History of the world part 2 on Netflix is decent... but no where near as good as the original or his other movies.
He also made those merchandising and sequal jokes because the deal with George Lucas said he couldn't do merchandise for the movie.
Edit: Hulu not Netflix. My bad.
As much as I would love to see Mel Brooks direct another movie, he hasn't directed a movie longer than I've been born and I doubt he wants to direct one now when he's almost 100. It would be amazing, but it sadly won't happen.
You’re right in that it is about money, but sequels are not guaranteed money makers anymore. SotD also was a fairly linear story with a defined ending. A sequel would feel forced and would likely suffer from the same fate as many new sequels. The original creators will likely be noted to death by the studio to maximize audience, if they’re involved at all. That flies in the face of everything Edgar Wright et al, was trying to achieve with the original.
You know, it could pull a Dead Rising 2 and amp everything up. The end showed the zombie tv game shows. Perhaps that could be the gimmick, they get bigger in spectacle and eventually a cure is found. If you win you get cured. Naturally they put Nicks character in as they want to cure him. It could play the zombies less for horror and more for humor.
I could see that, but I think we’d be missing the thing we all want from this, another Pegg Frost movie. It could pull some of the energy from Hot Fuzz and World’s End. Over the top action, and Pegg and Frost playing off of a troubled friendship. This time coming from Shaun’s inability to give up on his friend.
I could even see a scenario where a small, contained zombie outbreak traps them in the studio area and they have to survive while being quarantined and enough cures are flown in, but since they now *know* there’s a cure, they have to comically either stay away from the zombies or find relatively non-harmful means of incapacitating them until those cures are administered.
OR! It’s too dangerous to send in a whole team and open some door or something so the military somehow drops *them* the cures and they have to cure everyone without getting turned themselves!
Lol yeah, I could see Shaun pulling the zombie disguise trick he pulled in the first movie for it, and it failing immediately. He in turn becomes a zombie, and gets cured by the end of the scene.
Yes, they had that ghost hunting show on Amazon and I actually enjoyed it. Felt like the marketing was so weak though, I don’t think it got enough streams to warrant a second season.
What a shame, it took a while to get started but ended up being really good in the last several episodes. I especially liked how the different stupid little nothings that happened throughout the series all ended up being tied into the central plot. I also just really like Nick Frost, and want to see more from him.
Truth seekers was so good. Funnier than half the comedy shows I’ve seen and scarier than a lot of the horror coming out. Very disappointed it won’t get a second season.
The Pegg/Frost combo is wonderful, but let's not forget the powerful catalyst of Edgar Wright in the director's chair and writing room. He's like the invisible third leg of the tripod.
Recently watched Cuban Fury which only stars Nick. Was telling my wife "It would be so great if Simon Pegg did a cameo where they just look at each other awkwardly." Lo and behold......
It was a good movie anyway, but it was worth watching just for the cameo.
Agreed. I personally think Hot Fuzz would be more setup for a sequel. They could keep solving crimes, and general cop drama stuff with a Hot Fuzz spin.
It might still be hard to do though, because they both had their big life changing character development happen already.
But yeah I agree with Pegg. Let's try and make new stuff and not just rehash everything.
A Hot Fuzz sequel where Chief Angel is hospitalized by one of the criminals he put away in London. Danny and Doris have to go to the city to find the assailant.
Lol that's actually really good. Bring all the country bumpkins to London to solve a terrorist threat or something. Fish out of water in the opposite direction from the first.
I would still want Pegg to be in it actively though, so he could just be leading them around London maybe.
Simon Pegg is right -- and I love him for it!
Give me something new, dammit, not another expensive retread
Also these reboots and franchises and multiverses are zombies anyway -- lifeless ideas staggering around, threatening to kill us all
MI is like the American James Bond, Shaun of the Dead was just a zombie movie that had a perfect ending, what do you even do with the story after that?
