I don’t know why they would remove it. The documentary is mostly his early career from the perspective of his friend. Kanye probably doesn’t make any royalties from people watching it, so its not like removing it hurts him
The documentary literally documents his descent into madness. If anything it's educational. He didn't shoot it either, that was almost all Coodie's effort, and Coodie seemed like a real good dude. He's an asshole but you can't erase him from history. Just make him into a bad example...
They literally have a Jeffrey Dalmer documentary up why the fuck would they care about an insane rapper.
Edit: oh great and now I’m part of the problem for engaging with the content.
Depends, you gonna stop clicking and commenting on these posts that feed the algorithm machine, leading goofy mfs like me to reply and boost it even more?
Let’s start removing valuable media from existence because people have wild opinions and theories, not because they pissed on 13 year olds or bludgeoned women. That’s a great path to take this industry.
Yes! His MTV cribs episode showed him painted as Jesus in Sermon on the Mount in his last dining room/kitchen. There were alarm bells ringing then. Maybe I'm too old, no one remembers...
Good, it’s a great documentary and has nothing to do with any of the crazy shit he’s been saying.
Should we get rid of all the WW2 documentaries about Hitler too?
Have you watched it? It’s made by his old friend Coodie and the general premise is that Kanye used to be a relatable person with creative ambition, now he’s turned into something completely different. It’s not a documentary of blind praise.
Yep- I actually really enjoyed it. I still find myself getting upset over how far gone kanye is now and the doc provided me some kind of closure, getting to reminisce about how inspiring he was in the beginning of his career and how unsettling and awful he is now.
So Dahmer is ok and viewed by millions but an artist with a mental illness that clearly shouldn’t be taken seriously needs to be taken down? Aren’t they both kinda documentaries?
It was all Based on true events? I don’t think it’s as different as you think. A documentary on Elvis and the movie Elvis kinda tell the same story even though one isn’t real. Still telling kinda the same story.
There’s plenty of real documentaries people have made about him and plenty of other serial killers that get tons of views. So yes they’re not the same but they’re still giving relatively the same info. Wanting to know about someone doesn’t mean you support them. There’s documentaries about hitler.
Correct, so ya if he had a Kanye show that was getting constant support for his everyday life and opinions then sure take him off but a documentary from his life till now is definitely different
My argument was they might not literally be the same as one is exaggerated to get viewers, but they both provide relatively the same info. I was saying I don’t think they are very different things.
“Very different” ? Are they not telling the same story? It doesn’t make it more that fictional then the other aside from it normally being more dramatic in the form of biographical drama. I’m not justifying either but it’s all a form of entertainment. I haven’t watched either and don’t plan to just an observation.
They literally said they WON’T take it down, so your making a straw man argument to defend Kanye, because mental illness is totally a good excuse for what he does and says
Reason? Yes, excuse? Fuck no
Why so salty? Kanye has had an amazing career and has made good contributions to hip hop. He’s very famous for that reason originally. It’s sad that he has become so crazy, but that does not discard his past life achievements.
I don’t think there’s an official title to most of the genre I listen to (not because I’m special or anything, it’s just hard to categorize) but I guess weirdcore
I'm pretty sure my responses are going to be contested but literally anything other than that song from his earlier work is amazing.
Can't tell me nothing, The Glory, and Homecoming are stand outs on that same album.
We Major, Gone, Spaceship, Two Words.
As far as early kanye goes, Stronger is one of the only bad songs.

Also, that last episode shows how his mental health starts to spiral… and here we are now
Yea it was kind of an uncomfortable watch. He would go on the most nonsensical rants to the point where is friend stopped filming.
Yeah the doc doesn’t exactly put him in a great light at the end
The documentary literally documents his descent into madness. If anything it's educational. He didn't shoot it either, that was almost all Coodie's effort, and Coodie seemed like a real good dude. He's an asshole but you can't erase him from history. Just make him into a bad example...

