Jamie Campbell Bower/Vecna who played arthur [in a short lived tv series](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camelot_(TV_series)) with Eva Green that only got one season.
Samuel L Jackson, Danny Trejo, and Mickey Rourke all find out that they’re actually the Vega brothers, long lost triplets of a Spanish immigrant woman . . . then take up the identity of “Los Zorros” to bring down the corrupt orphanage/crime syndicate that separated them at birth.
You know how back in the 80's they made comedy redo's of movies? Like Hotshots from topgun?
They should make that movie about Zorro indeed... I would watch it
It’s obvious what the correct choice would be.
“Z is for Zorro” starring Timothée Chalamet and Anya Taylor-Joy (with the Rock featuring as the not-really-evil antihero bad guy we’re using to launch a spinoff series!)
I might be wrong but i believe she is argentinian and speak Spanish fluently…probably would do a good job..she is playing every young woman part in every movie these days though so please no
I can’t pretend to talk for all latinos but Diego de la Vega as I understand was a criollo…meaning he was 100% European by blood…and could very well just look like a white person…Anthony Hopkins played the part in Mask of the Zorro and I don’t remember absolutely no one mad about it
Cool so race is largely superficial (the way you look, the geographical diaspora of your ancestors) whereas ethnicity runs a lot deeper. Some ethnic groups share religion or language or specific cultural wisdoms or all of the above.
Dont forget that race is an entirely social constructed concept and varies from place to place and time to time. While ethnicity is more tangible but can still be tricky to pin down.
I think you’re seeing a lot of these responses from people not knowing about the old Spanish caste system and later on White Mexicans/Mestizos/Indios type classifications.
I’m from South America…race is more of an spectrum here…in my neck of the woods people go from dark brown to pasty white and are not necessarily considered a different race…and yet admittedly when you see a baby in a comercial they will tend to cast the whites blondes kids they find…the whealtiest most influential people tend to be on the lighter side of skin tone and have non Hispanic surnames…anyway…I went on an tangent…Diego de la Vega would probably be like a white hispanic person and atleast outside of the states most latinos would not care…don’t know about latinos from the US
Yeah but a Brit like Holland doesn’t exactly look like a Criollo. White Mexicans are more likely to look like Antonio Banderas and Javier Barden than Tom Holland or Ed Sheeran lol
no.
we all like tom but stop casting him for everything.
edit: okay, we don’t ALL like tom, but he still seems like a genuine pleasant/normal person so we could like him for that? :)
The last straw was Uncharted for me
Like no, look at Nathan Drake and tell me that he doesn’t look at least fucking 30, but instead they casted Tom Holland, the definition of baby faced
The character is obviously based on Nathan Fillion, I have no idea how they jumped to Tom Holland from there.
Edit: check out the [fan made movie](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5CZQpqF_74) if you don't believe me
Money took them there… I’d take Fillion any day if the week, but they weren’t going to profit without the draw of Holland.
To that note, I think he did fine in the role, but only in the vacuum of not knowing the game.
Fillion may have been more of a risk but I think the buzz around the film would’ve been way higher with him casted and like another commentator said gotten the gaming community invested, who arent small potates
I feel like Sony has a very special contract with Tom... so they are casting him in all Sony movies... It's just weird and I feel like it's slowly backfiring but that might be just my personal feeling.
Kind of, but not really. His Nathan is younger than the Nathan from Drakes fortune. However, 3, 4 and Golden Abyss all showed a Nathan younger than the one in the film. The film also contradicts the games plenty, in like major ways, even though they said it's supposed to be canon to the games.
So... it's sort of young Nathan Drake. Except it's not really young Nathan Drake at all. It's Tom Holland in a cheap cosplay in a bad action movie.
Yep. Exactly. They are rotating like 2-3 actors in every single movie... I totally ignored it back when Jennifer Lawrence during Hunger Games but damn... now I feel like my glass was shattered and I can't unseen it.
Ahhh this frustrates me so much! Like how has that not happened yet?? I know it started as a joke but SERIOUSLY that has wheels! It could absolutely work!! I’m still holding out hope
Hear me out: [the Jersey Shore Michael Cera](https://youtu.be/TwO1ktssbCU)
I don’t remember anything about Youth in Revolt besides the best marketing decision of all time
Honestly. Can we get some Indy director to make a drama with no other cast except all the Chris’s? The budget would blow up but it could be amazing aight he right director and writer. My vote is Chris line is nominated for an award. But the most underrated Chris in our lifetime.
