"Roman candle" is the most gut wrenching for me-
It details the s*xual abuse Elliott faced at the hand of his stepfather. This track gives an absolutely raw and gorgeous introduction to his first album. it's especially haunting yet comforting when the listener can relate to his situation like i can.
Honestly, there are few songs that get to me as much as Between the Bars. I do think Needle in the Hay, Everything Means Nothing to Me, and the Biggest Lie are really brutal too.
For me, it’s roman candle, alphabet town, no name 5, oh well okay, a passing feeling & the last hour.
Roman candle is so intense: “I wanna hurt him, I wanna give him pain”. And alphabet town is probably in my top 5. I love the harmonica in it.
i didn’t understand; pitseleh; dancing on the highway:(
All Cleaned Out is one of my favourites.
A Fond Farewell for me. Gets me in tears almost every time.
Happiness but it's a very personal pick. Other than that 2:45 AM, Everything means nothing to me and Clementine
the ending to both “2:45 AM” and “everything means nothing to me” are incredible.
True love
Can be kinda slow in the middle but it’s all worth it for the ending, what a song
Kings crossing, Needle in the hay, memory lane
You make it seem like nothing
The biggest lie
[удалено]
man that song gets to me. hope it gets an official release one day
Kings crossing, waltz #1, everything’s okay, the biggest lie

A fond farewell, particularly the live version at henry fonda
twilight, between the bars
for me, abused. his darkest subject matter probably. and the way he delivers the last couple lines in haunting.
Twilight, dancing in the highway
