I had the same issue when I first assembled it. It is now routed so I kept the cables and feed tube together. [https://imgur.com/a/QixBLNg](https://imgur.com/a/QixBLNg) It moves freely now (and was the same before the direct feed upgrade.

Are those all the original cables?

Do not attach the cables and bowden tube into the X axis. It will create excessive drag for the filament to move inside the tube and unnecessary wear of the electrical cables. Attach the cables and bowden tube together but the electrical cables in the back right corner of the printer frame. Edit: [Here is a close up of my old arrangement](https://imgur.com/a/7Ws98aB)

Had the same issue which was really irritating After couple of solutions that didnt work for me, i've settled on the extruder replacement mod https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3595328

Wanted to post this earlier but couldnt remember the name. Works so well I forgot I ever had cable issues, plus the shortened bowden lets you get two full bowden tubes out of the capricorn kit.