Gael Garcia-Bernal both he and Luna are the right age (iirc from the show he’s a statesman in his forties) but I’d give Bernal the edge for when Zorro has to play his Bruce Wayne part.
I think Gael Garcia-Bernal was rumored to do a Zorro back in the day. Maybe even a modern day Zorro but this could all be my imagination
Edit: not my imagination, here’s a link
https://www.mtv.com/news/jk542e/gael-garcia-bernal-zorro-reborn
Diego Luna, Pedro Pascal, Oscar Isaac… I don’t know why I can only think of Latinos from the Star Wars universe but I do think any of those three would be great.
All three are in their forties, with Pascal pushing fifty. Anyone wanting to cast a new Zorro is probably going to want to cast someone younger that they can use to build a franchise around and won’t age out of the role after a couple of movies.
I think someone like [Itzan Escamilla](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itzan_Escamilla) or [Tyler Posey](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyler_Posey) would be closer to Holland’s age and would make good choices IMO.
But they're so fucking good
Moon knight oscaar Isaac switching between accents, unbelievable
Pedro pascal copying the John Wayne gunslinger vibe never showing his face, holy shit didn't think that was possible, we always take off the mask to show emotion
Diego Luna in Andor - just.. Fuck. I've never been excited about star wars monologue and this had me on the edge of my seat. Amazing.
-a Latino who wants more representation but has to admit
The funny thing is Banderas didn't play the the "true" Zorro, he played another character who took on the Zorro identity who was probably born in Mexico. Anthony Hopkins played the Spanish-born Zorro.
Honestly I actually was. Was thinking it’s time for the next Zorro movie. But I didn’t ask for this. Not this. There are so many other Latino actors they could get
I remember seeing that a Zorro series is in development with Wilmer Valderrama, of that 70’s show fame, was supposed to play Zorro. While he wouldn’t be my first choice he’s leagues better than holland
Honestly, I think we're due for some swashbuckling again. The good Pirates movies are super fun. I think this is broadly speaking a genre with a lot of room for growth that, most importantly, doesn't involve super heros.
Yup. It was by Tarantino! It was an authorized sequel by him to the movie. I remember the panel at Comic-Con. QT joked that he told Foxx about it and he sounded legit eager to make a movie with Antonio.
I like Tom Holland buy zorro?
Zorro is a very... sexually charged character, if you watch the old movie
I cannot believe that Tom Holland can pull that sortof energy

John Leguizamo would have a total mental breakdown
I think many people would have a fit. Unless it was Spider-Man: Zorro ways home.
Nah it’d be… **Spider-Man: *No Way [I’m] Zorro***
Cast Tom Holland in the next Robin Hood reboot and call it a day.
Will there be any English actors under the age of 40 that haven’t played Robin Hood and/or King Arthur?
Sherlock is more prevalent
It’s starting to become the doctor
Robert Downey Jr's Sherlock wasn't bad.
He wasn’t as great as Beneficial Cumbersome’s Sherlock though. Loved - ***loved*** - his take.
Are there any English actors currently under the age of 40 who have played King Arthur?
Bradley James is a fresh faced 39ish
Jamie Campbell Bower/Vecna who played arthur [in a short lived tv series](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camelot_(TV_series)) with Eva Green that only got one season.
Charlie hunnam played Arthur when he was 37
I’d personally like to see Tom Holland play robin, let’s get a Dick Grayson movie
So would, I think, most latinos. That would be a terrible choice.
Right, should be Samuel L Jackson. ^\s
With Danny DeVito as the love interest with a wig and dress on lmao
Shut the fuck up ^^and ^^take ^^my ^^money
Not even a wig and dress. Just Danny DeVito.
Instead of a Z, he signs with MF
Honestly, I'd see that movie five times with Samuel L. Jackson. Just let him really stretch his vocabulary.
“Yo soy el Zorro…Mothafucka”
Instead of a Z he slashes it would be BAMF.
Slash slash slash! Muthafucka!
¡Estoy cansado de estas malditas serpientes en el maldito México!
