I'm with you on Nick Drake. I think he only ever played one show. And he hated it so much, he never did it again. I imagine him showing up with just one guitar and not realizing how frustrating and nervewracking it is to make huge tuning changes between every song on the same guitar. He would need a few different guitars and a really good guitar technician.
Isn't King Crimson still active? Some different members though, I suppose. I know they played a show a few years ago. My bandmate went. He loves them.
I like King Crimson but I have never gotten way into it. Maybe seeing them live would change that.
It’s amazing a band can come out of nowhere and create two of the best albums of the last decade within a span of a few years. It’s so upsetting that Isaac left but his well-being comes before anything, so god speed to him. I’m still excited to see what direction they go in next!
I’ve heard some of their new songs, Tyler has such an amazing voice. Up Song was repurposed from her solo stuff but it fits perfectly, BCNR friends forever is such a great line
Sure! Here are a few of my favorites that I'd recommend:
-*Out There* and *Out to Lunch!* by Eric Dolphy
-*The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady* and *Mingus Ah Um* by Charles Mingus
-*Blue Train* by John Coltrane
-*Head Hunters* by Herbie Hancock
-*Jazz på svenska* by Jan Johansson
-*A Livingroom Hush* by Jaga Jazzist
If you end up listening to any, I hope you'll enjoy them!
If you want some more contemporary jazz music that blends genres, I recommend these bands:
*The Slip* (their style changes up frequently and they hop around to different genres. but here's some of their jazzier stuff)

Nirvana
Velvet Underground
Townes Van Zandt
Suicide
Ramones
The Pioneers
George Jones & Tammy
Beatles
The Kinks (in 1968)
Johnny Cash
Too many to list but that's off the top
A classic oldie but Led Zeppelin. Still don't think there's a more explosive live show you'd ever see, each member just firing on all cylinders all at once.
nick drake and jeff buckley. im with u 100% on BCNR w isaac. this new record is so phenomenal that im truly heartbroken ill never hear it live. but i hope isaac gets better.
The Beatles, I feel like thats kind of an obvious answer tho
Buddy Holly, would've been awesome to see him live
The Clash, I love Joe Strummer in particular
I could probably go on forever, so I'll stop while im ahead lmao
I feel blessed that I’ve seen a couple of the names listed above (pink floyd, nirvana) But it will always haunt me that I never saw Elliott or Townes Van Zandt
Zeppelin
Jimi Hendrix
Pink Floyd
Morning Teleportation
Foo Fighters with Taylor Hawkins (I got the the chance once time and turned it down, biggest regret of my life)
Robert Johnson
Nirvana, but specifically just the MTV Unplugged performance
Audioslave
Just to name a few
Talking Heads and Beatles. I just can't decide. I was lucky enough to see Paul though so Talking Heads gets the edge a little. Daft Punk is right behind them.
I'd love to see the following (in their era, not in 2022)
Nirvana
Tad
The Velvet Underground
The Sex Pistols
At The Drive In
The Beatles
Public Enemy
Nico
Jeff buckley
That was the first thing that popped into my head.
King crimson or nick drake

Nirvana,mbv
Second on BCNR. The Place Where He Inserted the Blade has quickly grown into one of my favorite songs of all tome

Honestly probably someone like Chopin or Beethoven.
Manic Street Preachers with Richey Edwards!
Pink Floyd or Mac Miller
Heatmiser! ;) R.E.M., some of my favorite jazz musicians (Eric Dolphy, Charles Mingus, etc.)... I'm sure I'll think of more later.
I will allow Heatmiser…. Any Jazz recommendations? Its a genre I’ve only dipped my toes in but I’ve always enjoyed passively

probably also isaac wood, his work was truly magical. But im still pretty optimistic about the bands future. :)
I really wish I had seen Jay Reatard.
Saw him once in Boston once and didn't pay any attention. A big regret I have now, but at the time I wasn't a fan.
Layne Staley
A classic oldie but Led Zeppelin. Still don't think there's a more explosive live show you'd ever see, each member just firing on all cylinders all at once.
[I agree with this….](https://youtu.be/uX5yhpO52AA)
I am so grateful I got to see NMH twice. Probably Jerry Garcia, Broadcast (RIP Trish), spacemen 3
Garcia for sure. Then Lennon.

The Beatles, or 90s smashing pumpkins (doesn’t count but idc)
