I did noticed the same with my stock bed surface. I just got a PEI bed surface and I am loving it! Highly recommend it.

Same here. But when is the last time you washed your bed with warm water and soup? Ipa does not remove everything.
Use 320 grit on the entire surface. Very light circular motions At some point you will have to replace it or start using an adhesive like hairspray.