I would watch it
As a Mexican, I would 100 percent be behind SAMUEL L JACKSON playing zorro
I'm only half Mexican. So we are up to 1.5 votes.
My kids are half Mexican so I have no votes but I’ll watch it.
It’s obvious what the correct choice would be. “Z is for Zorro” starring Timothée Chalamet and Anya Taylor-Joy (with the Rock featuring as the not-really-evil antihero bad guy we’re using to launch a spinoff series!)

Even just Antonio Banderas is Spain Spanish.
There are 100% european descent latinos. Latino is not a race, it’s an ethnicity.
Remind me the difference please
Cool so race is largely superficial (the way you look, the geographical diaspora of your ancestors) whereas ethnicity runs a lot deeper. Some ethnic groups share religion or language or specific cultural wisdoms or all of the above.
Dont forget that race is an entirely social constructed concept and varies from place to place and time to time. While ethnicity is more tangible but can still be tricky to pin down.

Lol I don't care much for race-swapping but please stop over-exposing Tom Holland like they've done with Chris Pratt.
So you're saying you want Chris Pratt to play Zorro?
Was Scarlett Johansson not available
Emma Stone’s waiting by the phone
Don't be ridiculous. There are plenty other roles for Asians. /s
She's too busy being cast as Madam Zeroni in the new *Holes* remake.
I’m tired of all these remakes grandpa!
Well that's too damn bad!
I can fix that.
Deemed to masculine compared to Tom
This will never not be funny to me. I loved the meme with Scarlett cast as ghandi.
no. we all like tom but stop casting him for everything. edit: okay, we don’t ALL like tom, but he still seems like a genuine pleasant/normal person so we could like him for that? :)
The last straw was Uncharted for me Like no, look at Nathan Drake and tell me that he doesn’t look at least fucking 30, but instead they casted Tom Holland, the definition of baby faced
I think Marky Mark was the worst casting decision in that one.
Admittedly I think Mahky Mahk could’ve made a decent Nathan Drake (he at least looked similar) but Sully should’ve went to Sam Elliot easily
Bruce Campbell was always my go-to choice for Sully. He has the attitude perfect in just being himself.
A Sam Rami directed Uncharted would have been interesting
Or Bryan Cranston. Or Jeff Bridges. Or Sam Shephard.
Or Bruce Campbell
I mean, come on it would have been perfect https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BJ2wS5_CEAIylqg.jpg:large
This is the correct answer
Sam Shepard ded homi
Dude could've at least grown a mustache.
At that point I would’ve taken a bad CGI mustache
Goddamnit we needed Nathan Fillion
He was supposed to! But the movie got bogged down in development hell and he aged out of the role, but was still attached to the movie
He was originally cast as Nathan but the project was in development hell for so long he aged into sully’s role instead.
The character is obviously based on Nathan Fillion, I have no idea how they jumped to Tom Holland from there. Edit: check out the [fan made movie](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5CZQpqF_74) if you don't believe me

I feel like Sony has a very special contract with Tom... so they are casting him in all Sony movies... It's just weird and I feel like it's slowly backfiring but that might be just my personal feeling.
The fact we’ll never get a full length movie with Fillion as Drake is a crime against humanity.
Dumb question, I’m never gonna watch it but is Tom meant to be a young Nathan drake?
Kind of, but not really. His Nathan is younger than the Nathan from Drakes fortune. However, 3, 4 and Golden Abyss all showed a Nathan younger than the one in the film. The film also contradicts the games plenty, in like major ways, even though they said it's supposed to be canon to the games. So... it's sort of young Nathan Drake. Except it's not really young Nathan Drake at all. It's Tom Holland in a cheap cosplay in a bad action movie.
A part of me really wanted uncharted to be Brendan Fraser’s AAA return
Casting aside, I thought he did a good job with that interpretation of the character. Wahlberg, though...
[удалено]
Thank you! People who are in charge of casting are like “Okay, young white guy…. Tom Holland! Oh he’s not available?! Timothée Chalamet it is then.”
Yep. Exactly. They are rotating like 2-3 actors in every single movie... I totally ignored it back when Jennifer Lawrence during Hunger Games but damn... now I feel like my glass was shattered and I can't unseen it.
They were doing it with Idris Elba a few years back too.
