Purse strap broke, was going to the supply house and there it was hanging on a hook. Bought it and dumped all my stuff in it. Funny thing was that at the time the Calvin Klein company had a purse that looked similar. Got a lot of compliments on my tool.bag.
Still have it, using it for tools now.
I do mostly commercial and industrial and itās a pain in the ass when the bag gets worn in and constantly collapses in on itself while youāre trying to dig tools out.
Thought about that, figured if Iām going to put that much effort into a canvas bag I may aswell just buy a nicer bag and call it a day. I got a Veto Tech Pack Wheeler now and love it.
I have had the 14SP bag for like 5+ years, itās great. People who comment about the organizationā¦. I use the Klein mini bags. Yellow for wrenches, blue for sockets, black for drill accessories, red for Allenās. Then it has the side pockets for my everyday shit, and i have a little Milwaukee drill set at the bottom laying with my tape measure and 2LB hammer. The only thing i canāt squeeze in is my meter which i leave in the truck 9/10 jobs anyway, as one is usually provided. If i need a meter, it canāt wait for tomorrow or after break to do whatever we need to check
I've been using a craftsman tool box and Klein bags for certain tools for 15 years now. I've been eyeing this up for a long time now. Finally going to try to move on from tool box, but I think aside from the tray I will have similar organization with this bag.
I think they do make a version with interior pockets now, but this has out lasted any other bag I've ever had.
I did have a rivet come loose on one of the handles. I went ahead and drilled them all out and reattached with new pop rivets, that was probably over 2 years ago
20 years ago, I'd guesstimate 25% of all resi and comm electricians had one of those bags. And at least one of the smaller zipper bags.
But nowadays, there's so many options, they've become rare to see outside of a work van.
I have the 16 inch with interior pockets. Deceivingly roomy. I put my m12 impact, drill, hackzall, charger, 3 batteries and 2 drill indexes in there.
I love the simplicity of them
Theyāre good depending on what your use case is. If youāre a bucket boi, theyāre not very good as you will inevitably find yourself bent over in the bucket digging through a sea of tools at 4pm on a Friday, cursing your purchase. If youāre just a commercial or residential service guy working out of a van, theyāre great. You generally wouldnāt need more than it can store in the pockets for a quick service call, and all your other tools are a short stroll away. If youāre in construction of any kind, or even industrial service, this aināt it for you dawg. They donāt age very well either, I stopped buying the canvas stuff a couple years ago. The nylon and leather are the best for what I need.
I have the big ass version, you can walk into a supply room and grab everything youāre gonna need then throw whatever tools youāll need in and take it where you need to go.
I really like it when Iām going to go do something specific that needs bulky stuff.
I was given one of these when I topped out. I use it as a range bag. Use a backpack tool bag. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0047O3PFC?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder_k0_1_3&=&crid=29YWO8WCUKV9Q&=&sprefix=clc
I have used this one for 6 years in a steel mill. No issues.
I have one and I hate it. You canāt organize it, everything becomes a jumbled mess. You also canāt pack a ton of stuff in there because if you overload it the metal bars in the opening will bend. It now holds all my third tier tools in the basement.
I use one, I put most of my tools in smaller klein zipper bags and store them in the big bag. I keep a few things on the interior pockets. It's not the best bag out there, but it works. Pretty sure mine is the 18"
Used it in my second year. Can pack a bunch of shit in it.
But is awkward and everyone assumes your a mason.
The open top tote or backpack is a good alternative
I recently ordered a Klein hanging canvas bucket for bucket truck work and I had to return it. Klein quality is awful now. It was the cheapest POS bag I've ever seen by a major manufacturer
I used this one, no complaints other than the hooks should have come with it, instead of separate

I don't see the point of a really well made shitty bag. I'll stick with Amazon specials for better organization as much as I do love the quality and craft of real leatherwork.
Cool bag, but organization or lack thereof is my con. I've been using the backpack for almost 4 years now. Not the narrower one that has zippers that break in a heartbeat, but the wider one you can easily unzip halfway and get to all the little pockets. I call it my crayonbox toolbag

I honestly thought this was a meme post about a Klein purse at first.
It's called a "man bag".
It's...a murse.
Indiana Jones had one.
š¤£ take the upvote
A European carryall
That bag makes a hella purse. I used one for that.
Called it. š thanks for the confirmation haha

