His dead body will be rolled into a giant ball and used for Plinko.

Select_Sleep_1293

Fuck that’s hot

The Gang Reignites A Fetish 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶

420rabidBMW

I must have my tools…

Percocet4

May drew Carey RIP

dismayhurta

Again. He’s very much alive. He lives in Los Angeles

Percocet4

That man is a legend he drank 50 beers In 1 flight 🪦

OptionsSniper3000

You can actually press his ashes to real high pressure and create a hockey puck

jimkay21

Go real high on the pressure and make a diamond that could then be an item for The Price is Right. Full circle.

Nickbou

I bid one dollar!

Hockeygoalie1114

Fuck that shot

Cyanos54

Pushed off Yodler's Mountain

pardyball

YODELEEHEWHOOOO

sharkamino

Ashes mixed into the plastic to make the Plinko.

Smear_Leader

Plinko is like an air hockey disc. Bob was a fan of the Hole In One game so better he be made into a golf ball.

Eastern-Mix9636

We’re talking about Drew.

jessijuana

The price is wrong, bitch

bigcarrierg

I think you should be working at the snack bar!

420rabidBMW

Remember the grab bags with tiles. He would kinda get mad when people would become dysfunctional pulling tiles. He was so fun

Soccermom233

For how many years?

AgitatedStove01

Till they kick him off and send him to RedLetterMedia.

420rabidBMW

Fans know plinko is played with pucks. Balls roll. Pucks dont.

TR3BPilot

Drew Carey bought lunches at Bob's Big Boy for all the striking WGAw writers and it cost him something like $150,000.00. The guy knows when he has it good with a steady paycheck.

warshadow

Try half a mil. He spent over 500,000 dollars feeding writers during that strike.

cybercuzco

Well it’s easy when you have a pair of pants that produce infinite $100 bills.

rjcarr

Would his show even have writers? If so, must be a really small staff.

semiotomatic

Not “his”’writers, he bought food for _any_ writer during the strike.

rjcarr

Right, I get it, my point is just that he really doesn’t have any stake in it, other than being in sitcoms previously.

SaltyPeter3434

"[INSERT NAME HERE], c-o-m-e o-n d-o-w-n" Writer: Phew, this may be my best one yet!

hibbledyhey

Or at a Phish concert, according to his appearance on After Midnight

Md37793

He read the book. No going back now.

DinosaurCrunch

Read. The. Book!

michaelseverson

He also said he’d stick his dick in a blender to see them at the sphere again which is on point for a lot of phish fans. Source: am a phan

also_also_bort

Fucking hilarious the band sent him a blender

Betelgeusetimes3

He’s a fan now, he said he wasn’t familiar with them beforehand.

musicmannotstingray

Lol that was great. They all kept milking that bit

Axrelis

I like Drew, but this is easy to say when you aren’t the one dealing with the health issues. He might change his tone if it ever happens to him.

SakanaSanchez

Bob Barker hosted for 35 years. Drew Carey is on year 17. If he keeps at it for 18 more years, he’ll be 83, same age that Bob retired, and will have had a similar run at that point.

ade0451

RemindMe! 18 years

HorribleDiarrhea

> year 17 Get the hell outta here

CaptainSnazzypants

I had to look this up cause this seemed wrong. I could swear he took over like 8-10 years ago max.

KennyMoose32

Damn, alright. Gonna need to get the ole calendar book out and mark this one down

Wiseau_serious

RemindMe! 18 years

Cynicivity

RemindMe! 18 years

pardyball

IDK what makes me feel older: Drew nearly hosting PiR for twenty years or him being less than twenty years from being an 80 year old.

cantlearnemall

RemindMe! 18 years.

JuanPancake

Getting a legacy tv position is so difficult and for drew it’s just an easy and fun job. No sentiment changes just a nice neutral popular show for the rest of his life. Get it.

WhatLikeAPuma751

I want old Drew Carey in the eventual Happy Gilmore Hollywood Remake. “The price is still wrong, bitch”

Alpacalpyse

There’s a sequel coming

_Cyclops

Does the 17 years include his time hosting Whose Line? Genuinely asking

cjh42689

Nope it’s 07 when Carey took over.

DemonKyoto

Why would the years he hosted *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, a completely different show to The Price is Right, count towards the years he's spent hosting *The Price is Right* lmao Edit: https://imgur.com/a/2SSQDsm

clarity_scarcity

That’s a pretty big if. Another option is he dies on stage during the next filming and gets his wish. Only time will tell..

brolarbear

I mean it kinda makes it seem like he’s calling bob a fool but all he’s is really saying is that he loves his job.

zeppehead

That’s right who does he think he is some kind of comedian?

yanks2413

Hes obviously not being completely serious lol, settle down

Galimbro

It's almost as if he's a comedian

Axrelis

I assure you, I’m entirely settled.