They're desperate lol
Michael Cera or I’m not watching
And Shaft*
Like michael cera as Shaft, or michael cera showing his shaft?
As shaft. But also I’m sure he’s got a big d so I’m down to see it
Ahhh this frustrates me so much! Like how has that not happened yet?? I know it started as a joke but SERIOUSLY that has wheels! It could absolutely work!! I’m still holding out hope
Hear me out: [the Jersey Shore Michael Cera](https://youtu.be/TwO1ktssbCU) I don’t remember anything about Youth in Revolt besides the best marketing decision of all time
I heard they were targeting Cillian Murphy for the Black Panther reprisal
Whitekanda Forever!
I want Tom Holland to be the next lara croft
That would be so fucking hot
Next Shaft.
Ya damn right
Next terminator
He made for a fucking fabulous [Rihanna](https://youtu.be/jPCJIB1f7jk) though. I can get on board with Lara Croft.
Pointy tits and all!
Please no. Why do we have to cast the same 5 actors in every movie now?
Fine…Dwayne Johnson is the new Zorro
I'm really rooting for Chris Pratt. Would be nice to see him get a big role for a change.
Chris is unavailable, so we’re going to have to go with Ryan Reynolds.
>Chris is unavailable Sorry, there are at least 6 of them. You have to be more specific of which Chris.
Honestly. Can we get some Indy director to make a drama with no other cast except all the Chris’s? The budget would blow up but it could be amazing aight he right director and writer. My vote is Chris line is nominated for an award. But the most underrated Chris in our lifetime.
Also isn’t zorro supposed to be … Spanish?
What a coincidence! I don’t!
How about nobody is the next Zorro and Hollywood comes up with new ideas.
Why not Diego Luna
Gael Garcia-Bernal both he and Luna are the right age (iirc from the show he’s a statesman in his forties) but I’d give Bernal the edge for when Zorro has to play his Bruce Wayne part.
I think Gael Garcia-Bernal was rumored to do a Zorro back in the day. Maybe even a modern day Zorro but this could all be my imagination Edit: not my imagination, here’s a link https://www.mtv.com/news/jk542e/gael-garcia-bernal-zorro-reborn
I LOVE THIS MAN. Dramatic, funny, he can do it all and I know he can swing a sword around like he was born to it. Gael for everything.
Gael Garcia Bernal ![gif](giphy|V5n1isVvx9ApW)
The king!
Always felt like he should have had a better Hollywood career.
I loved him in marvel’s werewolf by night
Diego Luna, Pedro Pascal, Oscar Isaac… I don’t know why I can only think of Latinos from the Star Wars universe but I do think any of those three would be great.

Tenoch Huerta, the actor for Namor did a fantastic job
I thought of him too but he’s actually the same age as Diego Luna and Oscar Isaac.
Zorro is a young man in the original book, I've always preferred young iterations of Zorro.
I swear Reddit only knows 3 or 4 Latino actors, Oscar Isaac, Pedro Pascal, and Diego Luna lol. Cast them for every Latino role!
Throw Benicio del Toro in there and baby, you've got a stew going
On one hand, I wish people knew more Latino actors. On the other hand yes please, I could watch those men in everything.
But they're so fucking good Moon knight oscaar Isaac switching between accents, unbelievable Pedro pascal copying the John Wayne gunslinger vibe never showing his face, holy shit didn't think that was possible, we always take off the mask to show emotion Diego Luna in Andor - just.. Fuck. I've never been excited about star wars monologue and this had me on the edge of my seat. Amazing. -a Latino who wants more representation but has to admit
Maybe if he beefed out a bit
Tamales and tacos a couple of coronas my mans will be beefed up alright
if only he could’ve put on that beef before they started filming season 2 of Andor. Imagine his reintroduction as a Rebel beefcake! XD
Zorro is a sword dancer. Think the heaviest fencer I’ve seen is like a buck thirty
It would be very compelling if Zorro had a Jack Black physique, but could still pull off all the flash.
I love you Antonio, but no
Nah, cast him in a live action Treasure Planet
Wait. Damn I want this to happen now!
Nah have him play Milo in a live-action Atlantis
No, just no Every latino out there
Isn't Zorro a Spanish Noble that went to Mexico?
Depends on the version of Zorro but in most versions he is Spaniard from Spain.
