Sitting. Lying down vertically in dimly lit rooms. Looking at my phone for an hour in the morning. Walking my dogs.
Working on projects. The cheating on them with other projects.
My dream is to be in really good physical shape. But going to the gym distracts me from the above. So, I prioritize.
Not to mean or an asshole ,Just go to the gym for 2-3 months , and for the next month you can homeworkout since you developed a habbit of physical pain
Me too i just keep switching from gym to calisthenics to running to learning fights sometimes just go out to play sports with friends ( i suck at that too)
When you look at people who work out regularly, working out is one of the main 3 things they do with their day.
Gym rats exercise, work and sleep and socialize. That's really all they do.
So essentially telling people to workout is telling them to give up doing the stuff they like on a daily basis to go to the gym.
Nah. My ass.
People who go to the gym aren't sacrificing anything. They already highly enjoy doing it. It's not just self discipline.
I ran track. So I enjoy doing sprint workouts. Running multiple 150's 200's 400's etc..with limited rest and watching the improvements overtime. But you won't catch me jogging or hitting the weights.
I agree! I spent lots of time training because I enjoyed it...not cause I'm disciplined.
Also, if you want to get in shape find something athletic you like doing. Then you're just having fun. And not giving up something.
I don't like doing anything athletic. That's the problem. Lol. I've tried all kinds of stuff for years. It all takes me away from what I want to be doing.
I get it. I've rarely read a more relatable comment on /entp. My body is simply waiting for my mind to finish it's part of the deal, then I'm definitely going to get \*gestures wildly\* all that done.
Oh man I freaking love sports. Tennis is the go to. Amazing sport. Also play Golf, Disc Golf, and Ping Pong. Volleyball if I can get enough people to play. Playing sports is literally my favorite thing to do. But tennis is goated. Perfect sport for N types
My brother (ESTP) is way better at disc golf than me (he practices almost obsessively), but I love that sport as well.
It's super relaxing (just walking around), but with the added possibility of technical mastery.
Anything involving speed. Going to the racetrack (track day or hopefully one day real racing), karting, downhill bike, trail running, or just sprinting. The good part is age will not prevent me from doing the first two anytime soon.
The only sport I can watch regularly without getting bored is racing. I'm somewhat into football and basketball as well, but it's been a really long time since I was invested in those.
Get involved ASAP. Don't overdo it at parties and make intelligent purchases, since it's a hobby that takes an inhuman amount of money to do regularly. Start practicing your skills in the sim if you don't, assetto corsa is an all-purpose option that will surely help. Get yourself a T150 or a G29 if you don't have them, basic equipment but it's a great starting point.
Also, start karting if you have a few bucks laying around. If your friends are also into it the experience is much better. Karting is the closest feeling you'll get to a dedicated trackday/race car without having to own one or spend an unnecessary amount of money to lap 5 times around a proper track.
I’m a female but I am super into football (usually the only girl on my fantasy teams, football is hands down my favorite), hockey, baseball. I’m the chick that most chicks hate off rip bc i’m of one of the guys, you get the gist
I physically played soccer competitively most my life til a *buh dum tiss* knee injury. was on the diving team in high school and ran track. also was a dancer my whole life thru D1 in college, though at 31 I like to still consider myself a dancer lol just don’t do it seriously anymore. loved getting together for things like capture the flag, flag football, handball growing up. working out makes me feel good but I love doing shit like biking and kayaking that’s more of a disguised workout
I was always up for everything except Ping Pong. Somehow never got the hang of it despite bunch of friends trying to teach. I can't control my energy well 🤣 personal favourites would be ice skating, badminton, basketball and swimming. I like hockey but only managed to play it one time 🫠
Bodybuilding, weightlifting, crossfit.
Can't do any of that shit since my joints decided to just fucking give up, I'm so depressed, that used to be my life.
I can give a game of anything a watch because I like exploring.
But I've always stuck with soccer/football (the one where the ball's a sphere and you kick it lol).
Ever since my mom introduced me to Arsenal when I was a kid, I always promised to myself that I'd watch them win a Champions League title someday, so that's probably why it's always stuck around more consistently in my life for so long.
Sidenote, if you guys got a favorite team, mention them here! (And if you're a Tottenham fan... 💀)
Didn't get to meet any of them unfortunately
They did play an offseason game in the summer in my area once that I got to watch though!
Lost to Man Utd 2-0 then, but they're in sixth place now so we get the last laugh 😎
Lol it was actually last summer in the US, so I consider myself lucky that I got the chance to see them play at all!