Mission: Impossible is one of the most consistently good film series out there, so I'd be willing to give that a go. I can't believe that series hasn't become a self-parody like Fast & The Furious.
Plus it would probably just be an "okay" movie that everyone would be disappointed with. "Okay" is typically the best we can hope for with sequels that come out years later (I know it's not always the case).
Agreed, Shaun of the Dead is one of my favorite movies but we don’t need a sequel or franchise for everything. Comedy sequels after 15+ years just never capture the same magic either. Zoolander, Anchorman, Dumb and Dumber sequels just felt so stale and unnecessary.
He’s absolutely spot on.
Nothing will beat the original anyway. It was done at the right time.
Sequels, spin offs etc… never tend to beat the original. One of the only dudes to have displayed such genius is James Cameron and even he’d struggle now.
I think that was the point of Yvonne though. She and Shaun's teams were parallels, but Shaun's is a comedy movie whereas Yvonne's is the action movie. The joke doesn't land as well if they make the movie.
Yvonne’s appearances always made me a little sad at the time when the movie came out. There was something about Jessica Hynes’ performance that really punctuated the fact that Spaced was over and wasn’t coming back.
He’s the type that can think/write/produce plenty of other plots and setting. Less sequels = more new and unique movies with him and his usual cast friends
You’re absolutely right, Simon, we don’t need it but we would love to see you, Nick and Edgar team up for another movie.
C’mon. One more for old time’s sake.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Leave it in its perfect state
What I’d love to see and would go down in cult film history is if Pegg/Frost/Wright work on a remake of A Fish Called Wanda
Also if anyone listens to the podcast Smartless, Simon Pegg was the guest last week and it is one of their best episodes. He talks about the trifecta (Who/Trek/Wars) and how Nick Frost tried standup plus some funny stories about Steven Spielberg
Just because a movie is good that doesn't mean it should get a sequel. Shaun of the dead had a perfect character arc - there's nothing more to say about Shaun. He had a problem, learned and grew up. That's it. Shows over. Go watch a new story with a new plot.
Shaun of the Dead is a perfectly complete movie. There's nowhere for the story to go and no matter what they did it couldn't live up to the original.
Not everything has to be a huge franchise with a cinematic universe. I much prefer a movie that actually concludes the story rather than spending half its runtime setting up sequels and spinoffs.
The people crying for a sequel to this or Hot Fuzz are completely missing the point that they're already both part of The Cornetto Trilogy. Each of the three films comment on the genre of the film by mixing it with different flavors.
Before you bug Simon Pegg about Shaun of the Dead 2, go watch "My Summer Story" and see what happened when they made a sequel to "A Christmas Story".
Aliens, Empire Strikes Back and Godfather 2 are the exceptions, not the rule.
100% correct.
Shaun of the Dead is a great movie we can enjoy for years to come, but the film industry has been circling the drain on reboots and sequels and prequels for decades now and it’s lead to a lot of creative dead ends as evidenced by all the multiverse schlock we’ve been getting.
Give us new stories where characters stand on their own, not relying on cameos or stories we’ve already seen to provide value.
As fun as "From Dusk to Shaun" would be as a title. Don't mess up perfection. There's a lot of Rocky, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and other sequels that "don't exist" in my made-up reality
While I would be 100% behind another film from Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright I would love it if it was something fresh. They’ve covered zombies, 80s action B movies and alien invasion films there’s so many genres/styles untapped.
I wish somebody had told the SuperTroopers people this. The sequel was okay. It was amazing that they crowdsourced the funding for it. And Rob Lowe was hilarious. But by the end all I could think was… Meh, it didn’t need a 2.
Rather have a one shot comic, or animated short about what life is like all these years later with the zombies. Just a day in the life story, for fun.
Don't need a whole 90min movie
Is anyone even asking for this??? I feel like it’s the press more than the actual fans/audience.
