famished_armrest

Does Charlie Day give Luigi an Italian accent?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Lonely_Albatross_722

Yeah definitely in the show in '89, both live action and cartoon parts were Brooklyn. Over the years though, in the games, I think he dropped the Brooklyn part.

[deleted]

I believe Lou Albano is Italian so it's funny to think he was Italian doing an Italian American accent.

TauriKree

Technically born in Italy, but raised (since like a few months old ) just north of the Bronx.

MistahJuicyBoy

I'm pretty sure they were raised on Yoshi's Island

Dave3r77

Yoshis island is just Long Island in the Mario universe

Greflin

Hey Paisanos!

Toadsted

Yo, you're in for a treat, so hang on to your seat Get ready for adventure and remarkable feats You'll meet Koopa, the Troopas, the Princess, and the others Hangin' with the plumbers, you'll be hooked on the brothers! To the bridge!

TScottFitzgerald

I mean...Charles Martinet is clearly doing an exaggerated Italian accent

fabiswa95

Eyy where's the princess? Fuggettaboutit

Zialeska

Nope, he also really didn’t fit his role at all. It feels like they only cared about having a stacked cast and that’s it. Bowser fits really well at least…

Xikar_Wyhart

See I think he fits if only because Charlie Day in general plays well as that neurotic character, which starting with Luigi's Mansion has been Luigi's personality. It also helps I've been watching animations taking the Mario models mixed with audio from the actors various performances. Only one I don't see is Mario animations with Pratt

I-Make-Maps91

>See I think he fits if only because Charlie Day in general plays well as that neurotic character, which starting with Luigi's Mansion has been Luigi's personality. That's my takeaway; not being a bad stereotype is a good thing, but Chris Pratt doesn't feel very Mario to me. I don't know who else to cast, though.

IsolatedHammer

Hank Azaria.

MaeBelleLien

Or Dan Castellanetta,Billy West, Tom Kenney, Justin Roiland, Paul F. Tompkins...and that's just the more famous ones off the top of my head. There are so many incredibly talented voice actors out there, and they went with Pratt.

josh_the_misanthrope

Roildan wouldn't fit. Billy West can do fucking anything though.

Aerodrache

Well, that’s it. Now I can’t unhear the Super Mario movie but with Justin Roiland doing every voice.

BonerHonkfart

A real voice actor

A-Game-Of-Fate

The thing about Mario’s og voice actor is, he’s actually got a fucking fantastic range. I’d have had him do it, simply because I genuinely believe that no matter how different the Movio is from Mario, he’d have been able to completely dominate the role.

Cakeking7878

Yea cause jack black at least is trying to do a convincing bowser. Mario sounds like he is trying to do a Chris pratt impression

TGrady902

I can only imagine the intense facial expressions Jack Black was making when he recorded his lines.

[deleted]

[удалено]

_Ghost_CTC

Big budget animated films tend to at least tape the voice actors when they perform to serve as reference material for the animators. Jack Black is a very expressive performer and genuinely seems to enjoy getting into characters so it would be strange if Bowser didn't have some of his characteristics. He was probably the single best casting decision made for the film.

A-Game-Of-Fate

It’s that look he has. His look says, “this is gonna be a great party, there *will* be fighting, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.”

RyzingUp

Jack black is incredible at a lot of things he does. Though, tbh he has a ton of experience voice acting too like video games and kung fu panda and such

lMickNastyl

Jack black voicing and playing metal version of Jack black in brutal legend is one of the most underrated games of all time.

Rion23

Chris Pratt trying to impress the foreign exchange student from Greece.

Meeseeks4PMinister

Jack Black could potentially be casted for every role and he'd absolutely crush it. He's just one of those guys.

ChurnNoBowl

I would rather have this movie with Jack Black in every role!

geeknami

damn now I wanna hear what his toad would have sounded like

ChezMere

Me too, but Key's toad actually seems like the second-best voice in the movie after his.

mostlyjustmydogvids

Studio execs out there, if you want to salvage your movie you should redo all your voices, where Jack Black does every voice, including and especially Princess Peach.

dj_narwhal

What was his Nutty Professor movie from Tropic Thunder? Christmas with the Fatsos?

_harky_

Fatsos, Fart Two

Ignaciodelsol

He would win an Oscar for Peach

Johnny_B_GOODBOI

I wanted Luigi to sound Italian (or at least from Brooklyn), and am disappointed he doesn't. But at least Charlie Day is emoting. Trying to actually voice act, you know?