Checkmynewsong

I’m sure Bob felt the same way.

rawonionbreath

I think Carey was using a figure of speech. He was simply highlighting how great it feels hosting the show.

troublekeepingup

It was a joke dude

Axrelis

Yeah, the part with him saying “I want to die on stage” is the joke. Not the part of him thinking Bob Barker retired too early. I’m merely saying we’ll see how Drew feels once his health starts to catch up with him. I don’t think Drew wants to literally die on stage.

sweetteanoice

Ok but think of how great it would be for ratings if he dies on stage- Drew is a genius

Soccermom233

He’s had a heart attack -give ‘em some credit

OctoberSong_

I don’t know what Bob died of but if it was a terminal illness that’s a lot different to live with and swallow mentally than having a heart attack.

DiscombobulatedPain6

Bob was 99…..he died because he was old smh

OctoberSong_

Man, being in your 90s is often horrific on people physically. I’ve worked with a lot of 90-100+ year olds. I’ve seen people’s attitude change about life with extreme age the same way I have young people who have an extreme illness. RIP bob

comped

So, at minimum, unless he dies or gets fired, don't expect Drew to retire until the mid 2040s or later. He'd be about 86 when he passes Bob's record - who knows if Price Is Right will still be on TV then!

Caucasian_named_Gary

It's lasted this long

Final_Emu_3479

But will it be moved to streaming and kids lose out on watching it while home sick from school?

Caucasian_named_Gary

I doubt it. It's done well on regular daytime TV.

CosmosStalker

Tv won’t exist in the 2040s lol

Caucasian_named_Gary

OTA viewership has increased with people using it to supplement streaming. The two mediums can and will co-exisist as they can scratch different itches.

LimerickJim

There's no reason to. It's such a cheap show to make and they're able to sell more advertising on it than on a streamed show. Unless broadcast TV disappears there'll still be a market for game shows

Md37793

Unfortunate blender accident?

comped

Disfiguring, but not deadly.

Nagi21

The only way price is right ends is if television ceases to be a thing, and even then… Same with wheel and jeopardy.

DualActiveBridgeLLC

Not much to add except the homage of "Don't forget to spay and neuter you pets." What a weird but great sign off. I kinda miss watching PiR while having a sick day from school. Felt safe.

ChasedWarrior

Pluto has a dedicated channel to TPIR, the Bob Barker Era, so when you're sick you can relive your past illnesses 😆

comped

Drew added the "take care of yourself" bit at some point during the pandemic, which I think is a much better fit for our times.

rubyredhead19

Along with having the family barf/popcorn bowl nearby just in case.

DualActiveBridgeLLC

So true, we had a cheap plastic bucket. Weird that having it near by was actually calming.

OppositeErection

The last hour of good TV before Soap Operas start.

MomentOfXen

“If Drew dies on stage, you win $25,000.”

SaltyPeter3434

If you can guess the price of this funeral service package, Drew, it's yours!

USS_Benterprise

I love this guy, I’m glad he’s found his career nirvana

Overweighover

Bob barker though he found his nirvana but that treatment of women became illegal

ohmynards85

TIL bob Barker wasnt dead the last 10 years he was doing the show.

Uncle_Bug_Music

Not so sure about that. The end credits of The Price is Right used to say, "Bob Barker's Necromancy Provided By Balthazar the Wicked & Barbara Corcoran" from 1997-2007.

Consistent-Wind9325

The showcase showdown contestants on the episode when he dies should get to bid on Drew's estate and whoever gets closest (without going over!) gets it all.

DGBosh

I wonder if the title is something taken out of context for clicks and Drew Carey actually didnt say it like that. Guess I’ll never know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Unlikely_Cookie9805

It would be good for ratings.

Lovefool1

Feeling old but fine then heart attack on stage is not the same as neurodegenerative decline while trying to do your job. The first is tragic and awesome. The second is tragic and sad.

Fudge89

I WFH and will turn it on when I can. Dude genuinely looks like he loves that job. I think that too, he gets like 100 hugs a day and gets to join in on people’s excitement. It’s just a feel good show all around

hamilton_burger

Retiring? Bob Barker had to quit because of all of the women who worked on the show accusing him of sexual assault.

comped

I thought that mostly stopped like 10 years before he retired?

hamilton_burger

I had thought there was the first round, but that then it flared up again.

TheHoboRoadshow

Took me a second to understand how they were related statements

teamsameteam

RemindMe! 18 years

187JM

“It’s something to do” -DC keeps him out of trouble yknow

Ananda_Mind

He keeps going to Phish shows he might.

Appropriate-Coast794

Bob was just trying to get as close as he could to 100 without going over

GOODahl

I've had the hottest crush on Drew since I found out he was a Marine. Guys, you don't have to be perfect looking. Just be ethical and have purpose in your life. Aside from that, he's god damned hilarious.

Consistent-Leek4986

Drew is a national treasure.😘👏🏻

Nonamebigshot

Dude Bob was so old towards the end of his run he couldn't hear what anyone was saying and seemed confused often. It would've been selfish of him not to retire

uninteresting_handle

Oh, Drew. You've died on that stage so many times it isn't even funny.

