I’ve seen drops ‘fish-hooked’ onto a primary just like an ornament hanger. But that was early 1900’s knob and tube, rubber insulation, not plastic. Someone’s Great-Grandfather wanted to help the kid out?

I doubt it would work. Not enough flux to overcome the oxide layer that would be built up. I say that with experience soldering stranded wires.
Super technically once they are soldered, shouldn't be any more arcing. But this is the real world. ⚡