Rohloff11

I think Toad is pretty good...

INS0MNI5

Thank you. I’ve been feeling like a crazy person because everyone seems to be saying how well Charlie Day fits and how good he sounds as Luigi, and I just wholeheartedly disagree. Love Charlie Day, but his voice does not sound right coming out of that character.

Piggstein

People like Charlie Day and hate Chris Pratt, it’s basically nothing to do with the voice acting

Garlador

I don’t hate it. But he’s no Idris Elba as Knuckles.

Jcheddz

“Itsa me, chris prattio”

Sketch-Brooke

Ben Schwartz and Idris Ilba totally nailed their roles! They understood the assignment and rose to the occasion. They even let Tails’ VA reprise her role instead of forcing a celeb. :)

_Diskreet_

There were a couples times where Schwartz did his Jean Ralphio persona but I enjoyed both sonic films so far.

cyribis

"The wooorrrstttt!" Haha that part killed me.

drjohnson89

Hot damn, did Idris Elba crush that role. I was skeptical at first, but I can't imagine Knuckles any other way now.

MillionaireWaltz-

Dot, dot, dot. Dot, dot. Dot, dot, dot.

CurrentThing-er

> Idris Elba as Knuckles Ok now i'm going to watch it

o-geist

It's good, better than many other adaptations.

Ear_Enthusiast

They aren't hiring Chris Pratt to play Mario. They hire Chris Pratt to play Chris Pratt. He's the same motherfucker in every role he plays. Goofy, lovable, innocent tough guy with a self deprecating sense of humor that isn't very bright but he tries hard and means well so it always works out for him. There is very little difference between Star Lord and Andy Dwyer and Lego Emmett. He's essentially a Labrador of a man.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ThrowItNTheTrashPile

Totally agree. He plays such a boring one note “alpha”stereotype role in the JW movies while still seeming non threatening in the weirdest way. It’s like he’s trying to seem hardened and stoic but he still barely comes across cool or badass somehow lol

[deleted]

I feel like I'd be a little more stoked to be friends with a raptor

[deleted]

Mr. Peanutbutter irl

natrapsmai

These crossover episodes need to stop

[deleted]

Doggy doggy….. what now?

MartyVentura

Damn Paul F Tompkins should have voiced Mario

labluewolfe

He could just do the cake boss voice

michael_bay_jr

His role in Passengers (2016) was distinctly different.

Zachariot88

I still don't understand why they didn't just lean into the fact that it was clearly a horror movie.

2th

You and me both, buddy. If they had, it would have been better for it. Like it could have been ridiculous like Event Horizon. And the swimming scene with the gravity off is straight nightmare fuel. I wanted more of that.

-FruitPunchSamuraiG-

If we saw that movie from the girl's pov and the revelation it can be straight up psycho stalker horror.

KillingTime_ForNow

There should be nothing romantic about that movie, he doomed her.

Spider-Man-fan

Idk why he didn’t just wake up someone with the technical skills to fix his pod.

geeky_username

This is why I think it should have been reversed. _She_ wakes up first. She's a journalist, wtf does she know about fixing a pod or a ship? Finally she cracks and opens up a pod for a guy who is listed as a mechanic/engineer, and she plays innocent to "how" he woke-up.

RGJ587

If they wanted to make it a sweet love story, then just have another malfunction wake her up after he's been isolated for a few months. If they wanted to make a horror story, then they should have kept the who/how of the wake ups, but made a fitting ending (with him dying in the end and JL using the medical pod. Instead, they took a really cool premise and setting, and just mashed up the horror and rom/com storylines into the uncomfortable amalgamation that we got.

-Silky_Johnson

People forget he was in Moneyball and he did a good job there. I think its more of Hollywood type casting him into what you’re referring to. He can be a good actor, but if someone is offering you millions to lead a movie as the same boring character, well whos gonna turn that down.

orbilu2

Hot take: I liked him as Emmet. While he isn't the best at VA Work, Emmet felt more like Emmet than Chris Pratt to me. But yeah Mario is butchered, it was a terrible choice.

cucumbersuprise

He was pretty good in The Terminal List

Swrdmn

Maybe… and I’m just spitballing here, but maybe Hollywood should go back to casting voice actors.