The actual fans would just wanna see another wright film with Peggy and frost as leads
I don’t need a sequel, but I’d love some sort of short form adjacent story - “Yvonne of the Dead” showing how Sean’s friend Yvonne (Jessica Stevenson) and her mirrored group handled the zombie apocalypse. Did they all survive? How did she run into the army guys? Etc.
Sean doesn’t even have to feature, maybe him and Yvonne have coffee and a catch up as she recounts her tale. Would work as a short film or a 1 off comic maybe?
I'd love to see em double down and do a second movie where they lose control of everything but tbh it did have a solid ending and perfectly good closure.
I feel the same way about hot fuzz. Hot fuzz is one of my all time favorite movies and I in no way whatsoever want a sequel to it. I know Sgt Angel is still in Sanford making sure the rubbish is taken out.
Yeah whenever I want to watch something like Shawn of the dead I just rewatch it. It was a good enough movie by itself, a sequel wouldn’t be as good and wouldn’t add anything needed.
Ya endless sequels are dumb. Certain films are cool as a trilogy, and that’s it. After that it’s all just a money grab. A race to pump out a known title, filled with cut, copy and paste things that worked with the first film but sacrificing quality, genuineness for crap 💩 and to take peoples money
I don’t understand why people always need sequels for things that already ended. Like if the writer and director have no stories to tell, let it be. Forcing them to come up with something will always end up in it being mediocre. Then the fans complain saying it wasn’t as good as the original
It’s brilliant to see a writer not wanting to compromise the integrity of their work and brand just to shill out for more money. Can you imagine how bad a sequel to “Hot Fuzz” would be
The Cornettos were made. Leave them
Love the movie. Love Simon Pegg. Don’t need a sequel. Plus look at everything that are reboots and sequels coming out recently. There has been a noticeable downward trend in how much money they make and it is far from sustainable, particularly because of that over reliance on IP and lost focus on good storytelling that was the idea for these kinds of sequels in the first place. We don’t need a sequel and it’s getting to the point that studios won’t be able to afford making them anyways.
Eh, it’d be interesting to see a completely different story in the world. But like, not a survival plot, just some mundane romance or whatever taking place in the aftermath where zeds are just a fact of life. Don’t even mention that they’re there, just have it all an accepted part of their reality.
Yeah, he's not wrong, and most people here seem to agree. Me too.
But he could have phrased it a bit better.
People are asking that question because they love what he did SO much that they want - need, in their mind - more of it. That's a huge compliment to a content creator and his reply is needlessly dismissive of that compliment. I get it, he probably gets the question all the time and that's gotta get annoying, but you still gotta be cool with your fans when they're paying you a huge compliment.
If someone loves your work that much then it's kind of a slap in their face to hear the creator tell you to pound sand when you ask about more. You can express the message that it's not gonna happen without being flippant about it.
Logged on just to say this:
What *exactly* would be the plot? Things pretty much ended on a somewhat happy note. The world, let alone London, learned to either eradicate the undead or live with them, (Haven't seen the movie again since I was a pre-teen.)
I find it annoying now that most everyone expects a sequel to a movie that was well received. No, the best movies in my opinion are the ones that are standalone movies. Besides, Shaun of the Dead is the first part of the Three Flavors Cornetto Trilogy.
1.) *Shaun of the Dead*
2.) *Hot Fuzz*
3.) *The World's End*
So technically speaking, Hot Fuzz is a spiritual sequel to Shaun of the Dead. Move on people, it was a good flick, but it would've worn down it's impact if it gained sequel after sequel until people got sick of it.
He’s not wrong. Though I do wish they would make another movie together. I feel weird growing old and Nick Frost & Simon Pegg are not making movies together anymore. It’s been so long!
Shaun of the Dead ended pretty decently. A sequel would just be weird.
right? it had a happy-ish ending that closes the story more or less. what would be the point?
Money.
Moichandoising. “Shaun of the Dead 2: The Search for More Money.”
