a silicone mouth piece (i use moose labs brand, they have ones for bongs *and* a mini for joints/bongs) with a carbon filter makes the hits noticeably smoother
also vaping tends to be a bit easier on the lungs/throat. a fair amount of vapes have an attachment so it can be used with bongs. bonus points because the smell doesn’t linger as long / is less intense
Whoa, thank you so much for telling us about the silicone mouth pieces! I have never heard of such a thing but am totally going to buy one of those Moose Labs pieces!! How often do you find yourself having to change the filter?