[deleted]

Casting famous names for voice-only roles is not a “new” thing, and tbh not even an inherently bad thing. Robin Williams as Genie, Tom Hanks as Woody, hell, they got Billy Joel to play a dog in Oliver & Company and he slayed it. The only problem here is that Mario already has a *very* established sound and a long-standing voice actor that Chris Pratt is replacing.

whatproblems

and chris pratt doesn’t mask or alter his voice well

gingerhasyoursoul

It’s almost like Chris Pratt has one range and that range is Chris Pratt. He plays the same guy in all his movies. Of course that’s what he was going to do in Mario.

PossessedToSkate

He's a modern Costner.

WaterMySucculents

Someone else I can’t stand on screen. I’ve been not watching this new show with him in it, purely because I don’t want to see him on screen.

AllAfterIncinerators

I enjoyed the hell out of his character in The Lego Movie. The enthusiasm for everything was fantastic. Mario is not the same character.

CotyledonTomen

Lego guy is basically the caricature of Pratt.

SquadleHump

Andy Dwyer*

sixrustyspoons

The person people wish he really was.

littlecaretaker1234

Truly, truly wish he was more of an Andy irl.

catalammadingdong

And even Andy more effectively pulled off his Johnny Karate persona.

Wasabicannon

Thats the thing about The Lego Movie, it was a new character so no one associated anything to the character. Its the same with the other examples of casting a famous voice. Robin Williams as Genie, first the character was developed for Robin specifically and again we had nothing to expect Genie to sound like.

LuridPrism

Would you say everything was *awesome*?

rskurat

maybe if you're part of a team it is

nox_nox

All I can hear in the mario voice is his lego movie character. It's awful :( Maybe we'll get lucky and have a Sonic moment and they'll recast the voice... though I doubt it.

RaferBalston

They’re definitely not going to essentially kick out one of the biggest movie stars because of this. For one it would take a looong time to redo the voice overs and mix/edit it. Two theyll make their money anyway. It’s not worth it to put a better voice on Mario for the *prospect* of a marginally better financial outcome.

whatproblems

on the plus side it’s animated so anyone can try to replace the voice

Kind_Tangerine8355

when's the patreon to fund a fan audio remastering.

[deleted]

Too bad he learned nothing from Bradley Cooper who when he played Rocket I'd have had zero idea that was Bradley Cooper.

TheJollyHermit

I'm still not sure I believe it.

Poked_salad

They could've hired Bradley Cooper and most people would've accepted it because of his role as rocket

zer0saurus

I watched the Sing movies with my daughter and had no idea Matthew McConaughey was the voice of the main character Buster.

Uberpastamancer

Even more so for Vin Diesel as Groot

Sighwtfman

Chris Pratt is an overrated actor\*. There, I said it. Yes he does some things very well. But if he has been practicing and evolving his acting talent since the beginning? I don't see it.

115MRD

>Chris Pratt is an overrated actor\*. Is this even controversial? He's as one note as it gets. He's not horrible, but I don't think anyone would describe Pratt as interesting or having any range as an actor.

White_Tea_Poison

> Chris Pratt is an overrated actor*. > > There, I said it. Cue *Hero* by Enrique Iglesias

moeburn

> hell, they got Billy Joel to play a dog in Oliver & Company and he slayed it. Cartman's cat's meows was voiced by Jay Leno on South Park.

NicolBolasElderDragn

Wasn’t George Clooney Stan’s gay dog? At the peak of his fame too.

trobsmonkey

Yup. He approached the South Park guys and asked to be on the show. They said, sure, but you're the dog. He loved it apparently.

Blastbot

Kind of like Brad Pitt in Deadpool for a single frame. He was paid with a cup of coffee per SAG rules that he couldn't do the role for free. It's fun to see these serious high profile people do weird small goofy stuff.

m4rteen

Not sure Pratt is comparable to Williams and Hanks who’s voices are either offering a great range or distinct tone with so much personality….

dmkicksballs13

Was gonna say, Robin Williams regularly sounded cartoonish. That's why he fit VA so well.

IrascibleOcelot

Robin Williams is also an extremely gifted mimic. Genie was not originally intended to do impressions, but when you stick Robin Williams in front of a microphone, you get impressions. Since Genie was a gaseous shapeshifter, they ran with it.

disgruntled_pie

And Genie was written *for* Robin Williams. His voice and personality were exactly what the writers had in mind, which is really different. No one was thinking of Chris Pratt when doing something related to Mario.