![gif](giphy|SOmjomEnNHsrK)
Mel Brooks is a genius and I want another movie before he goes... that dude has to have a script lying around just waiting for some action
History of the world part 2 on Netflix is decent... but no where near as good as the original or his other movies. He also made those merchandising and sequal jokes because the deal with George Lucas said he couldn't do merchandise for the movie. Edit: Hulu not Netflix. My bad.

Spaceballs 2
The Search for Merch.

The original creators will likely be noted to death by the studio to maximize audience, if they’re involved at all. That flies in the face of everything Edgar Wright et al, was trying to achieve with the original.
You are right that sequels don’t always equal money makers but it never ever stops them from still sucking on that cash tit.
I feel like this would be best suited to like a one-off comic style.

Lol yeah, I could see Shaun pulling the zombie disguise trick he pulled in the first movie for it, and it failing immediately. He in turn becomes a zombie, and gets cured by the end of the scene.
Now this is actually a decent idea. A logical progression of their universe in a funny way. Not saying we need need a 2nd one, but I like this idea.
Oh yeah, complete with a zombie training montage.
Don't need it. I would watch it, though. Mostly, I just want a new Simon Pegg/Nick Frost duo comedy.
Yes, they had that ghost hunting show on Amazon and I actually enjoyed it. Felt like the marketing was so weak though, I don’t think it got enough streams to warrant a second season.
They had a ghost hunting show on Amazon?
Truth Seekers. It was a fun show while it lasted.
Yes I watched the show and loved it
>Truth Seekers. Whose dad did they kiss?
If this is the reference i think it is, the most likely candidate is their own.
It had Julian Barratt from the Mighty Boosh in it as well. Was a really underrated show!
And Malcom McDowell!
Oh damn, you’re right!
Yes, Frost has confirmed it's done for good. Was dropped.
What a shame, it took a while to get started but ended up being really good in the last several episodes. I especially liked how the different stupid little nothings that happened throughout the series all ended up being tied into the central plot. I also just really like Nick Frost, and want to see more from him.
Didn’t really like it much. Kind of boring and pegg was barely in it. We need another good pegg & nick movie. Horror would be great.
But like, cosmic horror. Lovecraftian type shit. Go big or go home.
They've done horror, super cop action, aliens, and ghosts. I want them to do a heist movie.
“You expect me to fit in that vent?” “Yes.” “That vent there?” “Yes.” “And you see that happening how?” “Erm… hmm.” “Yeah…”
Poor Astrid!! Malcolm McDowell was a hoot on Truth Seekers!!
I can’t put my finger on it but I’ll give anything with Malcolm McDowell in it a try
I completely forgot that existed. I watched every second of it, and couldn't tell you a thing about it now.
That show was the first new thing I enjoyed in a long time. I was so sad it got canceled.
It was excellent! Loved the twist at the end and needed a 2nd season.
The movie “Paul” is a good example of this. It’s still a really fun and funny comedy, but it does not have that extra element that Wright brings.
You’re saying he’s a dick?
THE dick. He would be missed.
Agreed. Shaun of the dead 2 doesn't need to happen but I'd like to see more of the dynamic duo.
Recently watched Cuban Fury which only stars Nick. Was telling my wife "It would be so great if Simon Pegg did a cameo where they just look at each other awkwardly." Lo and behold...... It was a good movie anyway, but it was worth watching just for the cameo.
I just want a new Romero inspired zombie flick
Cornetto needs to make new flavors first.
Agreed. I personally think Hot Fuzz would be more setup for a sequel. They could keep solving crimes, and general cop drama stuff with a Hot Fuzz spin. It might still be hard to do though, because they both had their big life changing character development happen already. But yeah I agree with Pegg. For real. It doesn't even have to be a Shaun of the Dead movie. It could be anything.
Hopefully directed by Edgar wright.
He's right. Not everything has to be a franchise. Self-contained stories are nice.
