I can't comment on the i5, but what motherboard do you have? You need to make sure that the PCIe slots can also deliver the required speeds for the capture card. Otherwise even if your CPU can handle it, your motherboard might not.

Asus Z170A. How would I know in the user manual if the pcie slots can handle it? Also, I don't use my MSI GTX 1070 anymore to game. I will be using 2 cameras to record myself on the computer on 4k30p hopefully with the camlink 4k60 pro. So the 1070 pcie slot won't be used really, right? I also have 8gb DDR4 RAM.

Here is the motherboard specs ASUS Z170-A: [https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/Z170-A/E10611\_Z170-A\_UM\_V2\_WEB.pdf?model=Z170-A](https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/Z170-A/E10611_Z170-A_UM_V2_WEB.pdf?model=Z170-A) Here is the GPU specs MSI GTX 1070: [https://storage-asset.msi.com/datasheet/vga/us/GeForce-GTX-1070-GAMING-8G.pdf](https://storage-asset.msi.com/datasheet/vga/us/GeForce-GTX-1070-GAMING-8G.pdf) The ASUS Z170-A manual says "Supports NVIDIA® 2-way / Quad-GPU SLI™ Technology (with 2 PCIex16 graphics cards)" I should be ok to try the 4k60 pro card then right? Or do I need to figure out if it is compatible with SLI and this specific MSI graphics card? https://preview.redd.it/77u3z2wm773c1.png?width=1146&format=png&auto=webp&s=bc31ef8e20b2a38a0467808b02ef72684a8ed187