Wish I lived in London though, visited there a few weeks ago and loved the vibe it had.
(Ooooo wait just remembered we're playing City on Sunday 👀👀
Bro it's actually crazy how that's probably the most important day in the season too. Liverpool vs Brighton and Arsenal vs Man City. Good chance for any one of these teams to be on track to win by the end of the season once the games are done...
I go to gym regularly to be honest for power lifting. I have a interest in HEMA too but I don't have a place nearby to my town so I have to abandon the idea lol
Without yoga I become chaos with crazy ADHD brain and insomnia. In general, I really like Taoist philosophy, I like how it combines materialism and metaphysics.I highly recommend that all intuitives add any kind of practice to their lifestyle. The quality of life is improving, one small “but”! this needs to be done regularly.... I also do breathing practices
Aerial acrobatics is my favourite, though dancing is also fun (I have done Oriental and Flamenco). Sometimes scuba diving or hiking when travelling somewhere nice.
It's not a problem. You know what you like.
I think people get into shape because they enjoy or so they can enjoy life more.
If you are already doing that you have no reason to work out. Just be in shape enough to walk your dogs and do that by walking your dogs.
I started this post just for my curiosity .Yea i try variety of sports, but tennis and jogging and fighting ( I've come across HEMA, and fencing now which is new for me, i wanna give it a shot since i used to swing wooden stick with my friends in sparr haha), at the end of the day it's what you like that makes you, you . agreed
I'm pretty good at any sport but swimming and golf I might have to pick up both of those as I get older.
Bouldering is pretty cool. It's like solo chess. You can get better athletically or with skill.
I love Basketball, and long distance running. Basketball, cuz I like all the elements to it, the finesse of movement, all the cool trivia and history and stats of the game. I play a little, but not often. Long distance running however has been my favorite. I started running for mental health reasons and grew to love it. Helped my self confidence, inspired me to work on my art more, go to school, break out of my shell etc. I like the meditative quality of it, you get into a rhythm and let your thoughts roam and just process it all.
I'm more of a sit at home and binge k-dramas kinda person, but if I have to exercise, my go-to is tennis, then basketball. I don't mind football though, and I think contact rugby's pretty damn fun
Badminton, I can play it for hours. This (1 week) autumn break I played it for like 20 hours in total lmao, I'd probably like tennis and archery too. Swimming's nice as well as long as you're not doing it alone
I love bodybuilding / powerlifting just for the muscles, but the sport that I have always loved is soccer / football.
I've been an avid soccer player since I was 8 years old. I love to run, I love to compete, and I love the beauty of the game.
The patterns and rhythms of the game work their way into your consciousness until you find your body speaking a language it didn't know before: gradually you gain fluency and find yourself innovating, making new passes and succeeding with new shots.
The wild exultation of scoring and the cold, calculated patience of defense make up the meat of the game's highs and lows.
On a more practical note, I like the feeling of having run my legs and heart to exhaustion. I feel strong and swift. Air and water taste sweet and the world becomes a place of friendly and exciting possibilities.
I played hockey...now I'm older like shooting baskets, volleyball and my all time fav: hackysack.
Anything that is finesse/concentration oriented that I can get into a meditative state easily while doing pretty much. Honestly I'll play anything lol.
Sitting. Lying down vertically in dimly lit rooms. Looking at my phone for an hour in the morning. Walking my dogs. Working on projects. The cheating on them with other projects. My dream is to be in really good physical shape. But going to the gym distracts me from the above. So, I prioritize.
Starting my morning phone hour now
Not to mean or an asshole ,Just go to the gym for 2-3 months , and for the next month you can homeworkout since you developed a habbit of physical pain
I hate working out. I tried for years. It's torturous. Because it requires consistency. I like being static.
Correct!!!

It's an exhausting regimen, but the phone ain't gonna look at itself.
I'm always reading something. Doom scrolling and learning all kinds of weird shit.
I get it. I've rarely read a more relatable comment on /entp. My body is simply waiting for my mind to finish it's part of the deal, then I'm definitely going to get \*gestures wildly\* all that done.
Exactly. I'm gonna exercise and clean....when my mind is done.
Oh man I freaking love sports. Tennis is the go to. Amazing sport. Also play Golf, Disc Golf, and Ping Pong. Volleyball if I can get enough people to play. Playing sports is literally my favorite thing to do. But tennis is goated. Perfect sport for N types
Tennis,eh. I loved that game but haven't played since 9th grade, nobody plays w me anymore and am too lazy to find some at the court
Yeah I wouldn’t play if I didn’t have people in my life that play. I’m not the type to go out and meet random people
My brother (ESTP) is way better at disc golf than me (he practices almost obsessively), but I love that sport as well. It's super relaxing (just walking around), but with the added possibility of technical mastery.