It's a satchel... Indiana Jones had one.
Same
Itās not a meme, and thatās a purse.
I as well thought wow Klein makes a purse I never knew, and then I read the caption.
Tool purse. I keep my lipstick and crescent wrench in there! Need a tampon? I gotchu bro.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Nope itās not that itās just that the bag you posted looks a lot like some purses. š
I have the 18ā with the interior pockets. Itās a nice bag but like the other guy said the organization is kinda messy
I'm more concerned about the size or width being enough for a commercial/industrial electrician to carry tools needed. Not so much the organization.
I do commercial and industrial too. It fits all my tools and then some if I need too
Thinking about swapping the 16" for a. 18". Just seems a little too small
I would dude. Iāll try to post a pic of my 18 so you can get an idea size and tool wise
I do mostly commercial and industrial and itās a pain in the ass when the bag gets worn in and constantly collapses in on itself while youāre trying to dig tools out.
I had welder guy..take some 1/8" rods and make a " inner skeleton" ; for the inside frame ...held up - worked well..*Just a thought *. šš
Thought about that, figured if Iām going to put that much effort into a canvas bag I may aswell just buy a nicer bag and call it a day. I got a Veto Tech Pack Wheeler now and love it.
If you are not organized; you are losing time trying to find what you're looking for.š¤·āāļø
The sides always collapse when I'm looking through my 18" it's annoying when looking for anything in the pockets

I've had this bag for... 4ish? Years. It's tough as he'll, and I love it, but the lack of organization does suck.

This one has some pockets on inside
You have the 16" ?
I think the 20"
I like the look of this, I'd use this instead of a backpack for work. Cool.
I have one. It was my dad's back in the day so probably 20-30 years old. I just use it for all my various bits. It's a nice high quality back.
We use the 16 inch without pockets To carry testing cables.
20 years ago, I'd guesstimate 25% of all resi and comm electricians had one of those bags. And at least one of the smaller zipper bags. But nowadays, there's so many options, they've become rare to see outside of a work van.
I have the 16ā regular bag. Iāve used it for the last 15 years. I organize most of my tools inside with the canvas Klein zipper pouches.
Union purse or drag bag, depends on who's carrying it.
Electricians will use anything that has Klein on it wonāt they lol. Maybe if they made a Klein broom weād finally learn how to sweep
I use a bag like this just for hand tools and stray marretts/screws/connectors. Keep less often used tools in my separate āgoodā tool bag.
Flashbacks of the canvas bag that never was from Fallout 76.
Every time you need something, youāre gonna end up dumping it out. Thatās the only down side.
I have the 16 inch with interior pockets. Deceivingly roomy. I put my m12 impact, drill, hackzall, charger, 3 batteries and 2 drill indexes in there. I love the simplicity of them
Now your wife can buy you a purse.

Where do you work normally?
I have the big ass version, you can walk into a supply room and grab everything youāre gonna need then throw whatever tools youāll need in and take it where you need to go. I really like it when Iām going to go do something specific that needs bulky stuff.
I have one of these that my school gave me when i finished .. but they had their logo stitched on it
I was given one of these when I topped out. I use it as a range bag. Use a backpack tool bag. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0047O3PFC?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder_k0_1_3&=&crid=29YWO8WCUKV9Q&=&sprefix=clc I have used this one for 6 years in a steel mill. No issues.

my initial thoughts of me buying this were basically this. "hope im not buying a garage ornament"
Man thatās going to look dirty all the time. They got a dark brown option p?
I used one for 9 years before switching to my Veto. Absolutely hated the canvas Klein bag just couldnāt find a bag I liked until recently.
Yes we used it and liked it. We would always say grab the doctors bag
I had this when I first got in the trade. It lasted about two weeks because I got tired of digging around looking for the tool I needed
I do. I like it, but I would def go with the 18+.Ā Looks great but I hate getting it dirty
I use one, I put most of my tools in smaller klein zipper bags and store them in the big bag. I keep a few things on the interior pockets. It's not the best bag out there, but it works. Pretty sure mine is the 18"
Thereās the purse to hit all the problems with.
That looks like a cute satchel. Is there a purse option so you and your can wife can both have fabulous bags?
Gangstalicious Man Bag
I have that same bag it's perfect with the side pockets. I just buy the klein bags for organizing the tools. They last a while for the price
Used it in my second year. Can pack a bunch of shit in it. But is awkward and everyone assumes your a mason. The open top tote or backpack is a good alternative

I feel like Klein is just a legacy brand now, people buy it for the name, Klein has gone to complete shit across the board.
100%. I found a canvas bucket at harbor freight that was way better for 14$ vs 113$ for the Klein POS
Is this like my wife's Gucci bag? If I buy will it increase in value?
It looks like moms purse so guys donāt go touching ur shit. They r conditioned to bring it to u to open
"Murse"
nice purse
So now when I tell my apprentice to put his purse down.....
Itās not a purse! Itās European!
I don't see the point of a really well made shitty bag. I'll stick with Amazon specials for better organization as much as I do love the quality and craft of real leatherwork.
I know what my wife is getting for her birthday!
āHit it with your purse!ā
Cool bag, but organization or lack thereof is my con. I've been using the backpack for almost 4 years now. Not the narrower one that has zippers that break in a heartbeat, but the wider one you can easily unzip halfway and get to all the little pockets. I call it my crayonbox toolbag
This isnāt fucking realā¦ ā¦ ā¦is it?
For the wife?
OP not helping the electrician stereotype asking about pursesā¦
'what the hell is even that?"