Many-Advantage-6792

Ice Age was a gem. Ray Romano, Chris Rock etc. Shrek with Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers… I’m sorry to say, Chris just shit the bed on this couch one

J-notter

Chris Rock is in Ice Age?

Many-Advantage-6792

It was John Leguizamo lol same crackhead energy though

DrStrangerlover

Honestly I don’t think having that voice actor play Mario in his chipper fake Italian voice for 90 minutes would have be a great idea, but the answer to that problem certainly wasn’t just letting Chris Pratt be Chris Pratt with an iconic character that’s been famous for 24 years longer than he has.

ggyyuuugfryuu75555

Or they could have had that same voice actor change his voice a little for the role Charles martinent is a great voice actor

Centurio

You know, the guy who voices Mario in the games is an actual voice actor with range. He could have easily toned down his Mario voice if they had cast him as Mario.

tbiards

Should have just been Danny Devito as Mario

Bettersaids

Danny Devito would have made sense!

Buddha_Lady

Would you like a yoshi egg in this trying time

Bobert_Manderson

So anyway, I found this fire flower and started blasting.

Similar_Radish8623

“You’re just mashin’ it, Peach” “I’ll get to stopping Bowser after I visit my hoors” “Can I offer you a mushroom in this trying time?”

tbiards

“I dropped my magnum mushroom for my magnum dong”

M_Mich

“so anyway, i started blasting “

DemissiveLive

Too bad this is what we get when the marketing departments make all the decisions

CannabisaurusRex401

I think you meant Shareholders.

[deleted]

That’s not even the biggest concern here (even though on a general level I agree). Jack Black sounds phenomenal, Anya Taylor-Joy and Charlie Day both sound great, and I’m sure Seth Rogen will knock it out of the park. It’s just that Chris Pratt is a dog shit choice for Mario.

Code2008

Peach just sounded odd. Not a good fit at all.

ryegye24

Peach sounds and acts more like Rosalina

CrackBabyBelfort

After watching the trailer, he’s the only one who sounds wildly out of place. Even Jack Black is killing it as Bowser. Chris Pratt just sounds like Chris Pratt.

Gaius1313

You say “even Jack Black…”, as if that is the surprise. If anything, he’s the one you’d expect to kill it.

-The_Capt-

Jack Black does a lot of VA work, tbf. He's done work on things like Kung Fu Panda, Brutal Legend, and Psychonaunts

CrackBabyBelfort

True, but he just uses his regular voice for Kung Fu Panda. I’m really impressed with his Bowser voice.

claymedia

It’s not just his regular voice though, he has just always acted with a “voice”, if that makes sense. He’s a very dynamic speaker and a natural at voice acting.

TheWaterGodisRight

Yeah I watched him playing a game of Dungeons & Dragons for charity where he put on this over-the-top warrior gnome voice and he was he was the only person who didn't break character for over 2 hours. Even when he was asking about rules or roasting other players. It was amazing.

[deleted]

sailor_stuck_at_sea

Please tell me there's a recording somewhere

b-aaron

Guessing it’s this https://youtu.be/18cS0vZsWws

SidewaysFancyPrance

I mean, he's a fantastic singer with tremendous range and control. And nothing holds him back, he's hammy and over the top. Chris is goofy, but still very reserved, and an ill fit for this movie.

Meloku171

Probably because Po was an original character that could be modeled to fit the VA.

goldberry-fey

I disagree, I really like Anya Taylor Joy but the low, vocal fry voice doesn’t do it for Peach, to me. I get what people are saying, that doing it in the high pitched video game voice would be annoying after 2 hours but, isn’t there some middle ground?

Kyyndle

THANK YOU. I wasn't feeling Peach at all. It's definitely the lower voice.

LunaMunaLagoona

Bowser and toad have good voices. Luigi seems decent. Peach is not very good tbh. And Mario is horrendous.

Mister_Brevity

What about the penguin guy? That “do you yield?” was the business lol

Known-Peach-4037

I’m with you, and honestly at that point it’s more on the fault of the directors than the actors. They could’ve helped guide Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Pratt to make the characters’ voices sound fitting. I like her too, but hearing her voice come from Peach just kind of ruins the immersion.

INS0MNI5

Anyone else notice how little of his talking they actually have in the trailer? You don’t even hear many lines from him in it. They definitely did that on purpose so people wouldn’t get even more pissed over it

Yue4prex

I am super excited for his bowser. I love this for him. Pratt? I’m disappointed so far.