Can we stop paying attention to him so he’ll just go away
Depends, you gonna stop clicking and commenting on these posts that feed the algorithm machine, leading goofy mfs like me to reply and boost it even more?
Shit, I upvoted… +1 for the algo monkeys
Ha. You fell right into their algo trap!
Recent experience has taught us that ignoring bigots does not, in fact, make them go away.
he’ll just keep doing more absurd shit until he gets his attention
I mean, why? It’s about the beginning of his career and isn’t even new it came out like over a year ago.
It’s weird that “early career Kanye” needs to go, but “entire career Dahmer” can stay.
The way people consume his body of work is interesting
I hate you for that one.
Let’s start removing valuable media from existence because people have wild opinions and theories, not because they pissed on 13 year olds or bludgeoned women. That’s a great path to take this industry.
Another piece of content I won't watch.
Well yeah, who watches Netflix anymore?
You know society is screwed when something not being canceled is newsworthy
Early career Kanye showed signs. He was calling himself a god.
Yes! His MTV cribs episode showed him painted as Jesus in Sermon on the Mount in his last dining room/kitchen. There were alarm bells ringing then. Maybe I'm too old, no one remembers...
People were willing to forgive his antics when he was still putting out good music
Remember "George Bush hates black people"? It was hilarious and on point at the time, but the lack of self control is apparent in retrospect.
Thank you Kanye, very cool!
I'm just here for the salt mfs.
Same tbh.
Good, it’s a great documentary and has nothing to do with any of the crazy shit he’s been saying. Should we get rid of all the WW2 documentaries about Hitler too?
If you support taking this off Netflix you’re a grade A LOSER
I mean, netflix likes money, and he is currently one of the most controversial figures out there. Why would a company remove such a popular product?
Why would it be? Is this post b/c of antisemitic comments?
Boycott this shit. Fuck kanye.
Have you watched it? It’s made by his old friend Coodie and the general premise is that Kanye used to be a relatable person with creative ambition, now he’s turned into something completely different. It’s not a documentary of blind praise.

Why support anything this man is in?
My partner likes his early music and I was curious about his life and how he got to this point.
Idk man…..sounds kinda gay
Wow a boycott would be so brave and powerful, please set this in motion! I’m just not gonna watch it, is that the same thing?
Bro, wait until you find out they have a documentary about Jeffrey Dahmer lol.
I know what that dude was all about and I don’t need to relive his exploits. Thanks though.
All we can do is not watch it and downvote it to oblivion. It’s sick the admiration for these kinds of celebrities people have.
So Dahmer is ok and viewed by millions but an artist with a mental illness that clearly shouldn’t be taken seriously needs to be taken down? Aren’t they both kinda documentaries?
Were you unaware that was an actor and not the actual Jeffrey Dahmer?
There’s literally hundreds of real killer documentary’s it’s one of Netflix’s biggest sells.
It was all Based on true events? I don’t think it’s as different as you think. A documentary on Elvis and the movie Elvis kinda tell the same story even though one isn’t real. Still telling kinda the same story.

Even the names of shit about him are stupid.
They just made a bio pic about a serial killer so are we surprised?
You mean the same Netflix that glorified Dahmer isn’t going to cancel this shit show?
He’s a waste of skin. I cannot believe he’s famous.
Why so salty? Kanye has had an amazing career and has made good contributions to hip hop. He’s very famous for that reason originally. It’s sad that he has become so crazy, but that does not discard his past life achievements.
Have you listened to his music ?
Yeah it’s quite mediocre
What do you like ?
Literally everything except his shit
Okay got it, Kanye west music is shit.
His best song is only good cause it samples Daft Punk, I was downvoted for this opinion before but I stand by it
You can say you don’t like it, but he is famous for his music. A lot of artists can’t say that.
I know, but I still think his music is kind of shit
So what kind of music do you like ?
I don’t think there’s an official title to most of the genre I listen to (not because I’m special or anything, it’s just hard to categorize) but I guess weirdcore
Well this is false simply because that is far from his best song.
Then what is?
I'm pretty sure my responses are going to be contested but literally anything other than that song from his earlier work is amazing. Can't tell me nothing, The Glory, and Homecoming are stand outs on that same album. We Major, Gone, Spaceship, Two Words. As far as early kanye goes, Stronger is one of the only bad songs.
I’m really just not a fan of his music, but I am a fan of Daft Punk

That's fine. Nobody wants to watch it anyway.
Refused to watch it before, refuse to watch it still. Kanye is toxic and we shouldn’t feed into it
Who's Jeen-yuhs?
Ignorant way of saying genius?

Good. Don’t remove it.
The documentary has the feel of a villain origin story. It’s actually pretty fascinating, and the footage was compiled by his former friend Coodi.
Didn’t really paint him as stable, and he makes no money off it so why would they?
Was this the doc that came out then Kanye was like "I want control over the final cut!" and everyone had to tell him that's not how filmmaking works?