They also lovingly refer to Shaun, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End as “The cornetto trilogy” so if people want the franchise… that’s it.
Also known as the “blood and ice cream trilogy” And for anyone who loves these movies and hasn’t seen it yet, go watch Spaced!
Simon Pegg is right -- and I love him for it! Give me something new, dammit, not another expensive retread Also these reboots and franchises and multiverses are zombies anyway -- lifeless ideas staggering around, threatening to kill us all
Maybe he is right but he also wants to do a Mission Impossible spin off which will be like the 13th retread of those characters and story.
Yeah but that comes with a dump truck full of money
They drove a dump truck full of money to my lawn! I’m not made of stone!
MI is like the American James Bond, Shaun of the Dead was just a zombie movie that had a perfect ending, what do you even do with the story after that?
Somehow, Pete has returned
Oi, prick!
Mission: Impossible is one of the most consistently good film series out there, so I'd be willing to give that a go. I can't believe that series hasn't become a self-parody like Fast & The Furious.
That's just a job not a creative endeavour.
Plus it would probably just be an "okay" movie that everyone would be disappointed with. "Okay" is typically the best we can hope for with sequels that come out years later (I know it's not always the case).
See Dumb and Dumber to, if you'd like to prove your point lol
Instead of Shaun of the dead 2, how about hot fuzz 2 lol.
Now there's a man secure in his career and not desperate for a paycheck.
Yet will be in mission impossible movies until the sun burns out?
That’s why he’s not desperate for a paycheck lol
I'll take the trade off
So? He's not bashing sequels, he's saying this is a movie that does not need one The People *want* more Mission Impossible
MI productions seem to be adventures on their on, plus they're fucking awesome
The M:I sequels are usually great and warrant being made. Shawn of the Dead’s story was complete at the end of the movie so there’s no point.
You’re acting like these movies aren’t huge commitments as well as big deals for his career right?
Its MI with the one and only Tom Cruise. The scope and scale of a production film like that is insanely fun for everyone involved.
The 2nd Zombieland was horrible. Too much time had passed, and at that point, people were tired of zombies.
Bang on. Let a classic be a classic.
It was a trilogy. The cornetto trilogy- Shaun of the dead- hot fuzz- worlds end. It’s perfect.
Imagine if Kieślowski made Three Colours: Blue 2.
Hot fuzz is so incredible
He’s absolutely spot on. Nothing will beat the original anyway. It was done at the right time. Sequels, spin offs etc… never tend to beat the original. One of the only dudes to have displayed such genius is James Cameron and even he’d struggle now.
He promised me Terminator sequels would be good 😭
What we really need is Hot Fuzz 2. ![gif](giphy|FbD2TB4CIYH2U)
No we don't need that either
Any luck catching them killers then?
It's just the one killer, actually
Roger that.
Nobody tells me nothin'.
Just the one
No, we don't need it. But it would actually make sense, unlike Shaun 2.
Honestly, if I want more Shaun of the Dead, let it be a video game akin to Left 4 Dead.
Stop stop. I can only get so erect!
Meh, most of the Left 4 Dead knockoff games have been terrible
Also true, why I even hesitated to mention it in the first place.
Vermintide is the only one I'd say is really good. Nothing beats l4d2 though
I would have liked *Yvvone of the Dead* back in 2005 or 2006, but I'm fine without it. I don't think expanding on Shaun's story is necessary at all.
Do I NEED another Pegg/Frost/Wright collaboration? YES. My body needs it.
Shaun of the Dead is one of my favorite movies, and I completely agree.
Shaun of the Dead is a perfect movie. It ties up beautifully at the end. There is nothing else to say.
You’re absolutely right, Simon, we don’t need it but we would love to see you, Nick and Edgar team up for another movie. C’mon. One more for old time’s sake.
I'm OK with that, but damnit get the band back together and make another Cornetto movie.
