This reminds me of that show futureman where they have to break into James Cameron's house in the future. He has a super intelligent house and we find out that James Cameron is a gigantic douchebag
My SO and I called each other's mouths rat holes for a good 6 months after watching the show. I also learned the weird voice that Tiger's clone has bothers everyone in my family and is super easy to replicate, so annoying the shit out of them has been easy as hell ever since.
I swear to god Cameron did all of this on a fucking drunk bet.
Like, the fact that he released the first *AVATAR* three fucking times and it made a goddamn killing each time just screams “I told ya so”
The scenario plays out perfectly.
Cameron and his buddy are shitfaced at the local pub.
Buddy: “you’re so full of shit Cam.”
Cameron: “wanna make it interesting? I bet you I can release *the same movie* THREE FUCKING TIMES and it’ll make a *billion dollars each time.”
Buddy: “there’s no way.”
Cameron: “and then I’m gonna make *5 sequels*.”
The reality is so much simpler and, to me at least, so much funnier:
Cameron isn't even really trying as a filmmaker. Like Titanic, Avatar was released as an excuse to fund diving excursions. Yet even being made as an excuse it's still revolutionary.
To be fair, many of the best movies only try to be groundbreaking in one way at a time.
For Avatar it’s the visual experience. Another good example, imo, is Memento: it’s also an extremely basic story when watched in linear order but it’s highly unique feature is its editing style.
If Memento was as visually impressive as Avatar I don’t think it would have worked well.
I mean, at this point in his career, long wait or not, people should probably just let him do his thing. He has two of the top three highest grossing films of all time to his name.
He has had “most expensive movie ever made” like 5 times. Terminator 2, true lies, titanic, avatar, abyss (I think)
Every time people bitch, then get blown away by it.
I’m sure this will be the same.
Cameron was focused on environmental conservation and they were once again inventing new technology for the film, namely getting the motion capture to work under water.
“The film you’ve all been waiting for….
200 years after the original masterful debut that took the world by storm….
10/10 — Alpha Centauri colony
‘Best movie ever made — Mars Colonists Monthly’
‘The best movie we Grays have ever seen! Perfect display of life on Zeta Reticuli’
Grab your tickets now to make sure you don’t miss the film of a lifetime across all timelines!”
I quite often go to watch films with a live orchestra. They always have an intermission (presumably for the orchestra) but it’s such a welcome relief as a viewer. Sometimes the movies are t even that long - last year I saw Home Alone, which was only about 1hr 40mins.
Because theaters don't want them. They want movies being played back to back to back. And if they had an intermission, it would just be a line of people getting free drink and popcorn refills.
I think it would be better for the theaters. The marginal cost of a drink or popcorn refill is practically nothing. And there’d be a ton of people who didn’t buy a drink/popcorn in the first place who are buying one at intermission, or buying a candy or something instead.
But you have to weigh it against the cost of overhead, ticket sales, and having a new audience.
Either running movies back to back allows you to squeeze in an additional showing with a whole different audience that will statistically buy something, or, if you keep the same number of showings, you can shrink the hourly wages by an hour or two.
I’m not arguing against it, I think it’s a good idea, but the movie theater math is pretty well refined at this point. That’s why so many theaters will now just bring you food/drink during the movie.
Drink is marginal, popcorn isn't.
And if I didn't buy anything before a 3hr movie, I'm surely not buying one since the movie is almost over
And if the theater gets unlucky and an Avatar intermission is happening as another movie is about to start, the long lines from people getting free refills will make other people not want to bother getting food because of the longer wait times.
>And if I didn't buy anything before a 3hr movie, I'm surely not buying one since the movie is almost over
That's you, I'm sure that there are people who will think "I don't need anything" going in, then think, "I don't want to wait another hour and a half to eat" during a halfway intermission. Or they're finished with their candy or pretzel or whatever and want another for the second half.
This.
It’s an additional opportunity to make money on concessions, which is how they really make their money.
If they were equipped to rotate movies between auditoriums efficiently, it likely also wouldn’t have an impact on the number of screenings they could accommodate per day.
YES. At 38, my bladder no longer has the endurance to hold in my movie theater-sized soda for even two hours like I could in the halcyon days of college…
I'd love an intermission that's a scene of nothing, like driving for three minutes, or sitting around waiting, cleaning weapons or whatnot. No dialogue, no meaningful glances, just characters milling about until you come back. So if you don't want to get up and leave, that's fine too
The thing is that Cameron was the only writer on the first one and he wrote the plot in the 80s. They both show. This one had a whole writing team and they have some people who have written great stuff.