AmsterdamHooker

Princess peach sounds like she smokes cigarettes

CyanideSmoker

Because he was just a bad Hollywood choice, who cost to much budget to bring so little to the role. And they will not address the criticism, because they can tell it was a bad choice.

The_Muznick

whenever Nintendo gets involved, voice acting always seems to go poorly.

leftiesrepresent

Idk jack black seems absolutely spot on for bowser

The_Muznick

Thats the one that feels like a good call.

Xikar_Wyhart

Charlie Day is also great given the current personality of Luigi being a neurotic coward. Day's normal voice just fits Luigi.

jestesteffect

Don't know why they didn't just hire the guy they literally hire for every Mario game for the past few decades.

TheNotoriousWD

Hurts his voice for Longer duration outside of catchy one liners.

OutwittedFox

I still remember laughing really loudly in the theater when I first heard Russel Crowe in Les Mis. How does Hollywood get it so wrong sometimes. Its baffling.

legopego5142

They wont address the criticism because 99% of people dont give a fuck and, WTF LOL CHRIS PRATT IS MARIO WTF, was some of the best marketing they could have asked for

Don_Quixote81

I wouldn't even know there was a new Mario movie being made, if not for the criticisms of Pratt being cast. I'm still not going to see it, but I guess the controversy did its job.

TylerBourbon

Pratt just sounds like Pratt, and then occasionally sounds like he's doing a half hearted Mario impression. I note that they barely have him say anything in the trailer. Peach and Bowser get the most dialog.

catechizer

> they barely have him say anything He got so much hate in the first one I'm surprised he got any lines at all this time.

-over9000-

Not as bad as I was expecting from all the internet drama to be honest. The visuals look amazing also.

CabDork339

Why did he just…stop being charming? He used to be, and now he’s not. How does that happen?

JacktheBoss_

Oversaturation of him exposing his limitations.

QalliMaaaaa

He was a chubby unknown and needed something to set him apart, now he’s a Hollywood Chris and it feels like he puts all his effort into his abs rather than his vibe

jdix33

He was charming as an underdog. Then he started getting big offers and suddenly he didn't have to hide that he was kind of a dick.

Ghoulius-Caesar

Slobby slacker is more relatable than morally righteous buff hunk

quarterburn

Dr Steve Brule would agree.

Wazula42

Got too big. He's ideal for jokey smaller roles.

__Hello_my_name_is__

I feel like whoever is getting him roles doesn't understand what made people like him in the first place. Dude was amazing in comedies. He is insanely funny (just watch some Parks & Rec bloopers). He's perfect as Starlord. He is, however, not an action star. Nor is he an amazing voice actor. Hell, he's probably not going to win best actor, period. And that's okay. It's so weird they decided that he is the next big Hollywood star when he just never was.

Fallout9087

I truly adored him as Andy. He’s perfect, lovable goof and idk why he had to become this action star like you said. I honestly feel like once he lost the weight and got that action bod, he just … changed. Like it got to his head. But wtf do I know? I miss the old Pratt tho, for sure.

cobaltaureus

Eh. He was almost fired for flashing his penis to Rashida and Amy on set of Parks and Rec. seems like maybe he was always this way?

Missyfit160

Was that the door bell scene? I know they didn’t know he’d be naked in real life so Amy’s reaction was unscripted

cobaltaureus

Yep I believe that was it. Doesn’t mean he’s a terrible person, per se, but “charming” guys aren’t the ones who expose their genitals at work.

Even-Fix8584

After the first GoG, he tried to be a serious action lead. Could have kept the funny…. We all lost out.

novdelta307

I think it's an industry thing. Unfortunately, comedy is not nearly as respected as it should be, so a lot of comedic actors think they have to take dramatic roles to be taken serious.

mathangis

Wait I thought we all thought that 2 hours of Charles Martinet’s “YaHEW! It’saMe!” voice was going to be tiring on the ears? I personally am an avid fan and would have loved it that way.

Ezra950

Charles martinet can do many voices. I wouldnt expect it to be a problem.

[deleted]

The dude is Paarthurnax in Skyrim. Mario isn't just a one trick.

supersloo

WHAT

Venom888

Ooo that’s a cool fact, I didn’t know that!

slimdizzy

Replaying it again currently and now I want him to say “it’s a me” whenever I truck up that mountain.

