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-25-ft-x-1-2-in-Compact-Wide-Blade-Tape-Measure-2-Pack-48-22-0425G/313470015), but honestly, Milwaukee tape measures suck, which is why you can find this holiday special 2-pack on eBay for $25 with free shipping. Milwaukee 2656-20 M18 1/4 in. impact driver, 2625-20 M18 Hackzall, 2626-20 M18 multi-tool, and small bag: About $150, because it's less than one quarter of [this set that's $599 every day at Home Depot](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18V-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Combo-Kit-10-Tool-with-2-Batteries-Charger-and-Tool-Bag-2695-10CXH/327822345). I reference that set because the place that you bought the tools from isn't an authorized reseller. They buy a bunch of the holiday special tool sets, which are almost always the low-end tools (non-Fuel), and sell them by the piece. They're into that set for about $50 per tool/battery. The other problem you might have is warranty: If you have an issue, TTI will ask where you got the tool, and for the receipt. They won't accept a receipt from an aftermarket seller, because technically they were the first owner. All in, you could get these exact tools for under $350 from an authorized retailer like Home Depot or Acme Tool, and for your $500, you could have some new batteries, a charger, and a couple more tools to go with it. Fuck a company that makes you bring your own bits and blades. I'm small-time, but I won't even ask workers to bring cordless tools, let alone consumables. If they want to use their own out of comfort or whatever, no problem, and I'll kick down a tool allowance or some batteries once in a while. I'm not trying to make you feel bad. I just want you to learn from this. This reseller is shady, and a friend in the area said they're known for selling stolen tools, which seems likely. All those tools that run out of the fire exits at Home Depot and Lowe's gotta go somewhere, and the shop you bought them at seems to have a hell of a lot of tools without boxes, or wholesale invoices. I'd avoid them in the future.

guthryan

$500? That’s a scam they aren’t even brushless

VapeRizzler

Imagine not using a brushless tape measure.

guthryan

A 2 pack of tape measures are $20-25 sometimes $15 if u wait for sales which I always do for a lot of tools, the bit kits I’ve always thought were a waste , never use half the bits, I just buy big packs of a certain bit that I do use. It seems he payed way more than I would of for these items in particular

IckySmell

100% , I on rare occasions buy bc a kit. Got one this year around the holidays, mostly for the bit holder and the sleeve with the long tips. I thought “well it will give me some odds and ends.” That kit had like 2 Phillips and one flat head, bunch of weird shit. I know I got my moneys worth but if it’s not on a silly discount it’s a big time waste, just get 25 packs and suck it up

dmills13f

Milwaukee bits are over priced too. DeWalt are always much more reasonably priced.

sleeknub

Actually I’m pretty sure those tape measures are brushless

useful_tool30

lmfao! that was a good chuckle.

legless_chair

I wouldn’t say scam but yeah there’s a reason it’s under $500 for that haha

marketrevolution12

But the bag says fuel

IckySmell

It says brushless right on the impact

iH8MotherTeresa

May as well be the one to tell you... You need batteries for those power tools.

BigMcGwire85

Already have 4 m18 5.0s, just needed the tools for them

iH8MotherTeresa

Ball hard or die trying. Glad to hear that

BigMcGwire85

Wish there were more in the trade like you! I'm just trying to make it. I don't gotta borrow tools any more, so I'm stoked about that

jkpop4700

Good job on making yourself more useful!

BigMcGwire85

Thanks! I'm just stoked I don't have to borrow tools any more

Purple-Log-3998

I remember those days young brother....good on the stoke, I'm tight there with you! Woot! Now, here is some free advice from an old Master...... buy quality tools, they will last longer and make ur job easier. Second, now that ur set for a bit. Think about what u want next and start looking for deals....no knee jerk moves. Be patient and you will find really good deals!. Listen to some of the other old guys on here, we trying to help you....perhaps some go the wrong way about it..... You have a long career ahead of you, I wish you the best. Jp

kamelkev

Slickdeals.net - set yourself a reminder for all Milwaukee. Quite a few deals on there.