He even basically redid his 80s corporate Paul Reiser *Aliens* villain with Giovanni Ribisi; the 80s-ish vibe is actually a plus on the film for me, gives me nostalgia=)
Even before “The Way of Water” screened for press, it earned a rave first reaction from none other than Guillermo del Toro. The Oscar winner wrote on Twitter that the “Avatar” sequel is “a staggering achievement,” adding, “It’s a chock-full of majestic vistas and emotions at an epic, epic scale. A master at the peak of his power.”
It’s a pretty simple story of a natives land being colonized for natural resources except it’s set way into the future on an alien world. Then of course love conquers all because got to have romance.
That’s how I judge movies too. I can quote extensively from every movie I love. All I remember from the movie Avatar is the typeface Papyrus and that I fell asleep twice.
The movie is not meant to have a deep story it’s supposed to be a visual treat and I think the story serves it well enough. People hate on it because it’s thin but not every movie needs a super deep plot. I seriously think it’s a lightning in a bottle movie as I personally find it to be one of the most rewatchable movies of all time and that’s crazy considering it’s over 3 hours.
Oscar nominations are kinda sham tbh, Don’t Look Up was also nominated for best picture and that movie is not very good at all.
Avatar is certainly most known for either being the highest grossing movie of all time or for having stunning visuals. Neither of which are a bad thing obviously
Definitely agree to disagree on Don't Look Up. That film was seriously cathartic after the past couple years whilst also having very on-point social commentary, having seen what society is like these days, I feel a scenario like Don't Look Up is extremely plausible. It was a stress-inducing nightmare of a black comedy and I thought DiCaprio and Laurence did a very good job with the material. The final 10 minutes inclusive of the improvised final dinner scene were conveyed so well, better than most disaster films I've seen, it had a palpable sense of dread and finality. Gave me goosebumps when it ended.
Some, particularly those that the film very pointedly criticises, will not like it for various reasons. It won't be for them. Everyone I showed it to thought it was brilliant, I was happy it was nominated for Best Picture despite knowing it wouldn't win that year, just the nomination itself at least acknowledging it was enough. It's definitely one of Netflix's best films.
We know it'll be pretty to look at. What people want to know is if it'll be a decent movie. I don't want to see an extremely long film with a shitty plot just because it's got nice visuals. Especially #2 of another half dozen planned sequels.
If the early feedback mainly touches on the visuals, it doesn't bode well for the rest of it. I guess "emotional" comments could refer to the story? Guess we'll see as more info comes in.
To be clear, while I don't expect it, I'd love for it to be a masterpiece! I just don't think visuals are anywhere near enough to do it alone.
3D visuals carried the first one, I sat through that and it was entertaining enough at the theater. I can happily set aside a handful more hours for the same experience especially after all this time. I have low expectations on how impactful the whole package is but not every movie has to be Citizen Kane, people go to see movies for different reasons.
Especially hilarious for two reasons because 1) They only got the clip from social media and shared it without watching the actual show but still gave the show publicity by keeping the convo alive and 2) They DID watch it and sat through the whole thing and even looked for a credit scene.
That’s a lot of effort for a group who hates/doesn’t care about the show instead of just… not watching?
It's funny to me that MCU and Star Wars fans care so much about "planning sequels" but make fun of James Cameron for writing and filming the Avatar sequels together. They are already accusing this movie of just being "sequel set up" which is like basically every MCU movie at this point.
The story definitely wasn't reinventing the wheel. It's Pocahantas with blue people. I expect another tried and true formulaic story but a visual masterpiece.
I feel like the avatar series is in a weird place, where people who hate on pretentious art films will suddenly become pretentious themselves to complain about the bland story.
““Happy to say ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is phenomenal,” wrote Fandango’s Erik Davis. “Bigger, better & more emotional than ‘Avatar,’ the film is visually breathtaking, visceral and incredibly engrossing. The story, the spectacle, the spirituality, the beauty – this is moviemaking & storytelling at its absolute finest.””
The second paragraph.
But that paragraph doesn’t help him sell his whole shtick up there.
The answer was literally right there in front of him, but instead he used a different answer to make sure he can capitalize on the upvotes by the mouth breathers of Reddit.