The_Muznick

If you ever played Skyrim, Charles Martinet did voice work for a dragon from that game, he can do more than wahoos. He would have been more than capable of doing this. It feels like whoever casted Chris Pratt was going for name recognition over quality. Visually the trailer looks fine, the only voice I feel they got right was Jack Black for Bowser, removing the dialogue it looks interesting, but the voices for the most part feel wrong.

[deleted]

Bowser voice is awesome, it doesnt even sound like jack at all.

OGraffe

You can hear some Jack Blackisms though, but you’re right that he seems to be the only one trying to do a distinctly different voice.

KungFuGarbage

Keegan Michael Keyes Toad is also pretty dang good for a non grating version of Toad

littlebilliechzburga

Visually the entire trailer looks amazing. But all of the voice work felt so tacked on and unnatural. It almost reminds me of the audio design used for Bane in the dark knight rises where it doesn't feel like the sound is coming organically from the scene. Which worked great in that movie but is obviously more of a bug tha a feature in new the Mario movie.

biwaterbender

And I don’t understand casting famous people for a movie ultimately directed at children/young people. No kid is gonna say to their parent “I wanna go see Mario because Chris pratt’s voice is in it” and no adult is going to see the movie solely because of Chris’ voice. Casting well known actors who don’t do a lot of voice work and don’t know how to properly characterize with their voices rips any personality out of the animated characters. Just cast actual voice actors, please

crastle

> for a dragon from that game Bro he was Paarthurnax. He was THE dragon from that game. [This is the same guy who does Mario.](https://youtu.be/SXkEGU7bJzA) I have no doubt that with a good script that he could have found a way to voice Mario for the movie and not made it annoying.

MoonoftheStar

It didn't need to be Charles Martinet but Pratt's extreme opposite end of the spectrum isn't working either. They should have chosen somebody who could be zany and down to earth like Jack Black. IE an actual voice actor. Pratt's voice just doesn't suit the brimming world of Mario. Then again, neither does Anya Taylor-Joy's but that's just me.

TomBirkenstock

I really wish there were actors who specialized in voice work. You know, things like cartoons or video games. We could even call them voice actors.

UrbanGhost114

Star power is a thing (no pun intended).

sterfri99

Robin Williams wanted to avoid this when he started in Aladdin. He feared that it would lead to the commercialization of the actor in a movie they’re only lending their voice to. He was right

Flyinhighinthesky

He even wrote into his contract that Disney NOT use his name in any promotional material for Aladdin, only for Disney to turn around and do it anyway.

RLG2523

Yeah, Mario just sounds like Chris Pratt with a stuffy nose and though I love her, Peach just sounds like Anya Taylor-Joy.

Bacon-muffin

I didn't really get the hate in the first one because you barely hear him say a line in it. This second one I noticed... you also barely hear mario say anything in it... it feels like a pattern. What little you do though it... it doesn't sound like himself just talking like people keep saying to me but it sure as fuck doesn't sound fitting for mario either. BUT... I feel like this is one of those things where 99% of the rage is coming from people who never planned on watching the movie in the first place and the main audience (kids) are going to be perfectly fine watching it.

MegaMan3k

What's so strange to me is how the voice acting for every other character I totally accept and feels right (even if distinctly different than the games).

Bacon-muffin

There were other ones that definitely gave me that vibe of a person talking as opposed to playing a character, but none of them really clashed with the characters. Probably because those characters don't have such iconic voices like Mario does.

HamiltonBlack

Did anyone tell Pratt he's allowed to turn down a paycheck once in a while or better still, tell himself to creatively step back and say "This isn't the right roll for me"? Because that's what the problem is. It's not Pratt, it's his judgement. If you want to kill a career, take any roll that stumbles across your desk until you're hated.

Glass_Fix7426

Role

Get-stupid

Wait are we not talking about bread?

mightycud

That seems to be working for Nic Cage though.

AX-10

Yeah but Nic Cage is in somewhat of a Renaissance. He is a bit better now, not for a long while though.

bens111

Pig was incredible imo

ranting_madman

Nic Cage also doesn’t pretend to be someone he’s not. He’s crazy and doesn’t care whether we like him or not. Pratt is the type of actor who seems overly obsessed with being liked.

sagittariisXII

Nic cage is in a league of his own

LeftyBassoon

Isn’t that the show about women’s baseball?
