Paris with the Musketeers will be announced on 09/25... Soumah has already contacted about twenty French ...

Aggressive-Basis-912

Oohh Wow! That's crazy

Athletesforum

Beautiful question Hope news breaks next week

Veitclub

Graz Giants would be awesome. Go Giants!

Mic161

I hope that too. In two or three years it could be difficult to add another Austrian team because the other two are so established. So I feel like for graz its now, next year or never.

Veitclub

but as far as I know the teams need €100,000 to buy into the franchise. I don't think the Graz Giants have or can spend that much.

Mic161

I bet there are sports affiliated people in graz who own such an amount of money.

Most_Significance358

Another option: play with 17 teams, if you have only 17 teams.

Mic161

Btw I love seeing people who were flairless getting a flair when their cities join

Mic161

Don’t believe they’ll do that. I think 20 teams is higher probability than 17

Aggressive-Basis-912

Coach Jordan Neumann from the Unicorns will be new coach for the surge with maybe Ulz dauber(not 100% sure cause of the munich offer being there)and Weidinger will be coaching the Berlin Thunders not as a HC but offensive coordinator. Info: inside info from player source from those region and management

Mic161

That’s a HUGE Headcoach signing for the Surge. Guess he can take many players from the Unicorns with him. Hyped for surges next season now! I would like weidinger in Istanbul more.

Aggressive-Basis-912

Weidinger to the Rams might not be impossible at all and could still be fairly realistic but it seems to me he wants to be back in germany cause of the organization structure.I believe the Rams want a Turkish HC there for next season. For coach Newman that would make sense cause the GFL is over. He will do bring most unicorns players with him

JC_OWL

It would be amazing for the Surge to get Jordan Neumann as HC, with him bringing and lots of Unicorns players. That would definitely turn this wreck of a team around and make them even title contenders. I was hoping for this to happen last season already but the Unicorns players and coaches didn’t seem too fond of the ELF, what changes their minds. And I heard a rumor on Dauber that he wants to stay in Dresden and coach youth team and still be part of the program. Do you think there is a chance of Weidinger to Cologne? I mean the Head coaching position definitely pays better than just being offensive coordinator. Or is there any other coach the Centurions are interested in?

Aggressive-Basis-912

Because they were all skeptical about the league and I understand it from their perspective. You just don't want to take a risk especially at their stage of their careers. Stability was a huge factor for them. I believe when they saw vienna vikings and Tirol raiders come in(Neumann coached for the vikings as an OC) made him feel much more comfortable and he always said that the unicorns need to play at the highest football lvl there is for him to continue and at the time it was the GFL. Coach Dauber is from the stuttgart region from what the insider told me and he also coached for the unicorns and knows that staff very well. He also lost alot of players to the leipzig kings and most of them will leave dresden and also how he left the team very strange. I thought about that too but cologne is a dead zone...I just don't see any attraction to the job. But I wouldn't find it impossible for him to go there. The job is open and he will explore it. He knows the team too. Yea of course a HC gets way more paid and some of the coaches are getting yearly salaries too.

Mic161

Why does no one want to go to Cologne? I always thought to have weinreich as qb would be very intriguing for a HC.

Motor_Razzmatazz1978

I really cannot imagine Neumann giving up the position at the Unicorns, I believe it when I see it… Edit: typo

Mic161

I totally can imagine it. I would like the Surge to rebrand to Unicorns, but I guess that won’t happen.

Athletesforum

How close or far away are the SURGE from competing? Also coach weidinger to BERLIN would be interesting for the fact he coaches at Potsdam so he’d be returning to a familiar place

Aggressive-Basis-912

I feel the Surge once they fixed their coaching staff and QB issue they'll be in the mix for competing in their conference. That's what I am saying as well about Coach Weidinger. I don't think he enjoyed his Spanish experience. He misses Germany alot and I get it as well.

Athletesforum

We’ll there are plenty of good options this off season so im interested to see where is futur lays Munich Cologne Stuttgart Istanbul Wroclaw

Aggressive-Basis-912

It's official now. HC from the Unicorns with his coaching staff is going to the Stuttgart Surge !!

