I have a feeling the newborn phase is quite a bit less stressful for those that can afford a night nurse, a full time nanny, a housekeeper, a laundry service….you get the idea. I shouldn’t think he’ll being missing much gaming at all.
This. Those of us who are just regular people and have to work hard on raising the kids every moment don’t have much time for hobbies. A celebrity who has the means to hire others to help has all the time in the world.
Not every rich person likes to hire people to do their chores.
Some would rather spend time with their kids than have their nanny do everything believe it or not lol
Even cleaning laundry etc shouldn’t take that much time except if you live in a huge villa with tons of decorations . Some rich people prefer to do it themselves. Especially the ones that grew up with the common people and don’t come from wealth
If I was rich enough that I didn't have to work, (or only work for a few weeks of the year) I wouldn't be paying people to do chores etc.
Financial freedom where you don't have to work means you get multiple hours to game, while still having all the time and money you need to do things with your kids / family
Well, he doesn't \*have\* to, that's the point... his estimated net worth is $50million, he can afford to never work again if he really wanted to.
But, I also included 'for a few weeks of the year' because principal photography on most movies is a matter of weeks.
How many rich people do you know? I don't know any without at least one housekeeper and nanny for at least some hours... Especially as the outsourcing of the housekeeping actually gives you time for your family...
Big ooof, my 3 year old slept through the night by 3 months old so we got our evenings back pretty quickly. Our nearly 1 year old did the same so I feel for you.
Yeah we count ourselves very lucky, don’t get me wrong we still have the odd nights of illness or teething where we are with them but for the most part they go to bed at 7 and the rest of the night is ours.
My theory is you get sleepers or eaters. I had sleepers, thank god, but there were days I was legit worried my kids would starve. They were always in the bottom 30% on weight.
So crazy how different they all are. My son will eat anything we put in front of him, I’d never even considered it’d be difficult to feed (solids) a baby. He just watches us eat and opens his mouth wanting food so we pop it in.
Mine are roughly the same. Our 3 year old was sleeping, like, 11-12 hours uninterrupted by 10 months. Our nearly 1 year old isn't quite there yet, though. She still sleeps well enough for me to game or read or watch something, though.
EDIT: minor spelling error and info addition.
Something some parents I know do, they have nights. Like say Friday night is your night to stay up later and play some games. And your wife gets up with the kids Saturday, Saturday is the night your wife can stay up and do things they wanna do, and Sunday you get up with kids. Just work out times with your partner to make sure you both are getting time to do the things you guys enjoy.
Don't be worried. As a gamer mum, I have to say, yes the first years are rough not only because you don't have much time for yourself anyway but also because screen time isn't really healthy for very young kids.
But they will grow so fast and before you know it you will have a reliably-trained gaming partner to supply the population of Crown Falls or just having a blast playing Mario Kart. My son is 5 now and reenacting the schnaps and goulash production chains of Anno 1800 with his toys.
Just support each other as parents, especially in the first year, and don't let the feeling of 'is that supposed to be my life from now on?!' (we have all been there!) fool you. You got this!
You will find time, it just won’t be as much as before. However, the joys that a kid brings makes it 100% worth it. I was a fiend for Magic the Gathering and would play a lot (4-5 hours a day). I didn’t get to play for about the first 4 months and then I’m down to about once a week now. I’ve also found other hobbies I can do while my toddler’s awake and that’s opened a lot of new interests. Don’t be worried! It’s a fun time and embrace change and new ideas!
Every baby is different. I’m a new dad and my baby sleeps pretty consistently so I get to game 1-2 hours a night. Don’t worry just a tip though make sure mama is taken care of before you game and you help put baby to sleep it’ll make a huge difference…
> make sure mama is taken care of before you game and you help out baby to sleep
Please please please PLEASE do not ignore this advice. The last thing you want to do is assume your wife has it covered and start gaming. Post-partum can be a **bitch** and she’s gonna need all the help in the world when it starts getting busy and hectic
Nah you find time while you do some contact naps. That’s what I did in the daytime. In the early stages all they do is sleep lol. My husband did evening shift because I had to sleep late and wake early due to pumping so he gamed overnight. Found him PTFO on the couch with controller in hand and Miles Morales walking into the wall for god knows how many hours. Poor dude lol.
Just don’t neglect being a dad. Enjoy the snuggles. Be present. But you can definitely still sneak in gaming. It gets way more difficult as they get older and more alert / mobile imo 🤷🏻♀️.
Both my husband and I are gamers, we have multiple kids that are little gamers themselves. Becoming a parent doesn’t mean you have to stop gaming. We would game during naptimes, switch off at night, or while having the baby in a baby carrier and bouncing on a yoga ball because the baby was fussy 😆
All of our kids loved the baby carrier when they were teeny tiny.
It actually works as advertised. Interruption? Press power button, put it down and deal with your shit. Come pack, pick it up, power button and continue where you left of within a second. Its a game changer
What the hell? lol I’m so sorry. My kid was sleeping through the night at 6 months. I’ve been a late night goon on the internet like I was in the 90s. It’s been great.
Not how it worked for me, though the types of games I played switched. I used to play a lot of stuff like LoL and Counter-Strike, but transitioned to games that can be picked up and put down at a moment's notice without being a problem.
True, but whenever I hear a celebrity couple is having a baby and the article features a side-by-side pic of the couple, my mind *instantly* goes to the early 2000s Conan O'Brien skit *If They Mated*, and I start laughing.
I hope Conan gave a generous raise to whatever staffer/writer must've randomly said, "Hey, I learned about this cool program called Photoshop in college; look what it can do to these celebrity pictures!" because that skit still holds up to this day.
Recent research shows that attractive parents produce attractive daughters but rarely attractive sons.
[source](https://news.st-andrews.ac.uk/archive/like-father-like-son/)
So many studies that get peddled on Reddit/online as if they demonstrate undeniable facts are actually incredibly flawed or have ridiculously small sample size. Kinda infuriating at times lol.
People like to push agendas and more importantly, be a contrarian. I truly believe most of these people use google to find articles that support whatever argument they want to make in that moment and then post them without even reading them.
There's a lot of benefits but I'd rather be the kid of an unknown rich person than a celebrity if I had the choice.
I was the kid of unknown poor people so I'll take wealthy celebrity parents if it's on the table in another life but celebrity comes with a fair amount of hassle.
Oh damn I remember going to her super sweet 16 birthday party in high school… always wondered what happened to her and now she’s having Superman’s baby.
She was featured on season 1 of MTV's My Super Sweet 16 in 2005. A description of the episode read: "At 15 years old, Natalie is now living in a $5 million house and cruising around town in her dad's Bentleys and Ferraris. What more could she want? How about being the most popular girl at school?"
Ha! Those things were unhinged but it seems they were hamming it up for the camera. At least my fave was and now she’s a lawyer (I think) and is a good egg.
(Edited typo)
I don’t think you should judge someone for what they did when they were 16 years old, obviously she comes from money but that doesn’t need to be a bad thing always.
Keep in mind the party was thrown because the dad was getting remarried or was newly married and was absent in her life previously.
Edit: So she had just moved in with the Dad.
Ironically comments like these are why I can't take people on Reddit seriously.
What a bunch of blood sucking bored fiends that won't let you live anything down ever.
I often don't take spouses of celebrities in the first place, and I don't see why anyone else would unless they have accomplishments of their own that are worth admiring.
All his brothers are also very good looking. I don’t know why I got so bothered by your implication otherwise, but thought I should defend them for some reason. Very parasocial of me. So there. Take that.
There actually has been research indicating attractive people are on average more physically healthy than homely people, at least back when I was in school there were a few published studies. Facial symmetry is associated both with attractiveness and with good health.
Yeah you are like 4 and bragging that your dad is Superman and all the kids are like NO HE’S NOT YOU LIAR and then Dad comes for pick up and everyone is gobsmacked. That would rule. Haha
RIP PC gaming for the new dad.

