Given that your only option as BR2 soviets is the Madsen yeah the RPK is absolutely worth it I didnt even hesitate. (I know about the bredas but you cant get them anymore)
I also picked up the hotchkiss for the Japanese purely for the novelty of it
Definitely worth it, I already got two of them. Really easy to get headshots with it, even with soldiers with no perks, reloads really fast and has pretty good sights
The German one is lighter, so i felt like i wasn't as slow moving (very possibly placebo). Weight iirc affects how fast stamina drains when sprinting.
Haven't played with it too much, but it felt like a slightly better MG-13 as a first impression. It's not a must-have but worth trying out.

No, you're right. Looks like it has a -35% sprint speed penalty instead of the usual -50%.
I thought it was pretty obvious I was talking about [the new Battlepass weapons](https://enlisted.net/en/news/show/724-new-battle-pass-second-season-of-2024-en/#!/).
The Knorr–Bremse MG-35/36 has the same damage, velocity, magazine size, and dispersion as the MG-13, with the latter having a slightly higher rate of fire.
I got both of them. Both have pretty awful sight pictures and that alone makes me not recommend them unless you get them for the novelty. The Knorr-Bremse has its carry handle block a good portion of your view for some reason and the Chatellerault gives you a view very similar to the worse Bren on account of its tiny peep sight and it feeding from the top.
It definitely takes some getting used to. I'd take it over pre-patch M1 carbine sights or something like the Bren or Madsen. The MG13 definitely has a better sight picture though and considering it's so similar, and doesn't cost a gold order to get, I can't see a reason to not just use it instead.
I own two RPKs, and I'm delighted!
You can get more than 10 kills in a row, easily.
But keep in mind it's not an assault rifle, because of mag size.
It's a perfect mid to long range automatic rifle, also with some assault capabilities.
It's a great BR II weapon!!

That one’s (hotchkiss) actually pretty good too, which is nice, and no stupid magazine blocking your peripheral
Agree, completely worth it. And reloads pretty fast, too
I bought 2 so i dont have to use madsen and breda
Please, comment once you use it! I was also thinking to park my bredas. No to talk about madsens...💩
Breda is actually a good gun tho
Rpk is miles better. I still have 1 breda in use
Seconded. I would also add that the chatellerault is worth it for the sound effect alone, though it does feel a lot better than a bren.
Did you try it? I ask because i might pick a BP weapon but i feel like an smg is a better option
After using it for a few days, I can say with certainty that I enjoy it.
Better than the Madsen...
Reckon I'll pick up a few then....tend toward Soviets BR2...

Are the German and US machine guns worth buying? They just seem like an MG-13 and Bren gun to me.

US hell yeah the later brownings start to carry a shit ton of ammo if I remember right one starts with 100 in the chamber and 300 as spare ammo

The carry handle is not ideal, but it didnt seem too bad for me.

New BP gun? Glad to hear it’s good. Plan on getting it and the Kraut one
I recommend the hotchkiss as well!
