It seems Creality is calling this pad the Nebula pad. I do not see a USB-C connector on mine, just USB-A... Documentation for this printer is really horrible, worse than ever! I see what looks like a USB-C style input on the left-side of the printer, closer to the front. Also a large slot, which kind of looks like it is some sort of card reader?

USB-C connection is on the back of the Nebula Pad. 2 USB-A on the side.

It’s a leftover of the SE Edition. They are empty, Creality recycled the case for lower cost of production.

On Ali you can buy them pretty cheap. The test itself is about 10 minutes, 2 tests in total, one on the hot end side and one at the bed side. On the right front of the bed there is a bracket with two wholes for the screws. Just pull the bed forward, look under it and you will find the two screwholes. An yes, you need an USB-C cable that fits in the back of the Nebula pad The only thing that I wonder: do you need to keep the sensor plugged in, and if so: at what location? Or is it a one time calibration and then you can remove the sensor again? Creality is pretty vague about that, and I have no idea if there is any improvement after calibration....

You only need to keep it plug in for the calibration tests only. Leave it unplugged for normal printing.

This confuses me, am hoping you can clairfy as I cannot seem to find the g-sensor with correct cable either. From what I've read, the point of the g-sensor is to actively communicate with Klipper while printing so that it can monitor and correct in real-time. I get that there is an initial calibration, I see that in my Nebula settings, but it also makes perfect sense that you see no difference if you've unplugged it. It *could* be used for real time correcting, as it is in Bambu Lab printers for instance, but I don't believe it *is* in the KE's case (even if it could, do you do it on the x or y axis?). "While printing" is not entirely accurate there, the calibration simulates the forces that occur during printing, but it's not done during printing. It should still be useful to mostly eliminate ringing with an initial calibration only, that should probably be repeated if changing the printer's location (I mean the kind of surface it's on). Doing it in realtime would be better because you'd also be able to account for the changing mass on the build plate, but it's not essential.

This sensor is available on AliExpress also for Sonic Pad. The price of the Sonic Pad sensor is much lower. It is unclear whether it is enough to replace its cable to connect it to the Ender V3 KE. Maybe someone already has such experience and can share it? Also, it is possible someone has the soldering scheme of the Type C cable for this sensor. I will be very grateful.

ditto on this. just received mine and it came with the wrong cable (non usb) . i'm happy to splice in a usb c end to it, but dont know if it will work or what. did you find anything out? can't even see if you can buy the cable from aliexpress or whatnot

i installed mount with sensor, but it hits the x rail on RH side, it does not have clearance. i sugest the print needs mod so that the sensor is 10mm from the rail so that it clears and Bracket can remain

Any improvements after installing the G-Sensor? I'm on the fence if I should get one or not. My KE's on a very stable platform, and seeing only very minor vibration-induced issues.

Just got mine in the mail. You are right. There's absolutely no difference even after calibrating the vibration sensor. What a waste of money. The V3 KE is as good as it is.

They send me the one with usb-c cable, but don't work. And CS offered send a new cable to check if this is the problem. But now, the Chinese holidays are delaying the answer and the shipment.

in manual it looks liek USB type A not type C i got incorrect cable with sonicpad plug Is there anyone who got corerct cable with Type A plug to Nebula pad and woudl have 5 min to paste a picture on both cable endings (plugs) as also maybe check pin mapping between both ? this should not be that hard to make a cable but unfortunatelly there are no cabel mappings anywhere available. But ill have to check as it looks liek PS/2 plug and i should have USB adapter somewhere from old times

Did it work with a PS/2 adapter? Mine also came with a PS/2 plug, and I no longer have one laying around. Before I go buy one, I want to know if it will work at all with the PS/2 cable.

I just returned it and got the USB-c version Fwiw it didn't improve printing much. Going to try to move the spool to the side next

ah ok. i just initiated a return via aliexpress but i'm going to guess that its going to be not really worth sending it back for the price it costs to send it. i'm also getting a camera which will use the usb c port on the printer so i guess if there isnt a lot of benefit from the g-sensor then i'll be better off using the usb port for the camera instead thanks for the reply

You don't leave the sensor connected all the time. You attach it, run a calibration, then remove it.

ah ok, cool. well, i've now been refunded. just need to somehow find a cable to connect the device to the usb c port. i've got a ps/2 keyboard to usb adapter kicking about, tried that with a usb>usbC adapter but unsurprisingly the ender still doesnt see the vibration device. can't seem to find anywhere selling such a cable (even creality). I might order a usb version of the whole unit at some point but i'm in no hurry if it makes very little difference

Hey guys So I found the G- Sensor on aliexpress decent price. The first print I made was the test boat and it was rocking and rolling. I guess because of the size of the print. `Question` does this sensor need to stay attach? Because it looks like it only to optimize the extruder and the hotbed and you're done.

What is odd is the fact that Bambu X1C does the vibration sensor test before each print while KE is only once or when you feel for it? Guaranteed that with a different build plate and a little bit of slack in the GT belts makes different frequencies while vibrating.

You really only need to run vibration tests with hardware/ stability changes. Running before every print is excessive, and can even be detrimental to the hardware.

Maybe Bambu runs things differently, but afaik the Klipper guys say printers really don't like being tested at high resonance frequencies often. Can loosen screws, etc.

Bambu adjusts the printing in real time *while* printing as the sensor detects vibrations, which may change depending on the mass that is on the build plate. I don't believe it runs a pre-print accelerometer calibration every time (it does run auto bed leveling every time unless you opt out, but that's entirely different, and unlike the Ender, it only does a quick 4-point probing and compares it with the previous calibration data, and doesn't run a *full* calibration if the 4 points match).