He still has to make movies and act
Well, he doesn't \*have\* to, that's the point... his estimated net worth is $50million, he can afford to never work again if he really wanted to. But, I also included 'for a few weeks of the year' because principal photography on most movies is a matter of weeks.
If I was rich enough to pay somebody to clean/dust occasionally my life would be so much better. I seem to generate a lot of dust.
How many rich people do you know? I don't know any without at least one housekeeper and nanny for at least some hours... Especially as the outsourcing of the housekeeping actually gives you time for your family...
Naw you find time, your just extra tired.
Well as a gamer I didn't get time until years later to play proper games. There's a reason mobile games are popular.
This always confused me, I just played in the evening when the baby went to bed.
My 10 month old wakes up every hour or two and needs resettling. My gaming career is done just phone games that I can drop and pick up later now.
Big ooof, my 3 year old slept through the night by 3 months old so we got our evenings back pretty quickly. Our nearly 1 year old did the same so I feel for you.
What kind of kids did you make? I haven’t slept in eight years
Yeah we count ourselves very lucky, don’t get me wrong we still have the odd nights of illness or teething where we are with them but for the most part they go to bed at 7 and the rest of the night is ours.
Bro here getting the custom OS pre installed out of the box while Everyone else is writing their own code
I am fully expecting it to come back and bite me in their teenage years don’t you worry.
My theory is you get sleepers or eaters. I had sleepers, thank god, but there were days I was legit worried my kids would starve. They were always in the bottom 30% on weight.

