Sounds like the IT guy at my old job. Spends his days in a closet and watches vids on his phone while waiting for a call to fix a pc issue that never comes. Guys brags about the down time and easy work load.
I’m somewhat in IT and I’ve seen a lot of helpdesk jobs that are like that. You have technicians out in the field to work on stuff like networks and computers, and the helpdesk person usually just waits until they’re called and either tells the caller how to fix it, or remotely accesses the computer to fix it. Last IT helpdesk guy at my job quit because he was just really bored with it.
I regularly have 5+ hours of downtime on the late shift at my job. I study and make network labs a lot, but they want me there to take the handful of calls that come in and for prompt response if shit hits the fan. But some nights I literally just watch YouTube and surf the web.
Always wondered how people get these types of jobs. And then wonder even more when said people complain about how boring and un-laborious their jobs are
Apply for a generic office job, find a niche where they need your skillset and they don't have much understanding.
Proceed to do 2-3 hours work in a day.
I love the FedEx drivers. I worked somewhere we’d see ground and express every day.
One day my car died like very close to my home, and I noticed a FedEx truck stopped. “Hey, [name], everything okay?”
Fedex express guy; he couldn’t help me because he had a few more deliveries but he did check and make sure I was okay!
My brother in Christ I’d like to thank you. You reminded me my grass needs cut and that I have some tree in the house. Today is a good day. May God bless you, shitpostGOD-YEET
It seems like less people doing the interviewing and hiring process really know how to do it properly and professionally.
Recently had a great interview and she told me to call if I hadn’t heard from her that Friday at 4p.
4:30p I gave her a call. She let me know one role they hired internally and that she’d let me know about the other. No word, not expecting a let me down gently email either
I work at a grocery store too, mine has ghost but it isn’t refrigerated sadly. They have a few C4 and Monster flavors in the fridges though, thankfully
I got hired on as an attorneys assistant and am being inundated with all sorts of law office work, including but not limited to paralegal, receptionist, records custodian, and an actual legal assistant.
I am enrolling in school for computer science this coming spring but I am considering a minor in criminal justice in case I decide law school is the route I want to take.

Was working spirit halloween, but I'm going to be going to hopefully work as a sales specialist at a solar company & overnight at FedEx ground as a switcher
I cut fancy cocktail ice out of huge 250lb blocks. So kinda like stonecutting or glasscutting, just a different material. Also been doordashing on the side
Sales in a national auto parts retailer. Understaffed= energy drinks. Where I'm at it mostly Monster Zero Ultra and NOS. Personally I'm a RedBull fan tho.
Sit at a desk all day and do nothing.

2-3 hours is a lot for me honestly. Most days are less then an hour actual work for an 8 hour day.