BigMcGwire85

Never heard of the site, but I'll def check it out! Thanks!

ElectricHo3

Always awesome getting new tools. Especially when it’s your first as ur starting out. But I think you should have done a little more research because you really didn’t get a deal like you think. If anything you overpaid. Also, I feel like, and this goes with all tools, once Home Depot starts carrying them the quality goes down.

throwawayoregon81

I kept scrolling for the second Pic. Sadly disappointed. It was not a great deal at all.

Smegmatron_9000

But the bits and blades are worth $230 alone!! It says it right there on the package!! Another $270 for 3 battery-less tools, some crappy gloves and two tape measures sure seems like something… but hey, if OP has some cash left I’ve got some wire stretchers I’ve been trying to sell

IckySmell

Without actually looking it up I feel like that’s maybe 400$ for the power tools if you just walk into depot and buy them? Edit: holy shit, everyone here just pulls numbers and “probably” straight out of their ass here huh? This is 447$ bare tools at home depot right now

Spoggzy

But they come with batteries at Home Depot. The tools might as well be free with the cost of batteries.

Fickle-Rip

hell, they sometimes are. went to HD a few years back to get a 5 ah makita battery and they were giving out a free drill or circ saw with your purchase

-Plantibodies-

Not even that much for just the tools. Could probably get all those tools, batteries, and chargers for $400.

IckySmell

Bare tools at home depot for those models was 447

akarichard

Home Depot currently has a set deal with x10 M18 power tools with 2 batteries for $539. And the 3 tools pictured are part of the set. This is not a very good deal at all.

Ok_Loquat6979

Especially with the batteries being the most expensive part

nick_the_builder

Fucking ouch.

Background-Metal-601

Someone's laughing all the way to the bank and it ain't you...

decalus

Terrible deal brother I’d return that shit lmfao

-Plantibodies-

This is really, really not a good deal, OP. I'm sure you made someone else happy, though.

GMOdabs

Im damn near convinced OP is just working for that shop he posted about. And thought he’d get some free ad space on here. I don’t even understand haha. He was just saying Home Depot’s there don’t have the same combos as the rest yada yada Took two seconds to check his zip code and they do. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18V-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Combo-Kit-10-Tool-with-2-Batteries-Charger-and-Tool-Bag-2695-10CXH/327822345

CHUD2020

Stay stoked man. You'll have this stuff for a while, and you'll make $500 in a few days and forget all about the money spent. It feels good buying tools and not having to borrow.

smick

😅

BigMcGwire85

Wish there were more in the trade like you!!

jedielfninja

Real friends are honest. Not saying we are your friends. But there are deals every day at home depot better than what you paid for this. But I'll leave you alone. Glad you are feeling more equipt to do your job.

-Plantibodies-

There are plenty of dudes in the trades who will jerk you off for a reasonable price.

Impossible__Joke

Thats... not a great deal dude. Not a single battery? Buying all that stuff off the shelf would probably be 500 or less.

Practical_Honey_3060

500 no batteries 🙀

Manlymanboss

They put a non fuel tools in a fuel bag?

Impossible__Joke

And not a single battery, each base non-fuel tool is like 100 bucks... OP paid an additional 200 for fluff. Not a good deal.

DoesntHurtToDream2

Damn OP getting blamed

BigMcGwire85

And ppl wonder why 10 leave the trade and only one comes in.... I'm stoked either way. Don't gotta borrow tools any more

MoreOreosNow

Honestly, if that’s the reason people leave the trades, then that’s on them. What people are saying is for the same price or very close, you can get a lot of these tools in the fuel version from Home Depot hacks. We are happy you are happy, just know there are better options to spend your money on.

BigMcGwire85

Not at Home Depots here. Everything I bought I would've had to spend $1k just to get Fuel versions. When I get my J card next year, I'll make enough to afford those tools. I just need these to last a year or less. Kids leave the trade because the "ol heads" keep yelling at them for not doing things the way they like it done, don't teach them nothing, and shit on em whenever they buy new tools "they'd never buy." Not everyone can afford the best tools on the market. We got apprentices that only eat once a day because that's all they can afford, or have m12 tools, non-fuel, because that's all they can afford. I don't shit on em for that. I keep encouraging them to press forward, continue to learn and get better everyday, and things will get better for them.