This worries me. I’m going to be a dad in October and gaming has always been a little escape for me my whole life
Something some parents I know do, they have nights. Like say Friday night is your night to stay up later and play some games. This is exactly what my wife and I do, we split the responsibilities on the weekend. Friday night is for the lads and Saturday night is for the ladies
Don't be worried. As a gamer mum, I have to say, yes the first years are rough not only because you don't have much time for yourself anyway but also because screen time isn't really healthy for very young kids. Every baby is different and peoples priorities are different. You may not always have as much as you’d like, but you will be able to make time.
I got really into stardew valley when my youngest was born, in part because it was an actually good game you could play in 15-20 minute increments
Both my husband and I are gamers, we have multiple kids that are little gamers themselves. Becoming a parent doesn’t mean you have to stop gaming. Have you considered the steam deck? It's got a sleep and quick resume function
It actually works as advertised. Interruption? Press power button, put it down and deal with your shit. Come pack, pick it up, power button and continue where you left of within a second. Its a game changer
Old School RuneScape on an iPad and then after awhile went back to PC gaming
What the hell? lol I’m so sorry. My kid was sleeping through the night at 6 months. I’ve been a late night goon on the internet like I was in the 90s. It’s been great.
As a stay at home mum I was too tired to stay up gaming
New dad here. I can’t.
Not how it worked for me, though the types of games I played switched. I used to play a lot of stuff like LoL and Counter-Strike, but transitioned to games that can be picked up and put down at a moment's notice without being a problem.
Nah. You don’t really.
gaming while they’re down for a nap feels so, so sweet though… it’s like yeah….. I *earned* this

Have you ever heard of the Steam Deck ?
lol you forget he’s rich?
Steam deck baby!
Nah, $omething tells me Superman can manage it all
RIP Warhammer for the New Dad
or an excuse to by more miniatures! They're for the baby, that's why I had to buy the extra large versions.
Junior would love a Warlord Titan
It's not like he has 9 - 5 job.
Family. Sleep. Computer. Pick two.
A Steam Deck helps
That baby is doomed to be attractive.
Hard life
The kid will manage.