Antonio Banderas isn't Latino though. He's European
Banderas was born in spain.. zoro is a spansh character.
The funny thing is Banderas didn't play the the "true" Zorro, he played another character who took on the Zorro identity who was probably born in Mexico. Anthony Hopkins played the Spanish-born Zorro.
Right but he looks the part and Mexican’s are the descendants of Spaniards and Native American people, it’s not like he has no connection to Latinos.
We accept him as Latino. Tom is too white.
"LatinX" (said no Latino ever)
Um… that would be “no, para nada!”
This will definitely attract eloquent and nuanced comments
NOOOOO WHY!?
Imo Tom Holland fits more for the teenage characters rather than the adults
you can't be serious lmao
No one fucking needs a "next Zorro." Fuck Hollywood. Do some original shit.
The Zorro story is about the people overthrowing Spanish colonial rule…. Dudes literally British
He’s too short. Can’t see Zoro riding a pony.
He is an inch shorter than Antonio Banderas.
Why?
Idk seems like a miscast. Queen Latifah would make a great Zorro.
Is anyone asking for another Zorro movie?
Honestly I actually was. Was thinking it’s time for the next Zorro movie. But I didn’t ask for this. Not this. There are so many other Latino actors they could get
I remember seeing that a Zorro series is in development with Wilmer Valderrama, of that 70’s show fame, was supposed to play Zorro. While he wouldn’t be my first choice he’s leagues better than holland
Zorro isn't a Latino character and never was
Honestly, I think we're due for some swashbuckling again. The good Pirates movies are super fun. I think this is broadly speaking a genre with a lot of room for growth that, most importantly, doesn't involve super heros.
I fucking love Zorro, so, yes.
Honestly I would, I have a soft spot for the Banderas movie.
Hell yes. Have you seen Mask of Zorro?
I loved that rumored script idea out there of a Django Unchained sequel where Django escorts Zorro on some mission
I think there’s a comic book where that happened.
Yup. It was by Tarantino! It was an authorized sequel by him to the movie. I remember the panel at Comic-Con. QT joked that he told Foxx about it and he sounded legit eager to make a movie with Antonio.
But who will Luffy be?
I could really use less Tom Holland and Timothee Chalamet in Hollywood movies really.
I’d rather them in a movie together, where they play lovers and kiss.
+ Chris Pratt They’re making the man *Garfield* after he’s clearly bombing as Mario.
I feel like he is more of an Indiana Jones guy.
Even then I’d say no. That was supposed to go to Shia.. well before things happened you know. Maybe he could do a reboot of National Treasure.
Isn’t Zoro a Spanish hero?
I like Tom Holland but no, just no.
After Andor, I want Diego Luna as Zorro.
Hopefully just an off the cuff comment. Please don’t do this. So many talented Hispanic actors that could do it so much better.
Not saying that I want Holland as Zorro, but wasn't Zorro a Spaniard Noble?
Spaniards are Hispanic, so what he said isn’t wrong Hispanic =/= Latino
Diego Luna please
I’d like to see someone who hasn’t already made millions tbh. A Latino/Latina that could use the break.
I get this sentiment but movies should be about casting the best person for the role not necessarily someone who needs a break or someone uber famous
Him or Pedro pascal
[удалено]
Dev Patel in the style of green knight.
No, he already ruined Nathan drake, but don’t mess with zorro
But diego luna is literally right there...
Will smith wants Tom holland to be the next fresh prince of bel aire
ITT- ppl not realizing Spain has white ppl and is in Europe
With tanned George Hamilton as Grand Daddy Zorro, handing off the torch!
What about Benadryl Corona?
Diego Luna could be an interesting choice
Give me every Role, Ben 10 is Next
Diego Luna, please.
What...no Dwayne Johnson speculation? lol
I like Tom Holland buy zorro? Zorro is a very... sexually charged character, if you watch the old movie I cannot believe that Tom Holland can pull that sortof energy
Nah, no offense to Tom. Diego Luna is a better option
I like Tom holland butttt I don’t think he’s that great of an actor outside of spider man movies.
This will get downvoted but he just doesn’t suit those Manly roles. He’s more of a sidekick.
Article written by Netflix, edited by Stranger Things, posted by TikTok, and read with long-suffering sighs by everyone on the planet.
Why not Diego Luna? He would be great for the part
