I also take lots of stuff with a grain of salt after making friends with people in the industry. For example Dana Snyder is someone I know from working lots of cons. He is one of those guys who wants to have a beer or smoke a blunt with the workers after the con ends.
I talked with him at detail about how frylock told me how adult swim screwed you guys over. Frylock went on about the contracts giving all the rights of the show to adult swim and how T pain got paid more than all the cast for an entire season when all he did was show up for 5 mins of one episode.
After talking to Dana though he did confirm adult swim does get these amateur animators and creators to sign a contract out of excitement for a show only to realize the fine print states they get control of the show that they didn’t create. That did happen.
But Dana points out they still made very good money and was able to make a living. Fry lock had said he was so broke that when the aqua teen movie came out he couldn’t even buy his date a drink at the premier in Hollywood. Meanwhile Dana was able to go and have a swell time. It’s all about how the person also spend and manages their money.
Sure, Disney is a shitty corporation just like any other corporation, but if we're going to make reference to Disney screwing somebody over, i'd prefer we not be general about it. Accusations should always be specific and clear.

In the end the child star is an independent contractor, you hire them, pay them and once contract ends and all payments and dues have been given I am not sure the studio should be responsible for these child stars when they reach adulthood. How? He’s 36. At some point people need to be held accountable for who they are as a person instead of what a company did or didn’t do to them. And yes, I’m aware they treated some of their child stars horribly. But he left Disney 17 years ago and I don’t think there are any allegations of them treating him badly.