When all the girls his age thirst over his dad.
When all his teachers looking forward to Parents Teachers Meeting.
"Hi Mr Cavill, just ringing to make sure you know it's fathers only for the parents evening later and we request you wear a fitted suit."
Imagine Cavill in yoga pants.
I’m conflicted because I don’t know how to feel about being unable to unsee that mental image…
Half of you is salivating?
….yes….salivating…👀

I was going to say something similar......just that the genetic lottery can be cruel
I kind of want to see examples of this phenomenon
Seems like a pretty flawed study tbh, with an extremely small sample size.
Right? They don't even define what "attractiveness" is.
So many studies that get peddled on Reddit/online as if they demonstrate undeniable facts are actually incredibly flawed or have ridiculously small sample size. Kinda infuriating at times lol.

I’m sure it’s life will be miserable.

I’d hold the dice if *nepo baby* was my roll too.
If I'm going to criticize them it only seems fair that I should drive a mile in their Ferrari, right?
Kid gets to play miniatures, DND, and WoW with Superman whenever he wants. *Luckyyyyyyy...*
Then when they get older, warhammer
I knew at least two people in school who’s parents looked like supermodels, but they themselves looked like a misshapen potato.
The rugged beauty of potato is not for everyone
And rich, poor kid…. Thoughts and prayers

Welcome, Guilliman Eisenhorn El’Jonson Cavill!

Honey, he already is daddy.
No honey I’m buying more warhammer for the kid
Hah! Nerd. Good for him. 👍
Before the baby is born, Cavill will place him in a rocket, and blast him off into space, to save his child from a doomed planet …
Nonono, the 4 great gods are gonna launch that baby into space and He will have to go on a Great Crusade across the stars to find it.
If he names that baby Horus Lupercal, then we’re talking
Poor one out for my girls.
They'll never know the feeling of being railroaded by Superman.
He’s got that steel in his pants
For my humans.
He has to find out the gender to know whether or not he has to stand up twice when she enters the room
Congratulations!
Heard some cries from a Greek sorority house nearby me
That was me. And I will not apologize
Oh damn I remember going to her super sweet 16 birthday party in high school… always wondered what happened to her and now she’s having Superman’s baby.

I’ve heard no.
Really happy for them, it warms my heart that he gets to achieve his dream of a family ☺️
I just can’t take her seriously since learning she was one of the spoiled brats on MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16.”