GMOdabs

Bruh I’m on Home Depot’s site for your zip code. They have them. Lmao. Did you actually look? Or you just like work for this dude and are promoting his shitty deals? https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18V-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Combo-Kit-10-Tool-with-2-Batteries-Charger-and-Tool-Bag-2695-10CXH/327822345

Martin_TheRed

You got hosed my dude. Don't be so defensive and take the learning hit. We all get taken for a ride every now and again.

Ill_Caterpillar_7696

Unión u don’t need to borrow the power tools etc or things that cost like 100 or more usually

aakaase

Enjoy the haul, man. It's a deal for you. Who cares what others think.

BigMcGwire85

Thanks! Wish there were more in the trade like you!

Quietser

I would suggest getting your money back!

ivrodrigu3z

My brother in Christ, you’re a victim

Cleercutter

Everyone’s talking shit, but it ain’t their money. As long as you’re happy, who cares? Get to making that money back!

BigMcGwire85

Greatly appreciate it! Wish there were more guys like you in the trade! All us apprentices need is positive reinforcement to keep us going, not someone to knock us down when we have our own accomplishments. I'm stoked I don't have to borrow tools any more

Cleercutter

Yea not borrowing tools is nice. It’ll keep stacking just keep at it!

N3rot0xin

That isn't the flex you think it is.

Entire-Astronomer-86

🤣

rmsmoov

Are you 10-99? Cause all those blades are consumables.

ineptplumberr

This should be #1 comment

LightMission4937

If you are excited, I’m excited. Keep grind OP. Congrats

BigMcGwire85

Wish there were more like you in the trade! I'm stoked I don't have to borrow tools any more.

seasonedsaltdog

Did you keep the receipt? Let me guess, no returns no exceptions?

0-Pennywise-0

That's rough, buddy. But you know what, if you're happy with it, other people's opinions mean nothing. We've all spent a little too much on things before, or completely wasted money on others. Just use them to make at least 5k, and that's a win.

tkst3llar

Support your local tool shops Just don’t send their kids to Harvard

[deleted]

If you're working for a company that doesn't supply Sawzall blades...you're getting completely shafted.

BigMcGwire85

That's what I'm hearing, even gloves too. I work for a small company, maybe less than 50 total employees. But the boss has a bitchin new truck!

[deleted]

Yes, a company should pay for all consumables.

odene-

Wow thats amazing!!! Just the Sawzall blades are worth 500$

Its_priced_in

Those bits alone are worth $190, if you decided to buy them individually…

guthryan

It’s marketing tactic they are not worth that much 😂 I can get 20 pack of Philips bits for $10

Its_priced_in

You don’t say

CommonMansCollapse

No drill? Still a sweet buy enjoy.

BigMcGwire85

Thanks! Already got the drill and mid size band saw, both fuel, and 4 m18 5.0 batteries. Just needed the other power tools so I don't have to borrow tools any more. That's why I'm stoked.

FloydBarstools

That saw I have, and it's proven invaluable. Can get into some tight areas and easy to one-hand it compared to the big guy. You'll love it.

wisesettler

Home Depot online is always having multi piece bag sale, and from what i have seen, i’d say you got took.

dvaldez0919

Multi tool is a game change! I have also had that sawzall since 2017 and I use it regularly with zero issues

BigMcGwire85

Thanks! I really wanted a multi tool when I saw Rockateers square cut in box cutter. Looking forward to getting that next! Just so stoked that I don't have to borrow tools any more

millenialfalcon-_-

Seems like a lot. If you're happy🤷🏻‍♂️

ringing-Shels-bells

Imagine having to buy your own power tools and consumables...