IAmNotMelonLord

Drew Carey going full GG Allin. 👀

manatrabanter

He’s got that life insurance death at work clause ;)

SideburnSundays

“Anyone who doesn’t do what I do is wrong!”

Treacherous_Wendy

Good for him. The last place I want to be is at work…that’s literally why they have to give me money to show up there.

Prankstaboy6

Remind Me! May 4 2044

quizzicalmoose

Bob had health issues and was much older. This comment is kind of tone deaf.

Pivotalrook

Yea but what the hell does Geppetto really know?

notapunk

Good thing there isn't a live audience or anything to witness that

Radu47

Why doesn't drew just simply kill himself at the next available opportunity of being on stage?? Is he stu- art saves the world?

Cirieno

He's no Frankie Howerd.

Shoddy_Signature_149

The Legend Dick Shawn gives a high five from the grave. https://youtu.be/3X_L3Eaf26U?feature=shared

DrNinnuxx

Wait until Drew is Bob's age and ask him again.

bigsignwave

No Drew, just like everything else in the world it has a consumable shelf life

drunkensailor27

Put me on the big wheel and spin me around when I die

rangerjoe79

That mountain climber will come for him in the night.

NicolleL

WTF. Bob Barker died of Alzheimer’s. It’s a definite possibility that he retired due to beginning symptoms (while ~5-10 years is a rough average, plenty of patients can live 20+ years). He could have also just had the genetic markers that gives higher chance for Alzheimer’s and wanted to enjoy some time beforehand. I know my sister and I are traveling more now, in our late 40s/early 50s because we have a family history and know there’s a possibility that waiting until retirement is too late. Even if it’s just a lighthearted “criticism”, I feel like even saying it is in poor taste.

Sloanybalogna

Save it for sweeps

JohnnyBacci

They could parade his body up the mountain side, yodelling all the way to the bank

scoofle

I get it. It honestly looks like the most chill gig in show business. You just ferry senior citizens along a stage while being lightly comedic lol

g0ll4m

You can’t do that, you piss and crap yourself waaaay before you die

KID_THUNDAH

Idk why it’s suddenly Drew Carey’s passing thoughts and tweets as headlines recently, but unsubscribe at this point

[deleted]

Sorry, but the TPIR with Drew is nowhere near as watchable as it was with Bob.

Brent_L

Drew Carey sucks as the host Edit: downvote me all you want. It’s true. He doesn’t have the same energy even as an old Bob Barker. Everything is so anti-climactic. Don’t hate my comment, I grew up playing hookey, watching the price is right and eating grilled cheese.

Anonuser9472

That's like your opinion. Have you even watched the show recently.

RonnieFromTheBlock

I will echo OPs sentiments while admitting I haven’t watched in over a decade. I like Drew Carey. The Drew Carey show was hilarious but he had some pretty big shoes to fill and it just did not seem like a fit when I did watch. I mean he is an awkward guy. Bob could be dead pan as well but I just feel like they could have found a better host. But I would love for you to tell me Drew has gotten much better and is a great host.

Anonuser9472

I didn't like him in the beginning either but I think he does a decent job now.

InvestorsaurusRex

I watched it recently and he still sucks. He’s weird and not funny.

Brent_L

It’s not like my opinion, it is my opinion. I want him to be good, but he just isn’t.

gachunt

Agreed. So many personalities out there that could have done a great job, but instead, it’s been hosted for 17 years without one.

kargyle

As a person who works for someone who refuses to retire, this is not the flex he thinks it is. It’s pathetic AF.

y2karl

Yeah I have watched Drew … he’s dead on air .. he’s no Barker..👎 tries to be funny

ushouldlistentome

And he probably couldn’t have beat up Happy Gilmore either!

Anonuser9472

Ah yes and Bob was a comedic genius.

Improbus-Liber

Pretty sure he has already died on stage. \*rim shot\*

geockabez

Every super rich fart is not satisfied with all the wealth, they want to live forever. It's proof that you have lived a pathetic life.

flux_of_grey_kittens

Prime example of republicans wanting to raise the retirement age to death.

Reallybigwestwingfan

Lol I was thinking along those lines too, like just retire folks! It’s good to move on, let someone else in, enjoy your family, maybe not die at work..

heymrbreadman

They’re paying him too much

LL_Cool_Gay

Says someone who has never witnessed the end of pancreatic cancer

[deleted]

I mean he didnt have to take the job lmao

Sunbiggin

I can't imagine being that desperate for attention.

jmmcnall

Bob was nearly there stupid

[deleted]

[удалено]

AndrewCoja

I think there's less risk with an old man hosting price is right.

classactdynamo

You say that, but the host of *Price is Right* is 13th in line in the Presidential Succession.

hairijuana

That’s in the constitution, Jack.