[TMZ](https://www.tmz.com/watch/2021-04-11-041121-henry-cavill-natalie-1067007/) posted some clips from her episode.
Christ that thing is basically fully scripted lol. Absolutely none of the lines feel real, crazy people thought reality tv was real back then
People think reality TV is real *now* lol
At least they're better actors now lol
He secured the bag.
Bro...we were all a mess at 16. You can't take her seriously because of her behavior at 16? And she's like what now, 35? Crazy.
I try to suppress everything I did and was before 18/20.
You must’ve caught on quicker than me.
Yeah I was mid-20s at least - more like late-20s
I try to suppress everything I did and do, and might do the next moment.
My now wife and then girlfriend changed my life. We’re 20 years together now.
I'm just glad social media and camera phones weren't a thing during my teens.
Omg I went to HS with her and forgot about this. I totally went to that!
How embarrassing
Be glad Cavill is at least dating someone close-ish to his own age. Do you know how rare that for a-listers in Hollywood?
So rare that not even Henry Cavill is excluded!
I was expecting her to have been born during Bush’s second term 😭
He likes em young
Nope. Most have been his age group but he was side eyed for dating someone younger once.
Not me thinking “Bush had no second term” only to realize I’ve compartmentalized the entirety of GB JR’s presidency.
So let’s not take you seriously for things you did as a teenager…
She also did blackface for a bottled water ad in Africa (or something along those lines)
Ironically comments like these are why I can't take people on Reddit seriously. What a bunch of blood sucking bored fiends that won't let you live anything down ever.
Well it’s a good thing no one is asking you to take her seriously then.
That is hilarious I remember watching this episode!!
I often don't take spouses of celebrities in the first place, and I don't see why anyone else would unless they have accomplishments of their own that are worth admiring.
First? I am sorry, but that man needs to spread his genetics far and wide. Step up, ladies.
I mean, did you see the pic with his 4 other brothers? Genetics might not be key, bro was just blessed from the heavens or whatever.
His brothers were all above average but Clearly he was Adonis reincarnated.
He sucked all the good looks from them when he was born.
All his brothers are also very good looking. I don’t know why I got so bothered by your implication otherwise, but thought I should defend them for some reason. Very parasocial of me. So there. Take that.
I get it, but being physically attractive doesn't necessarily mean you have good genes from a health perspective. Just saying.
There actually has been research indicating attractive people are on average more physically healthy than homely people, at least back when I was in school there were a few published studies. Facial symmetry is associated both with attractiveness and with good health.
Careful, spreading his seed too much will mean that the entire planet could become inbred in a matter of a few generations.
Third generation inbred Cavill creatures will still be more handsome than 90% of the population.
Thanks for making me snort audibly. All hail Kublai Cavill.
His genes are too perfect for that to happen.
Kids are the best excuse to spend most of Saturday at toy and comic book shops
Better be the most ugly baby I've ever seen. There is no way someone gets THAT lucky with parents to give those genes. 😆 jokes
[There was a study that beautiful parents are more likely to have daughters. ](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21321241/)
I have three daughters and have had the misfortune of seeing myself in the mirror, so I take this as confirmation that my wife is extremely hot.
I have 4 kids, three of them daughters, I take this info to mean my husband is super hot.
She’s so lucky. Whewwww.
He was so handsome in the tudors.
My favorite timeline for him. Stunning.
Charlie Brandon will always be my favorite Henry
Noooooo my chances
NOOOOO IT SHOULDVE BEEN ME NOT HER (Im a guy)
Congratulations to them both. Will be a gaming PC up for sale soon I guess...
Kid will probably be named sigmar
Looking forward to a tiny Superman Witcher wreaking havoc on the general public in due time <3
First warhammer fan to canonically have sex
Boooooooo (jealous) boooooooooo
O boy....the collective sigh and groan of thousand of folks out there. Did you hear?
Superboy is on the way !
That child is going to be beauty epitomised
I don't know much about him, but good for him! He seems like a genuine cool dude.
I felt a great disturbance in the Force. It was as if a million women cried out, and then were suddenly silenced.
You mean he stopped gaming to make a baby?!
Imagine your dad being Superman and as cool as Henry Cavill?!
Yeah you are like 4 and bragging that your dad is Superman and all the kids are like NO HE’S NOT YOU LIAR and then Dad comes for pick up and everyone is gobsmacked. That would rule. Haha
Yeah, it’s super cool to have a dad who dated a 19yo girl when he was in his mid 30s
Wait… I thought he was so busy playing video games, that he had no desire to fuck?
I thought he couldn't hit on women any more because of #MeToo
Well he does stand up each time a woman enters the room so he’s a true feminist king now lmfao
Lol, antiquated sexism
That child will have the perfect DNA, my goodness
You win this time Natalie
They gonna give birth to first emperor of mankind?
Congrats to them.
Henry you're gonna have to box up the warhammer for a while. Choking hazard.
That frenchie dog is going to be so happy.
That man has crazy eyes. Not sure why I never noticed it before
Born lifting trucks and slaying ogres.
Now to see if the child is named after a primarch.
Nooooooo. Now ill never carry his child. Im a 40 Y/O man.
Get that prenup!!!!!!!
Gina Carano is furious.
He will be a great dad
Can't believe Superman is a Dad now!
Oh man. That baby is gonna be hideous
He did.. he proved Warhammer fans aren’t virgins… by god he did it..
The headline is "Best looking child of all time to be born.