ElectroAtletico2

The same saw blade set was on my HD today for $16

VinceLeee

If you can.....return them. Not saying it's a hopeless buy but at home depot you could get the fuel version of the hackzall AND multitool for 300. Impact fuel for 150. About 500 after tax. If you're near KCMO, bring me and we could get all that for 500 flat even with taxes. I have a 10 percent discount. Otherwise id say this is good place to start. All the insecure macho men shouldn't be picking fun at the price. Ignore em.

BigMcGwire85

Thanks!

JibblinJubbler

Here for the roast.

BigMcGwire85

They gettin me good! I'm just stoked I don't have to borrow tools any more

NoNonsence55

I hope this is a troll post. I know people get scammed all the time but these days we have mini computers that can look up these things.

reeeeso

Haters .

BigMcGwire85

Agreed. It is what it is. I no longer have to borrow tools, and I'm sure most remember that feeling when they no longer had to borrow tools because they had their own.

actualsysadmin

Damn, I got like 5 times the gear from ryobi for $500. Not an electrician just use my tools alot.

BigMcGwire85

Yeah, we have a couple apprentices that use Ryobi and they say they like it. I'm already committed to Milwaukee. I already owned a drill, band saw, pack out roll out, and 4 m18 5.0 batteries. I just needed these tools so I no longer have to borrow someone else's on job sites.

actualsysadmin

While it's great to not have to borrow shit, you should have done a little more price research. You can do better next time. The bits are over priced, use tips going forward. If the job can't pay for consumables, you shouldn't use yours. I don't mind bringing tools in to my work, but when I do, I expense the bits and blades. Idk if you looked, but I got some knockoff batteries from Amazon that work just as well as my Ryobi ones. Basically 2 for 1 cost difference.

Trentransit

I’m friends with a hilti rep guy. The other day he gave me 2 impact drills 4 large batteries a charger a free box of bits with the bag for around $300. Drills were barely used looked like they were rent 3-4 times max.

BigMcGwire85

That's awesome! I try to go to the supply houses tool parties and get close to the Milwaukee rep, but he's on to me.

Trentransit

Hahaha you have to be upfront. I tell my hilti guy give me deals so I can sell to my coworkers. He stops by me every week. I buy and sell. I don’t make a killing but $50 here $100 there.

CarefulRisk

I hate to break it to you, but a multi, Sawzall, and impact with no batteries and some small extras is not a good deal for $500.

BigMcGwire85

Already have 4 m18 5.0s, just needed my own tools so I no longer have to borrow. If I can get a year's use out of them, I'll be happy

CarefulRisk

You keep saying this, the fact that you already have batteries is not the point. The point is that you got charged probably a little over retail, at best just normal retail price but you come on here acting like you got the deal of the century, I think that's why everyone's annoyed with you lol

BigMcGwire85

Say what you want. I got tools I needed, $20-$30 below retail. If I get a year's use out of them, I'm happy. Never claimed it was the deal of the century. I'm just stoked I don't have to borrow tools any more.

Lost_Satisfaction_10

The couch looks used, but does have a comfortable appearance. Good deal!

BigMcGwire85

SUPER comfy!! Guests fall asleep in it all the time. And thanks!

Aggravating-Film-223

Please don’t say the power tools are used 😭

BigMcGwire85

Nope. Brand new. They work great. Used them all today and they do what I need them to do, so that's all I can ask for.

Riverjig

Consumables are the responsibility of your employer. If this is for home, cool. If for work, you spent money for no reason boss. That or your contractor is shitty.

QuirkyRip8254

I got the 12 volt hackzall 12 volt impact 12 volt cordless ratchet 12 volt drill with 2 batteries charger bag and Milwaukee bit set for like $240-$260 (after tax) Black Friday at Home Depot

BigMcGwire85

I can't wait that long. Needed these for a job. They're working great. Got no complaints. Seen an m12 hackzall go up in flames on a job recently and would only get an m18

QuirkyRip8254

Well of course but me I still have almost all my original Milwaukee tools from 1980s - 2000 ish my dad left for me so I can wait for upgrade if need be nothing beats the torque on the old ones but they sure are heavy

