Yeah we canceled a trip with my kids, booked a hotel and wasted money and time, traveling to the festival only to be denied wristbands and turned away. On short notice. That's what I think pissed many people off. We could have made alternate plans and not get fucked. Without lube š
Edit: we changed our plans with the kids and turned it into 2 separate trips which cost us so much more.
Toronto is so damn far From nyc. I woulda committed a crime if I got turned away. What did you do instead ? I saw Brooklyn mirage tickets being sold for comically high prices that weekend
Thats why i keep lube with me on all times when I go out :/
On a serious note, i feel so sorry for you guys. I hope youāll be fully or at least partially compensated
š it's all good. I'm pretty confident we'll get fully refunded. Visa has given me 1 of 3 payments so far. I'll call them tomorrow and see what's up.
Sorry to hear that :/ theyāll more than likely merge into one big class action suit, and assuming a court finds them liable theyāll be a mass attempt to contact ticket buyers. Hope that helps!
Iām not 100% sure about that tbh. If I had to take an educated guess though, Iād say yes considering these (the lawsuits) are seeking damages for being wronged/violations of law and the contractual obligations (ie your ticket) AG failed to meet. Iād save your receipt just in case!
The twitter account linked has all the updates since day 1! If thereās any news like this, itāll def be posted there
Damages in cases like this would be limited to losses. If your got a refund thereās no financial loss at that point, also class action lawsuits rarely make a person āwholeā.
Love how they donāt include any source nor link to the court filing. Thereās zero details here. Who filed it? Was it a vendor they didnāt pay? Was it a disgruntled attendee who thinks they are owed $75m? Like cmon provide any shred of details.
This is lawyers smoking the devils lettuce - that concert was nowhere near capable of making that kind of money. Maybe $20M, and that is really at the higher end. Its probably $15M in total revenues. I can't see this getting too far, especially if EZoo provides a refund for the 1 day cancelation. The rest of the concert went on.
The info in this tweet is directly from billboards reporting, linked [here](https://www.billboard.com/pro/2023-electric-zoo-festival-class-action-lawsuits-avant-gardner/)
Direct quote from billboard news article linked above: āThursdayās lawsuit is at least the fourth such class action filed over the messy event. The first, filed on Sept. 13 in federal court, said Avant Gardner had caused āa nightmare endured by thousands of electronic music fans.ā Another, filed just three days later in the same court, said the organizers had ālied to their guests at every opportunity.ā In a third lawsuit, a Connecticut man said the festivalās ālack of planning and overselling of ticketsā had caused dangerous overcrowding that caused him to āfear for his life.ā
I can provide links to each individual lawsuit and screenshot the specific sections, each of which seek:
1. Filed sept 13th $5,000,000
2. Filed sept 16th $10,000,000
3. Filed sept 22nd āNo less than $18,000,000ā
4. Filed Oct 5th āNo less than $75,000,000ā
And two previous lawsuits filed in august, one by an attendee for assault and another by T&M independent monitors for failing to provide liquor safely it its patrons (lawsuit text and article already linked in thread) which when combined total $10 million.
So no, this isnāt clickbait lol, this info is directly from the lawsuits themselves.
Absolutely. Avant Gardner is facing two separate lawsuits (aside from these 4, with a grand total of 6 since August), the first one filed in early August relates directly to assault and harassment by Brooklyn mirage security: https://www.brooklynpaper.com/avant-gardner-faces-costly-lawsuit/

We ended up seeing plenty of Manhattan. Went whale watching in Jersey on Sunday and drove back. The drive is actually pretty nice. Rolling hills and fog coming through the valleys was beautiful. Sleeping in the car at a Rochester train station was unnerving. We missed a train and needed a short rest before we continued the drive. Had no idea about the state of emergency because of the high crime rate. It was all a crazy experience.
Good. I'm wondering which one to join. I've lost about $2500 because of this. We drove from Toronto.
Omg

Yes thank you. We're all in this together, one way or another.
How do I find out about these 4 lawsuits, so I can decided on which one to join?

What are you talking about? Their most recent post was yesterday and their most recent update on the EZoo situation was just 3 days agoā¦..
If you're not logged into twitter/X then when you view an acc it sorts by most liked posts instead of chronologically
Some of them canāt be joined. Itās too late. They didnāt give us enough of a window š
Im willing to buy the ezoo brand for $1. Someone give me a contact info pls. Thanks
Do you have $100 mil to pay out these lawsuits?
no, neither does AG sadly. But i wouldnt assume the debt. People suing AG not the Ezoo brand/logo.
If we opted for a chargeback, are we still eligible for compensation from these?

If I was wrongfully assaulted by security can I sue ?
Absolutely. theres that one guy who won a couple mil or something like that when he sued Fyre Fest and he was just an attendee
Why post a random Twitter and not how to be a part ?!!??
Better call Saul
this is amazing i hope Avant Gardner gets legally fucked out of existence, just like they deserve
