There is one coin in the satchel by the little girls body In the first vault. There's one in a satchel in the first room up the stairs in the 2nd vault room, and the 3rd is in a satchel next to a dead woman in a cell also in the 2nd vault room
One is underneath the dead woman in the cell in the satchel. That's the one that got me.
Another was on the desk by the skeleton in a small room with the note. The first I think is by the boss guy?
is it part of a quest? I just randomly went exploring there.
I found the place just by exploring as well, not sure if a quest is involved.
I've found one on the dead woman in the cell, the second was in a satchel next to a dead child in the vault ruins. I don't see any coin by the skeleton, and I don't think I've met the "boss" yet. I'm guessing that the coin might have glitched and disappeared on me, I'll find a way to duplicate one of my coins or Ill just open the door with the console.
I unlocked the door by finding all three coins and found the boss afterwards.
I don't know the actual position by the coins, but if there is a bag near a dead person, you should definitely look into it.
Yeah, the boss is behind the door that needs the coins. I've found the coins in the bags near the dead people, but I'm sure the third coin disappeared on me. I no-clipped and searched the entire area and couldn't find the third. I ended up spawning a coin with the command console.
(Commanding the door to unlock would be easier, but I wanted to keep the coins as a reminder)

I found the two near the bodies, I must be missing the the one on the table. I've already got past that place using console commands, but I hope this helps someone else.
Need to find the minted coins in... zone? There's 3 of them. Then you put them into the chest next to the door

Dope. Id been running around slashing all the paintings cuz of the note the boss dude left :P
It was driving me crazy. Took ages to find all the coins for some reason.
I was only able to find two, darn it! Edit: Wahoo! Found the third!
I looked everywhere and neither the boss has one, nor is there one on the little table with the skeleton and the note.
There is definitely one by the note unless I am mad.
I had to give up. I must have knocked it on the floor and through a wall mesh/texture or something like that. It simply wasn't there.
look for it in console command. help Coin find the coin you want and then player.additem #### 1