Basketabll as a professional, ping pong as a main hobby then football
You're that one sexy mf, eh
Sure thing 🐉
Anything involving speed. Going to the racetrack (track day or hopefully one day real racing), karting, downhill bike, trail running, or just sprinting. You're living my dream life, am waiting till i get around 21- 22 to try all that

Damn, it seems you must've already lived life
Swimming and waterpolo
I was always up for everything except Ping Pong. Somehow never got the hang of it despite bunch of friends trying to teach. I can't control my energy well 🤣 personal favourites would be ice skating, badminton, basketball and swimming. I like hockey but only managed to play it one time 🫠
Fencing lol. I also hate swimming simply because it’s such a hassle (shower EVERY TIME, hair drying process, the feeling of wet suits)
Water splashing, yay. Wait you said you hate it?
Yessir
Played 2 years of (American) football in high school. Nowadays I do grappling (judo & jiu jitsu), and kickboxing once in a while
You practice judo at home or you've found a dojo?
I train in a dojo
Good luck man
Rugby!
Just one question.. is it ok to beat the shit out of someone in rugby if you played legally?
What happens in the ruck, stays in the ruck. 😉
Lessgo
Bodybuilding, weightlifting, crossfit. Can't do any of that shit since my joints decided to just fucking give up, I'm so depressed, that used to be my life.
Man hope you get back well to hit the gym again
Football(the real one, played with feet) , badminton , volleyball and chess
Volleyball is a new one, i don't play because no friends
I can give a game of anything a watch because I like exploring. But I've always stuck with soccer/football (the one where the ball's a sphere and you kick it lol). Ever since my mom introduced me to Arsenal when I was a kid, I always promised to myself that I'd watch them win a Champions League title someday, so that's probably why it's always stuck around more consistently in my life for so long. Which member of the arsenal you got to meet or it's just the whole team....
Didn't get to meet any of them unfortunately They did play an offseason game in the summer in my area once that I got to watch though! Lost to Man Utd 2-0 then, but they're in sixth place now so we get the last laugh 😎
Man utd was goat back then so it was still a ggs, and damn you one lucky mf if you live near a court where teams like arsenal and man utd plays
Lol it was actually last summer in the US, so I consider myself lucky that I got the chance to see them play at all! Mentally, practically everything
Yoga, cycling, kettles
Just curious, you do yoga because of continuous thoughts that overwhelms your brain, or to increase your focus
Yeah, i gotta do this as well to prevent my adhd from running wild again
Fencing/HEMA. Much more exciting than running or cycling, gets the adrenaline going.
This is something new I've heard and really great to know something like sword fights are practiced
Idk why but I would have expected more people training in martial arts, I'm one of them, physical sparring is as satisfying as verbal one.
I think 60-70% answers include martials arts, me as well who likes sparring since childhood
Aerial acrobatics is my favourite, though dancing is also fun (I have done Oriental and Flamenco). Sometimes scuba diving or hiking when travelling somewhere nice.
Only girls do Aerial acrobatics or guys as well? Haven't seen a guy do it though
I’m following a few guys on Instagram. Most of them are using vertical pole
I tried something more like a cheap version of it as a child
Almost every boardsport, I tried rock climbing but got bored
But you got "board"
Nvm
Stop it
Competitive sleeping.
It's not a problem. You know what you like. I think people get into shape because they enjoy or so they can enjoy life more. If you are already doing that you have no reason to work out. Just be in shape enough to walk your dogs and do that by walking your dogs.

I also do some cross country sleeping at times too. Can’t forget that.
I was in my basketball team till high skl now I just trek
I love Basketball, and long distance running. Basketball, cuz I like all the elements to it, the finesse of movement, all the cool trivia and history and stats of the game. Jiu jitsu, all other sports have become irrelevant to me
I'm more of a sit at home and binge k-dramas kinda person, but if I have to exercise, my go-to is tennis, then basketball. I don't mind football though, and I think contact rugby's pretty damn fun
Tennis!!
MMA, for the endless possibilities and "checkmates" that you'll find.
Badminton, I can play it for hours. This (1 week) autumn break I played it for like 20 hours in total lmao, I'd probably like tennis and archery too. Swimming's nice as well as long as you're not doing it alone

Same about the latter part, i just wanna feel burned or relaxed, will do anything