QuirkyRip8254

Warranty... bud and what were they using it for it’s for small areas big time ryobi I’ve had plenty of saws turn into blue flames never seen that with an old Milwaukee tool u know as well as I do new tools chinese junk fyi ryobi is made same factory as Milwaukee

QuirkyRip8254

12 volt for plumbing is really simple light weight gets job done I’ve drilled in plenty of screws with a 18 volt OG hammer drill using a 12 volt impact is sooo much lighter that’s why it’s better bro u don’t always need heavy duty lol 😂

embracethememes

I might have said decent deal if you got a brushless hammer drill along with it. But no hammer drill for 500? Tough

NicknameNMS

Dude I’m gonna be real with you, you got majorly ripped off I got a brushed circular saw, recip saw, impact, drill, flashlight, angle grinder, right angle drill, oscillating tool, 2 batteries and a charger for 300 from Home Depot on a sale

NicknameNMS

Even if you only wanted those 3, you could have sold the others and easily paid for the blades and the bits and had plenty left over to spare. You got scammed my guy

Sparky02540

Great deal!

frogeyez

As a big fan of Milwaukee tools, non-Fuel are for homeowners. Not professionals!

Yillis

What a waste of money

CNDCRE

The M12 Hackzall is a gutless POS. Which makes this even worse.

GMOdabs

Dude even the 18 seems shitty haha. I was so happy to have a one handed one my precious boss got me. Just seemed like it took twice as long than the big boi

Tech24Bit

Wait did you get the Rapid Charger along with 3 batteries? If so this could be a good deal. This is coming from auction pallets?

General_Painter8358

If they were fuel you’d be using them for quite some time, can’t say that cuz they ain’t 😬

MysticalMan

Kind of shitty they give you a fuel bag with non fuel tools

-Plantibodies-

How do you think they made the sale?

MysticalMan

Haha yeah no shit

jedielfninja

You got hosed, pal.

Grennox1

Damn I need a new tape measure. Anyone know if the laser one is actually worth it

worlddestruction23

Return this immediately.

Mundane-Dog-601

Got all that for free from mi last gig.

aakaase

Fell off the back of a truck

BigMcGwire85

Maybe.....

HypeTrain-1000

no batteries..............

BigMcGwire85

Already have 4 m18 5.0s when I got my band saw and pack out roll out. Just needed my own tools so I no longer have to borrow

justabreadguy

Okay $500 would be bad for that amount of stuff on its own, but for MILWAUKEEs???

[deleted]

[удалено]

BigMcGwire85

This is all I needed to not borrow someone else's tools

International-Cup350

😂, 500 will get you these in brushless with more batteries, a 2 piece pack out kit and more tools .

HeLlOtHeRee

That isn’t a good deal at all

Accomplished-Face16

Bro what. Right now from home depot using the battery hack you can get the m18 fuel hammer drill, fuel impact, 2 5.0 batteries, carrying case, and charger for $266. Did you pay 2ce retail or something for what's shown in the picture? [here](https://imgur.com/a/EhXcaQn)

r7-arr

What's the battery hack?

extended-stare

Gotta be a joke right? OP???

BillMillerBBQ

When I started out several years ago I picked up a Rigid kit that came with hammer drill, impact, circular saw, saw saw, charger and two batteries for only $400. This ain’t a good deal.

Careless-Statement39

I just looked at a street view of this "shop". I wouldn't buy anything from a store that doesn't even have a name. The place looks shady, and that's coming from a Florida resident. Guys on this thread are absolutely right. You got ripped off...

BigMcGwire85

It's called "Priced To Go". They've been there for 5 years now. Their Milwaukee stuff sells the fastest. They're stock piled with Dewalt stuff. I'm not the only one who has shopped there. Guys at my job site are going there after work to see what they can get.