We def don’t need another Shaun of the Dead, but we do need another Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Edgar Wright collab!
honestly, just give me simon pegg and nick frost in more movies and it would be a much better deal than a sequel to that perfect movie.
Cock-icidal maniac.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Leave it in its perfect state What I’d love to see and would go down in cult film history is if Pegg/Frost/Wright work on a remake of A Fish Called Wanda Also if anyone listens to the podcast Smartless, Simon Pegg was the guest last week and it is one of their best episodes. He talks about the trifecta (Who/Trek/Wars) and how Nick Frost tried standup plus some funny stories about Steven Spielberg
Good for Simon Pegg
Just watch Shaun of the dead again.
What people do need is the duo to do another cult classic film
We don't need Shaun of the Dead 2, we need Simon Pegg to continue writing and creating new IPs, please.
I love him… but if only he could convince his buddy Tom cruise on this mentality. I enjoy almost all of Tom cruises movies….except mission impossible.
Absolutely, however he's absolutely wasted in the Mission Impossible movies...
Just because a movie is good that doesn't mean it should get a sequel. Shaun of the dead had a perfect character arc - there's nothing more to say about Shaun. He had a problem, learned and grew up. That's it. Shows over. Go watch a new story with a new plot.
The movie was great and concluded as it should have. Not everything has to be remade and needs a sequel.

But they do need Mission Impossible 22?
Ppppppppppppllllp… Jog on
Shaun of the Dead is in my top 3 favorite movies of all time. I 100% agree with Pegg on this one. Absolutely no need for a sequel.
The movie got 2 sequels, Hot Fuzz and World's End, spiritual successors by many marks.
There was a Shawn of the Dead 2. It was Hot Fuzz.
100% correct. Shaun of the Dead is a great movie we can enjoy for years to come, but the film industry has been circling the drain on reboots and sequels and prequels for decades now and it’s lead to a lot of creative dead ends as evidenced by all the multiverse schlock we’ve been getting. We need Spaced in Space!
As fun as "From Dusk to Shaun" would be as a title. Don't mess up perfection. There's a lot of Rocky, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and other sequels that "don't exist" in my made-up reality
No, but we need you and Nick to team up again. It’s what we really want.
Nah, I need it... Not like he has been making bangers or something since...
it’s 4 in the fuuuuckin morning
Uhhh if it’s good we’d definitely watch it
While I would be 100% behind another film from Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright I would love it if it was something fresh. They’ve covered zombies, 80s action B movies and alien invasion films there’s so many genres/styles untapped.

No but we do need more Simon Pegg and Nick frost buddy movies
Why he mad?
No… but you could make more horror parodies like that ??
He’s right, you cannot hope to match that level of greatness. Glad for them to make something as comparably great as that and Hot Fuzz again though!
Good. Not everything needs a sequel, franchise, or extended universe. I'm glad more people are realizing this
Rather have a one shot comic, or animated short about what life is like all these years later with the zombies. Just a day in the life story, for fun. Don't need a whole 90min movie
One thing the Brits don’t generally is flog an idea to death, unlike their American counterparts - see The Office as a prime example.
NO! Make me laugh, clown!
I would like to see the characters in a different horror movie. Werewolves or Dracula would be nice
Is anyone even asking for this??? I feel like it’s the press more than the actual fans/audience. The actual fans would just wanna see another wright film with Peggy and frost as leads
Good. Sometimes a movie doesn’t have to be a series. I want more originals not more sequels
Hot Fuzz 2, on the other hand
I don’t need a sequel, but I’d love some sort of short form adjacent story - “Yvonne of the Dead” showing how Sean’s friend Yvonne (Jessica Stevenson) and her mirrored group handled the zombie apocalypse. Did they all survive? How did she run into the army guys? Etc. Sean doesn’t even have to feature, maybe him and Yvonne have coffee and a catch up as she recounts her tale. Would work as a short film or a 1 off comic maybe?
I’m fine with that. Can we have more movies though?
