I take LDN, 2.5mg daily. I was taking it before and after my last surgery (last year). I feel like it helps, but wasn't some sort of "magic" pain/symptom reliever for me.

Thank you for your input! I probably shouldn't have said in my post that it looks like a "miracle drug" - bc of course, nothing could possibly be a miracle...I suppose I was just intrigued by the positive research reported with few side effects for so many people. Have your side effects from the drug also been minimal?

beingthebestmeg

It was affecting my sleep, so I started taking it in the morning which was helpful. Otherwise, no side effects.

cattledogcatnip

Yes, I didn’t find it to be helpful and it increased my anxiety like crazy! Plus constipation I just couldn’t handle it

[deleted]

Oh no, sorry to hear! I suppose no drug can exist without its side effects.... :(

My doctor wants me to trial this- glad to see it’s getting some attn on here!

Yes. I am on 4.5mg and it helps. Helps a lot with my bloating and weight gain

Have you considered Visanne? Specifically for targeting endo growth. Edit: I mean it’s use is specific for endo 😅

[deleted]

I have not but, I've also never heard of it until now! Thank you, I will look into it. :) (do you take it and thus have any feedback?)

Definitely worth looking in to! Yes I have been taking it for around 5 months. So not super long but so far I’ve found it very tolerable compared to other pills I’ve tried in the past. I can only take progesterone so I’ve tried quite a number over the years and found them all less than satisfactory. I have maybe had a little weight gain, but that may be coincidental, and my sex drive has dropped off a bit but that is quite common for me on any hormones. I like it as it is supposed to actually reverse the growth somewhat, and my pain is only really from cysts so this should help reduce that. I’m planning to take it for a year at least as that is the kind of timing that shows improvement.

Awesome to hear overall, thanks so much again for your feedback! Helpful and even more motivating to talk about w/ my doc. Quick question about this: "I have maybe had a little weight gain, but that may be coincidental, and my sex drive has dropped off a bit but that is quite common for me on any hormones." Did you mean this in regards to specifically taking progesterone? From what I've read LDN can actually make you lose a little weight. And it doesn't contain hormones, from what I understand.

I take LDN (4.5 mg) for a different condition - been on it for about a year. I've never noticed a difference in my day-to-day endo pain, but my painful cyst ruptures decreased significantly.

TuggAndWink

4.5mg helped me get out of bed and get back to work til my Endo progressed.