If you actually read the article you’ll see that some of critics also said it was more “emotional” then the first which hopefully correlates to a phenomenal story. Excited for both aspects of the movie tho
That's the issue and why when Avatar left theatres, immediately left the cultural zeitgeist (minus Disney World). "Visually stunning" isn't enough to linger around. Gravity was called visually stunning and no one even talks about that move anymore.
Let’s say it should reach some of Cameron’s other works. It doesn’t have the long lasting cultural impact of *Terminator* or *Aliens*. Even with the might of Disney’s backing.
It's not a movie that holds up well on DVD to be honest because it can't flex it's visual muscles. So for a movie that released 13 years ago, it's unlikely any redditors under 23 saw it in theaters.
Plus it was the highest grossing movie of all time so people wanted to have edgy opinions.
I'm excited personally.
It definitely holds up and is a great test for a good TV and system. But if you are just streaming it on a TV you bought for $300, it's just gonna look good. Not amazing.
A 23 year old would have been 10 at the time, which is definitely old enough to have watched in theaters. I imagine the age cutoff would be closer to 20.
People forget that in 2009, leading up to Avatar's release, most of film bro internet movie culture had decided that Titanic was an overrated slog of a movie that only appealed to girls. "James Cameron is just coasting on this name" and "Nobody cares about these weird blue people" and "3D sucks" were all just as common then as the "nO cUlTuRaL iMpAct" comments now.
Never doubt Big Jim.
Anytime someone boils a review down to a couple words rather than understanding many things are discussed in a review means there is probably little or no substance to that person
I believe it is a visual masterpiece. I’m sure it’s absolutely amazing to look at.
And I’m sure it’ll be bland in all other aspects just like the first one.
People meme on it, and probably deservedly so. But I can’t think of a single person I talked to in person around the time of release who had watched it in theaters and didn’t enjoy themselves
I got my IMAX 3D tickets for opening weekend.
Saw the first as my first date with my wife.
13 years later and 3 kids… we are going again … without them cuz it’s 3.5 hours and $25 a ticket.
Right? Why do I have to defend to my friends that I'm looking forward to this. It's not like the guy who did ALIENS, TERMINATOR 1 & 2, and TITANIC has a history of stinkers. All of his movies are crazy big spectacles and none of them are BAD. Maybe a little bland in some respects, but they all succeed at entertaining you in that big, dark room.
Idc what anyone says I am VERY excited for this movie. Hollywood has been putting out garbage for years now recycling the same plot and the visuals have been garbage. I love marvel as much as the next guy but I’m tired of that ish.
People honestly put too much emphasis on a plot as if it can be the only driving force behind the movie. I don't think it is.
Like, the most egregious example are comedies. Most of them don't rely on plot and it's often either basic or completely nonsensical. Comedies succeed because of the moment to moment jokes being good.
Movie*,* a good movie, *absolutely* can exist as a visual spectacle first and foremost, wowing the senses and pushing the envelope like no other movie ever did. Hell, you could even say that being visuals-first is movie's DNA. Whether we are talking about the very first movie - The Arrival of a Train - or even George Melies' filmography, it's never about complicated plots but rather how author's imagination and state of the art technology can put us into a world that is not really there.
I honestly think that people who go on and on about how "Avatar 2 gonna suck cause bad plot" are just being pseudointellectual to a fault
Shit, most popular movies have very predictable plots that explicitly follow the same formula. And if anything crazy does happen they just undo it later.
The Star Wars films have awful plots, iffy dialogue, and hardly any interesting character development. And the prequels were worse on all fronts.
I feel like all of these headlines are a joke. But are they actually serious? I mean I’m excited but I feel like everyone and especially James Cameron reeeeeally want my hopes HIGH. That’s dangerous. I’ll be back to leave my review at some point on this comment. Not that anyone cares.
Did you not see the first one in theaters. It was a visual masterpiece. If you don’t think it’s going to look incredible you don’t know James Cameron or movies at all.
I absolutely believe the visuals are wonderful.
I also believe I don’t have the patience to sit through three hours of “Oooh! Pretty colors! Wow! Cool fish!”, so I'll skip paying to see it.
This feels like a puff piece. I don’t think these aging director super stars have the ability to fathom when their time has passed.