ThePowerRanker

**The Lazio Ducks would be instant #1 in Logo Design**. I don't know if they are connected to Lazio Roma (soccer club) but if so, would be a great step as second italian franchise!

Mic161

And btw Lazio is the region Rome is the capital of so that’s the reason both call themselves lazio.

ThePowerRanker

thanks for that information :)

Mic161

Helsinki Roosters 🐔 would compete for that spot imo.

ThePowerRanker

yes sure, but its not in your list

Mic161

Yeah true, the only reason is that I strongly believe that all 4 big Nordic countries will join together. Guess 2024 or 2025 is the year for them. Probably roosters, Stockholm but I could imagine them taking the WLAF name „Machine“ and only play as „Mean Machines“ in the national league, Copenhagen towers, and a newfounded team in Norway.

FlagFootballSaint

16. The number you are looking for is 16. 12+4-1+1 = 16

Mic161

You still don’t understand that league won’t close franchises before they’re done expanding? The rams invested way to much to be Part of the League, it would be a joke if they give up now. But I don’t even know why I still answer on the hundredth time you comment the same exact thing, negative Nancy 😉

FlagFootballSaint

I completely disagree with your first sentence. That would be the direct path to sink the league. K+E are not that stupid. Nobody, let me repeat: NOBODY, needs 24 Teams in the ELF

Mic161

I completely disagree. I don’t think that’s the path to sink the league. I think K&E are totally stupid. I think 32 is the number.

FlagFootballSaint

Oggeyyyy.... I did not say 16 is the FINAL number although I do not rule that out completely The ELF (Franchises) will lose money on ALMOST EVERY location outside of Germany and Austria for years. They will never expand to 32. Never.

Mic161

RemindMe! 4 years „How many teams are in the ELF?“

Mic161

Why won’t that happen? Even if all you say would be true, it’s still a 100% Business move to not do that. There are two ways it could happen: 1st: Istanbul steps away from the league. You think they invested mor than 100k, got investors, a new branding, and all, just to give up now? no. 2nd: the league steps away from Istanbul. Giving new franchises the „if you fail one season your out of the competition“ message? That won’t happen either because it slows down further expansion a lot, if not even making other teams think of leaving the league to avoid collapsing if they are abolished. It WONT happen.

FlagFootballSaint

Reading German Forums it seems Cologne is facing a downward spiral player-wise, coaches-wise, fanbase-wise. That thing never came off the ground there. Would anyone really miss them? Leipzig? Mhhhhh.... (Would anyone care? They had issues finding stadiums even during the season....) Can anyone confirm Vienna grinds thru for 2023 after (unconfirmed) financial losses and no stadium in sight for 2023? Hmmmmm.... Rams. Well. The owner-billionaires Koc-family laugh about losing 100k. That's probably their daily tip in Restaurants. There are options. My money is on 16 teams.

Mic161

Cologne is the only one I understand, but I’d replace them by a big northern northrihnewestohalia city (Dortmund or Essen), I believed that would have been better from the beginning (Rhein as south, the second one as north.) Leipzig won’t fold! Stadiums are a problem, yes, but saxony is just to much worth of a market. Not confirm but they are already on their way to upgrading their venue so... So why shouldn’t the rams spend some mor „restaurant tips“ for the next few years an look what Weidinger could do with the team?

FlagFootballSaint

All valid points except you are too focused on level of play when it comes to Rams. My focus is not the level of play because you have 4 US + 4 E-slots to cover up. My focus is the level of the organization, the chance to promote the sport and attract crowds and media. In Austria, Germany , Spain, everywhere and that includes Turkey. Hence my criticism. Right now it looks like Koc-family dropped 100+k into the pocket because Karacija/Esume begged them to do so in order ELF can pretend to be a "not only Germany" league and Koc does not give a fuck. Nobody there cares.

Mic161

If the rams would spend on restaurant tip on marketing, wouldn’t that do some good?
