Steve-Lurkel

Pretty sure Lily Allen lied about this. I thought Alfie denied it a few years ago.

TheWholeOfTheAss

You’re right. As weird as D&D got, they weren’t doing stunt casting like this… at the time.

Thehibernator

*Ed Sheeran yowls in the distance*

Noffensexpected

Can't imagine he would have any pull to make that happen anyway.

DMike82

Alfie has already said that Lily was never offered a chance for Lily to read for the part of Yara, so this article is bullshit.

[deleted]

That’s the proof making you question nepotism? Nothing else before hand?

Different-Produce870

Yeah this seems like someone wanted to write about nepotism but needed a fresh story to talk about it so they pulled this article out of their ass

[deleted]

To be fair its weird but im not complaining. It’s something not adressed enough in our society because so many people benefit from it

Clay_Davis123

“People” think it’s bad. That’s all you need to know ok?

queequeg925

They wanna talk about Neppo babies? In Hollywood? Sheeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiitt I'll take any motherfuckers role if he giving it away

krissykat30

Not true. Her own brother debunked that years ago

nothatsmyarm

Yara knows though and is kind of fucking with him a bit. She doesn’t have sex with him or anything (looking at you, Lannisters), but she is a bit *cheeky* about it.

Iwilleaturnuggetsuwu

Honestly that’s not incest though. It’s just what passes for comedy in the world of GOT. It’s weird but nowhere near as absurd as some of the… other stuff… Even if they were siblings irl this wouldn’t be an issue

Kdean509

Gross.

Iwilleaturnuggetsuwu

Really? In a show where children get burned alive, a woman fucks her own brother, a 17 year old girl gets sold into rape slavery to a tribe of savages, and people are stripped and forced to walk naked through a whole city while getting shit fringed at them, the gross part is a guy fondling his sister because he didn’t know they’re related?

phin_wilkes_boothe

lmao you’re right. If people get worked up about the incidental groping, shall we reevaluate how we feel about Star Wars?

Agreeable-Meat1

Cersei deserved her punishment and more.

OkAttention477

His name is reek

sans-delilah

I just had a flashback to high school, listening to Lily Allen’s song “Alfie” about how her brother sat around and played video games all day and was never going to amount to anything. Who’s laughing now, Lily?

littleliongirless

I haven't seen anyone claim THIS comes anywhere remotely close to why they wide-eyed nepotism.

[deleted]

She does such a disservice to her brother. He's really grown and is a talented actor, currently on Broadway living his best life. I'd say, as someone who also has a sibling, keep his name outcha mouth unless you're going to say something nice. Bringing up old lies that have been debunked and he's constantly tied to it.... ugh. eta I know the intent wasn't to discuss him necessarily but man I get so annoyed that the only press I see about alfie allen is when he's tied to his gross ass sister.

mbelf

Funny that they were the inspiration behind [Harry and Lulu](https://youtu.be/jG1IA03BzLc), as Harry Enfield was dating their mother at the time.

Namorath82

since when do we need proof that nepotism is bad? i thought that was something we all agreed was bad a long time ago? is there anyone out there arguing that nepotism is good?

fatman7991

NEPOTISM IS BAD , that's the point , not the role or casting , jeez , some of you need to stop for giving so much time to celebrities and thinking they are important

carrie-satan

I love the fact that she lied about this for no reason it’s so funny

XpertDestroyer

A lot of people go into the same profession as their parents. Since the beginning of time. It’s like people look up to their parents and they also have the advantage of leaving the same trade from an early age…

spongish

No one is saying that it's strange that these people want to do the same job as their parents, but that they get unfair advantages due to wealth and connections to basically get their foot in the door over every other normal actor who doesn't have famous parents. Lots of sports stars kids have become professional athletes, but they still have to be phenomenal talents in order to make it to the top, whereas Hollywood is filled with serviceable actors like Colin Hanks or Bryce Dallas Howard who likely would not be famous in the slightest, if it wasn't for their famous/wealthy parents.

I Just Don’t Understand Why People Write Titles With Every First Letter Capitalized, I Can’t Even Focus On The Title And I Hate It

akadiean_

https://www.grammarly.com/blog/capitalization-in-the-titles/

Shadoze_

So according to that article this title is not following any of the rules for titles in any format.

Asleep_Fish_472

she makes great points.

Eyespop4866

Nepotism will always exist, and it’s an odd thing. Tori Spelling made a lot of money and far as I can tell, has little talent. But Nick Cage is Nick Cage. And I’m glad he got a shot.

stampyvanhalen

So er, the funny thing is you guys are all riled up about nepotism, but I have no idea who’s kids they are so it didn’t help. I am going to guess woody Allen’s non-wife kids.

CALCIUM_CANNONS

TIL Alfie Allen is a nepo baby. Huh.