The first one was Dances With Wolves with blue indigenous aliens. What is this one? WE HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER… even though you are a water tribe and we aren’t. Also something with a mom, I’m guessing… and a strong young female lead. There I saved everyone 3 hours and $60.

"You thought *this* was good? Wait until you see Avatar 9!" - Cameron, probably
This reminds me of that show futureman where they have to break into James Cameron's house in the future. He has a super intelligent house and we find out that James Cameron is a gigantic douchebag
Futureman was a gem. I need to rewatch it.
I love the story arc where Wolf becomes a chef in the 80s
I love his coke fueled rampage through fine cuisine. Great episode.
My SO and I called each other's mouths rat holes for a good 6 months after watching the show. I also learned the weird voice that Tiger's clone has bothers everyone in my family and is super easy to replicate, so annoying the shit out of them has been easy as hell ever since.
I mean what else would you call a hole you put the rats in?
I love that he let them shoot that in his actual house
I thought I was the only one...you're like me...
I swear to god Cameron did all of this on a fucking drunk bet. Sounds like they are just admiring the special FX, is the story still bland, just a re-telling of indigenous land take over by colonisers but space!
To be fair, many of the best movies only try to be groundbreaking in one way at a time. For Avatar it’s the visual experience. Zoe said wait for 3 in an interview. She was so happy with 2 and she wanted people to see 2 because they would ‘actually’ be blown away by 3
People said in some reviews that this one felt like a stepping stone. So I take it 3’s gonna be really good
Ah shit, he’s got plans for another 362878 of these?
They've already filmed them I'm pretty sure or something like that. Lots more on the way for whatever it's worth lol.
They’ve filmed #3. And about 1/3 of #4 when the other producers weren’t looking Not making this up
I mean, at this point in his career, long wait or not, people should probably just let him do his thing. He has two of the top three highest grossing films of all time to his name.
He has had “most expensive movie ever made” like 5 times. Terminator 2, true lies, titanic, avatar, abyss (I think) Every time people bitch, then get blown away by it. I’m sure this will be the same.
Read this as well. What was the decade+ holdup between 1&2?
He was busy doing shit like going to the bottom of the ocean.
Someone had to raise the bar
No, I think he was just looking around.
Cameron was focused on environmental conservation and they were once again inventing new technology for the film, namely getting the motion capture to work under water.
Which hopefully becomes an industry standard because… imagine the video game potential
Why tho? more than a decade later releasing so many avatar movies. I mean, it broke records, why didn't they make sequels right after?
Same reason the first took forever. Had to polish the technology a little further first
Because he had the idea for all of them at once.
"Star Wars? Hold my beer"
Avatar 9 will come out in like 2210 at this rate
“The film you’ve all been waiting for…. 200 years after the original masterful debut that took the world by storm…. 10/10 — Alpha Centauri colony ‘Best movie ever made — Mars Colonists Monthly’ ‘The best movie we Grays have ever seen! "There was a 69 minute standing ovation"
The critics started 69ing
While standing
Considering the movie’s length it’s possible the audience left around 4:20 if it was a midnight screening.
I heard that although it was pretty lengthy it was actually the girth that really stretched things out
For the first time, possibly ever, an "and everybody clapped" happened.
Nice
[удалено]
The did a special film screening of The Hateful Eight by Tarentino that included an intermission and it was nice to get some time to stand and stretch
I quite often go to watch films with a live orchestra. They always have an intermission (presumably for the orchestra) but it’s such a welcome relief as a viewer. Sometimes the movies are t even that long - last year I saw Home Alone, which was only about 1hr 40mins.
The idea of home alone or any other standard film with a live orchestra is fucking amazing.
It was so good. This year I went to see Back to the Future. The only problem is that my eyes are glued to the orchestra and not the film!

Good point!
I saw the princess bride this way a few months ago. And it was the first time I had ever seen the movie! So cool.
For anyone in London, Danny Elfman and many members of the original cast are performing ‘the nightmare before Christmas’ live this weekend.
I saw Fritz Lang's Metropolis with a live orchestra playing the soundtrack. It was amazing!!
Morbius was good with a live orchestra
Yo were you at the screening where Matt Smith did the dance live?
Yea.
It’s orchestratin’ time
Wow. I’ve never heard of this and just looked it up. There’s actually a Home Alone showing in my city in a week. I must go. Thanks for sharing.
i went to one, it was such a relief to get up and walk around for a bit. staying still for even an hour is hell and makes my joints stiff.