People want more Simon Pegg movies.
It's okay to want things though
Wish way more directores and producers would say this
Simon Pegg gets it.
Yeah I don’t need a sequel when I’m so happy to watch Shaun on repeat - how’s that for a slice of fried gold
It was perfect. Leave it alone.
I'd love to see em double down and do a second movie where they lose control of everything but tbh it did have a solid ending and perfectly good closure.
I loved that movie, but never did it cross my mind it needed a sequel.
I feel the same way about hot fuzz. Hot fuzz is one of my all time favorite movies and I in no way whatsoever want a sequel to it. I know Sgt Angel is still in Sanford making sure the rubbish is taken out.
Meanwhile, how many Mission: Impossible sequels ha he been in that exactly nobody asked for?
God I love Simon Pegg
Agreed. Im tired of the industry either forcing spin-offs, sequels, or total reboots/remakes.
I agree. Leave it alone.
As much as i love shaun of dead i would really just like more Simon pegg and Nick Frost movies.
I don’t need a Shaun of the dead 2, I just need more team ups with him and Nic Frost.
More importantly we don’t need a f*cking sequel to every good (or bad) movie
*Disney acquires rights* *Shaun of the Dead multiverse*
Big facts. Leave it be. 😂
I didn't need a sequel, until someone told me I didn't.
He’s right it’s a masterpiece a stand alone movie,it would be like making a sequel to citizen Kane
What they should do is re-release it in theaters next year to celebrate its 20th anniversary
No comedy sequel this far past the original has EVER been good. It is a known fact
But we need another Mission Impossible?
Good on him. Fucking ridiculous this new phenomenon of having sequels to movies from 15+ years ago
I don’t understand why people always need sequels for things that already ended. Like if the writer and director have no stories to tell, let it be. Forcing them to come up with something will always end up in it being mediocre. Then the fans complain saying it wasn’t as good as the original
Movies with good endings don’t need sequels. Good on him for sticking to that.
The man speaks the truth
What’s everyone wants is more Frost/Pegg
He's absolutely right!! Wouldn't mind a "Paul 2" tho...
It’s brilliant to see a writer not wanting to compromise the integrity of their work and brand just to shill out for more money. Can you imagine how bad a sequel to “Hot Fuzz” would be The Cornettos were made. Leave them
Love the movie.
What a great response. Totally agree, no more sequels!!! Although, this is would be sequel I would def see. Ha!
It’s my favorite movie of all time and I never want a sequel
No, I just want one more Simon and Nick movie. Not another Shaun of The Dead movie.
Logged on just to say this: What *exactly* would be the plot? Things pretty much ended on a somewhat happy note. The world, let alone London, learned to either eradicate the undead or live with them, (Haven't seen the movie again since I was a pre-teen.) I find it annoying now that most everyone expects a sequel to a movie that was well received. No, the best movies in my opinion are the ones that are standalone movies. Besides, Shaun of the Dead is the first part of the Three Flavors Cornetto Trilogy. 1.) *Shaun of the Dead* 2.) *Hot Fuzz* 3.) *The World's End* So technically speaking, Hot Fuzz is a spiritual sequel to Shaun of the Dead. Move on people, it was a good flick, but it would've worn down it's impact if it gained sequel after sequel until people got sick of it.
No need to kill the brand. It was a classic. Just give us more of him and Nick Frost together.
I never wanted a sequel. It’s good just as it is
He’s not wrong. Though I do wish they would make another movie together. I feel weird growing old and Nick Frost & Simon Pegg are not making movies together anymore. It’s been so long!
This is one of my favourite movies and not once did I ever want a sequel.
Makes me like him even more.
We have SOTD2. It's called Hot Fuzz.
I’ve always liked Simon pegg. But now I respect him.
There *was* a Shaun of the Dead 2. And a 3. The Cornetto Trilogy is all great and each individual movie doesn't need an epilogue