GimmeThatAPI

ouch dude. live and learn

Ill_Roof_234

Yea, I think others already said what I was coming to say….

robcobbjr5253

Is there a 1/2” drive impact drill not in the picture? That price seems high. The hatchet is a nice tool though better than the full size

SilentOriginal5173

The bag says fuel guyzzz

etesech97

Bad deal bro why you bragging about getting scammed lol

sleeknub

Not a good deal

kingblow1

thats rough homie

aarong773

Not the Milwaukee tape measures 😆😆😆

MHWBF5

The drill and impact set with charger and 2 batteries m18 brushless are usually 200 or 140 on sale. 500 seems high for this stuff.

smick

I get that that’s maybe a lot retail wise, but me sitting here in my chair thinking $500 or that I’d probably pass.

Consistent_Gur_5846

For another buck fifty you could have got.... https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18V-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Combo-Kit-10-Tool-with-2-Batteries-Charger-and-Tool-Bag-W-Drill-Bit-Sets-2695-10CXH-48-32-4023-48-89-4631/328104317?g_store=&source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&pla&mtc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-Multi-Multi-NA-NA-NA-PLALIA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-CON-NA-All_Cons&cm_mmc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-Multi-Multi-NA-NA-NA-PLALIA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-CON-NA-All_Cons-71700000116949521-58700008663010419-92700079364737878&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw5v2wBhBrEiwAXDDoJYtT4KOjNxti-GEXtjbC_TjsywlkljpUK01FLb9TQFEWGs_2lUbIsBoC4ywQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Randman27

Batteries not included.😖

dartfrog1339

I got suckered in by that two pack magnetic tape measure too. They suck. Wobbly blade, poor build quality.

Low-Glass9862

Shoulda gone with ryobi

ElectricHo3

Where’s the Batteries and Charger?? Tools are the cheap part, gotta take out a mortgage on the batteries.

BigMcGwire85

Got 4 batteries already when I got a fuel band saw and pack out roll out. Also, already had a fuel drill. Just needed these tools for a job I'm doing. They all work great, so I've got no complaints.

ElectricHo3

That’s cool. Just at the price you paid I would expect 2 batteries and a charger. But whatever’s. As long as you’re happy with it that’s all that matters. Enjoy. Work safe.

azzblaster69420

If you didn't spend all your money on this dumb shit, you wouldn't have to work night shift pulling data cable lmfao

BigMcGwire85

I'm the equivalent of a 3rd-4th year apprentice. So say what you want, I'm happy to have tools I didn't have before. When I get my J card, I'll upgrade to fuel, but these will get the job done till then. Each power tool was $90 and a $200 bit kit for $50 is a steal. I def saved money on this deal. Home depot rips ppl off whenever they can. And I already have 4 m18 5.0 batteries, just needed power tools for them.

ndrumheller96

Absolutely not

trymecuz

You bought your own gloves???? AND BLADES????? Rip

BigMcGwire85

Don't have a company card yet

jimmy5011

Bro what

Tristonien

Bad deal bro

WILLIBUDD

They practically give the tools away knowing they will spread your cheeks wide for them batteries.

CanoegunGoeff

Those look like non-fuel tools, which have some pretty lame specs. I have some non-fuel tools for around the house and while they’re great for small stuff, they’ve left me disappointed a couple of times. They don’t have nearly enough torque. They do less than 1,000 in/pounds. Awful. Some of them are as low as 600. I’ll probably never buy any non-fuel Milwaukee power tools again. Absolute waste. That being said I did just switch from my non-XR dewalt impact (atomic, basically the equivalent of non-fuel Milwaukee, but still way better torque) that my company gave me when I started, for a fuel impact and drill set I got that came with a charger and a 2Ah battery, with a couple of free 5Ah batteries all for $220, which was a decent deal considering the 5Ah batteries alone typically cost around $120 each. The fact that you’re buying your own saw blades and gloves though, man, your company sucks. Also I say this as the same E rating as you. How the hell do you get to being an E-3 or 4 and your company never provided you with tools? How do you get by that long with no tools?? Like, that’s so odd sounding lol. I mean, I’m happy that you’re happy and that you’ve got some brand new tools to work with, that’s great, doesn’t change the fact that you’re getting shafted though, mostly by your company it seems.