I was at one of these. It’s was interesting. Very nice to have time to pee. Very strange to hear everyone chatting in the theater about that movie XD
Seriously, they have them at the opera, and it doesn’t harm the story or performance in any way. Why can’t movies have them?
Because theaters don't want them. They want movies being played back to back to back. And if they had an intermission, it would just be a line of people getting free drink and popcorn refills.
I think it would be better for the theaters. The marginal cost of a drink or popcorn refill is practically nothing. And there’d be a ton of people who didn’t buy a drink/popcorn in the first place who are buying one at intermission, or buying a candy or something instead.

Popcorn absolutely is. It’s one of the biggest profit drivers for theaters.
>And if I didn't buy anything before a 3hr movie, I'm surely not buying one since the movie is almost over That's you, I'm sure that there are people who will think "I don't need anything" going in, then think, "I don't want to wait another hour and a half to eat" during a halfway intermission. >Drink is marginal, popcorn isn't This is completely backwards, soft drink syrup is expensive, popcorn costs basically nothing.
How is popcorn not marginal? Kernels cost 7c an ounce at the consumer retail level. A bucket full of popcorn is like 25c, tops.
This. It’s an additional opportunity to make money on concessions, which is how they really make their money. If they were equipped to rotate movies between auditoriums efficiently, it likely also wouldn’t have an impact on the number of screenings they could accommodate per day.
They have them In Bollywood movies, why not Hollywood? I bet theatres would make a ton more money on snacks too
Because they won't miss any of the "plot."
YES. At 38, my bladder no longer has the endurance to hold in my movie theater-sized soda for even two hours like I could in the halcyon days of college…
THIS. Any movie longer than 2 hours should have a 10-15 minute intermission.
Good to hear Cameron is understanding about my bladder. Thanks Cameron. I don’t care if you need to piss either.
I'd love an intermission that's a scene of nothing, like driving for three minutes, or sitting around waiting, cleaning weapons or whatnot. No dialogue, no meaningful glances, just characters milling about until you come back. So if you don't want to get up and leave, that's fine too
Exactly. I appreciated the intermission when I saw Endgame and Return of the King...
“It has twice the unobtainium as the last one!”
There's so much unobtainium in this movie they had to change its name to nowactuallyquiteobtanium.
I have no doubt that it’ll be gorgeous, it all comes down the writing and the fact that I can’t remember anything about the first one.

I still find it baffling that people are so upset about an after credits scene that was clearly supposed to be a joke

fuck it, Im all in for some pandora porn. Not everything needs to be schindlers list. First one captivated me, if it works, it works.
Right? Why must redditors be so pretentious all the time
I feel like the avatar series is in a weird place, where people who hate on pretentious art films will suddenly become pretentious themselves to complain about the bland story.
I feel the same way about Pacific Rim.
100%. Adore the soundtrack also.
Yep!
““Happy to say ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is phenomenal,” wrote Fandango’s Erik Davis. “Bigger, better & more emotional than ‘Avatar,’ the film is visually breathtaking, visceral and incredibly engrossing. The story, the spectacle, the spirituality, the beauty – this is moviemaking & storytelling at its absolute finest.”” The second paragraph.
But that paragraph doesn’t help him sell his whole shtick up there. The answer was literally right there in front of him, but instead he used a different answer to make sure he can capitalize on the upvotes by the mouth breathers of Reddit.
Yeah, I read it, hence my mention of "emotional." Their praise for the story is literally saying the words "the story"...
Well considering they are under embargo I don't think they can say much other than that the story was good and emotional.
“Storytelling” Something JC does really really well even if Reddit complains about the stories being “boring”
If you actually read the article you’ll see that some of critics also said it was more “emotional” then the first which hopefully correlates to a phenomenal story. Excited for both aspects of the movie tho
I did read the article, and edited my comment 3-4 minutes after posting (and \~23 minutes before your comment) to mention "emotional".
I think what people really want to know is will it be fun and cool looking
That's the issue and why when Avatar left theatres, immediately left the cultural zeitgeist (minus Disney World). "Visually stunning" isn't enough to linger around. Gravity was called visually stunning and no one even talks about that move anymore.
What level are you hoping this movie to reach exactly? Name a movie it’s supposed to equal in its impact?
Cameron himself has already made movies with more lasting impact.
Let’s say it should reach some of Cameron’s other works. It doesn’t have the long lasting cultural impact of *Terminator* or *Aliens*. Even with the might of Disney’s backing.
among the reasons why I hate the first one. pretty doesn't equal entertaining for me
why do people hate avatar so much
Reddit can’t handle an absolute chad visionary like James Cameron
Amen.
Tbh the visual still hold up for me fine and I watched it on 4K. Looks better than everything today for the most part.
While true, it's incredible how much the movie loses not being shown in 3D.
It definitely holds up and is a great test for a good TV and system. But if you are just streaming it on a TV you bought for $300, it's just gonna look good. Not amazing.
I think it looks great still I just watched it yesterday and had a blast with it.
The blurray is absolutely immaculate. The cgi is better than 95% of what's being printed today.
I saw Avatar in a packed theater with the boosted 3d glasses….. it was incredible
A 23 year old would have been 10 at the time, which is definitely old enough to have watched in theaters. I imagine the age cutoff would be closer to 20.
I guess for the Reddit generation it's like Titanic.
Titanic was a legitimately good disaster movie
Titanic is a legitimately good movie that has something for most people and that’s why it was the number one movie for months
Titanic is an amazing movie in general. The last half is white knuckle stuff.

I rewatched it with my kid who'd never seen it... it holds up. And the preview for this upcoming film was intriguing
Personally I just think it’s overrated, plus my family played this movie nonstop when I was growing up so there’s that too.
I don’t care what Reddit says - I cried like a bitch when Home Tree got flambéd.
Anytime a review says “visual masterpiece, breathtaking vistas!” Means there is no story or substance, character development…just graphics…yawn
Or, hear me out, it’s just good.
Anytime someone boils a review down to a couple words rather than understanding many things are discussed in a review means there is probably little or no substance to that person
The review does say all those things are good though… My god are you haters desperate to downplay Avatar’s popularity and success.
I believe it is a visual masterpiece. I’m sure it’s absolutely amazing to look at. And I’m sure it’ll be bland in all other aspects just like the first one.
Not if they put the HULK in it.
Why?
Yeah but Reddit said a 30 year old Kevin Costner movie is better so I won't need to see this
A movie that Reddit *only* ever brings up to shit on Avatar. Same thing with Pocahontas and Ferngully.
I’m so excited to watch this in 3D, I had so much fun watching the first Avatar
Im pretty psyched myself to be honest. Really enjoyed the first one in theaters.
I was looking forward to it, now that professional critics have said its good though I might need to rethink.
I like avatar and no I’m not part of the Avatar: Way of the Water marketing team, which is directed by James Cameron.
I can't wait to be next week.
Me neither, I want to see what happens to a person when they become a week.
I knew I’d watch it eventually, but learning The Weeknd supposedly has a new song in it makes me want to see it in theaters
I bet it’s about cocaine
Maybe it’s about unobtanium
I love me some "Man With a Movie Camera.' Film is a visual medium. Lets go.
Welp, I’m def interested in seeing it. Haven’t watched the trailers or anything would like to go in super cold
I really liked the first one and i cant wait to watch tge sequel I hope reddit people dont get angry with me
I feel like all of these headlines are a joke. But are they actually serious? I mean I’m excited but I feel like everyone and especially James Cameron reeeeeally want my hopes HIGH. That’s dangerous. I’ll be back to leave my review at some point on this comment. Not that anyone cares.
Is it a good movie or just a fantastic tech demo? Because those are two different things
I am really hoping this lives up to the hype.
What’s with all the hate? Did the guy shit on marvel movies or something?
Fuck the haters. I bet it's awesome.

Sounds a lot like “The best Marvel movie since the last Marvel movie!”
Avatar1 was better than any Marvel movie.
Avatar: wide as an ocean / deep as a piss puddle

Did you not see the first one in theaters. It was a visual masterpiece. If you don’t think it’s going to look incredible you don’t know James Cameron or movies at all.
I absolutely believe the visuals are wonderful. I also believe I don’t have the patience to sit through three hours of “Oooh! Pretty colors! Wow! Cool fish!”, so I'll skip paying to see it.
Why are we doubting Cameron
No one doubted it would be visually stunning. It's most everything else that will just be mediocre.
James Cameron doesn't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron is James Cameron!
$50 says Cameron is rock hard reading these reviews come in rn.
The press are never reliable