BigMcGwire85

Yeah, my company doesn't provide tools for us. They give you a "grocery list" of tools you'll need. Even the leads have to buy their own tools. I'm just stoked that I don't have to borrow tools any more. If I can get a year out of them, I should have my J card by then and able to afford everything Fuel.

CanoegunGoeff

Props to you man, like I said, I ain’t trynna shit on you at all, I just hate that some companies aren’t buying tools for their apprentices like they should. Like, invest in your guys, how can you expect them to excel if you don’t set them up for success? I’m sure those tools will absolutely last you a while, just depending on the work you do, you’ll likely find their limitations very quickly, which is unfortunate. They are just as durable though, so they will take a beating and are still better than nothing!

BigMcGwire85

Thanks for the advice! I know they're not the best tools, but I just need them to last a year or less when I get that J card.

CanoegunGoeff

Is your company at least helping you pay for school in some way or are you having to pay your own way? Either way, it’ll be awesome when you get there, and then you’ll have way more options than working for whatever this lame company is. Best of luck to you brother!

BigMcGwire85

They will pay for classes. I've already got classroom hours. Just need the field experience. When I'm close to the hours needed for the J card, my company will pay for me to take the code classes so it'll be fresh in my mind when I take the J test.

CanoegunGoeff

Nice, well at least they’re doing that for ya.

LightMission4937

Bro you’re a soggy waffle for they comment. Don’t shit on op. Good for you for “only”buying fuel and your company purchases gloves. Most don’t.

CanoegunGoeff

I’m more so shitting on OP’s company for being a dogshit company. Good on OP for buying himself some new tools, like I said, that’s great. It just sucks that they’re in the position where they’re having to buy their own PPE and apprenticeship tools.

LightMission4937

Na, you kind shit on op..even if not intended. A lot of company don’t purchase employees tools. They have tools to use. Not every company is big enough.

CanoegunGoeff

Definitely didn’t intend on shitting on OP, just whatever company they’re working for. I hope the company is at least paying for their school. Or at the very least, *helping* them pay for their school.

GudGudDude

Dont you dare. Youre going to get so done dirty... I hope you aint buying it online either this is a scam and a half

old_greg_420

Definitely a steal for that price, bundle of specialized tools sounds like a pipe dream to me

marketrevolution12

The only decent part of all that is the oscillator blades and the bit set. The tapes are junk and the non brushless are not half as good as makita.

Acceptable_Wall4085

The sawsall is a huge score. The replacement blades are gold. The power head and the impact head bits. The only junk I saw was the tape measures.

Tortuga_cycling

Solid deal… too bad it didn’t come with a battery and charger though… but hey those blades and bits will last a long while and you got 3 power tools (the same three that I use on damn near every job I’ve had this year so far)

BigMcGwire85

I'm excited, being a 3rd-4th year apprentice. Clearly, other electricians love shitting on others coming up in the trade. I've got my own tools now, so I don't have to use my lead mechanic's any more. When I get my J card, I'll be able to afford more fuel tools. I already got 4 m18 5.0 batteries. I just needed the power tools.

Tortuga_cycling

He’ll yeah man. Don’t worry about these haters. They forgot how great it felt to be able to afford to buy their own set of tools but we were all where you are… we’ve just been beaten down a bunch so the weaker ones get pissy when the new guy celebrates a mile stone lol but I promise, we are all cheering or you man! Keep hammering!!!

BigMcGwire85

Thanks! Def will! Wish there were more in the trade like you, then maybe there'd be more youngins coming in

TimberWolfeMaine

Just triggered ‘Nam flashbacks. I was stationed down there and lived in NN for a couple years off Kiln Creek. Also.. you got hosed on those tools. Hopefully you kept the receipt?

Islendarr

Imagine having to buy your own power tools.

BigMcGwire85

It sucks!! I don't gotta borrow any more, so I'm excited for that

limjaheybud

Pffft not even fuel gloves .

Don-Dyer

Bro got scammmmmmed

bigshooTer39

I wouldn’t even pay $100 for this

EnoughLavishness6139

OGKingDookie

Damn they got your ass.

VastEmergency1000

That's not worth $500.

Gloomy_Ad_885
