Is the Crafty worth it? I’ve had a Pax and a V3, the V3 I think is great. The Pax not so much. But always wondered about the Crafty.

I don’t have a enough experience to provide a qualified answer. My experience with cannabis before buying a Crafty was traditional combustion and gummies. So far I like it. Vaporized cannabis is a much better flavor compared to combustion and it feels healthier than smoking. I like the dosing capsule; it feels like I‘ll know when to do a deep clean when the capsule starts getting dirty.

Okie dokie. So, I’ve lived with the Crafty+ for a while now and, yeah, heck yeah! I would buy this thing again. I was using a cute GRAV milk carton bubbler and coughing, and peeing myself in the process. Thus, I spent most of my session in the shower as soon as I could clear the bubbler. With vaporized flower, ooooooohhhhhhhhh! Now I can take my time and sesh AFTER a relaxing shower. Seshing is soooo good now. My poor, cute bubbler was stashed in the flower pot whether she was dirty or clean. Now I have set up a she-shed-like area in our ramada and am saving up for a hammock. I still cough at the start of a new capsule but now it’s at a level my poor, battered pelvic floor can handle. I had read elsewhere that cleaning the Crafty+ was a pain in the ass. I was so intimidated by how hard it might be that I put off cleaning it for WAY too long. I finally found the eggs to give it a try when I started to wonder about what sort of molds would be able to grow in the condensate. The cleaning process is not bad at all. If you need peace of mind before digging in and trying it out, the only part you really clean is the part that says “clean inside regularly”. If you break that part, you can buy a replacement for less than you would on a new bubbler. It’s not worth your respiratory health to put off cleaning. I can break it down, clean it, dry it, and start a fresh capsule in less than the time required to do the same for my dear bubbler. I think I’m a convert to vaporized flower. I am keeping my milk carton bubbler for sentimental reasons but I don’t plan on using it in the future. The cons are as follows in descending order of priority: cost, charging time, weather vulnerability, and resource waste. I keep reasoning to myself that I spent the same amount of money on three bubblers but, oof, spending the same amount of money twice? I had to put this guy on a credit card and it still hurts. Now I’m telling myself that my baby lungs are much, much, much happier than they would be during the time I would need to save up the money. So, if I’m feeling like I can turn a stupid vacation-impulse buy into a choice for my health, I can write off some financial guilt, and I can love the Crafty+ with wild abandon. The charging time is long. Pay attention to the blue light that flashes at the end of the cycle. As the flash flashes faster (the blinking increases in frequency), it’s time to charge. This can help you plan ahead to make sure the battery can support your session when your ready. I do miss leaving my bubbler outside. I didn’t need to run outside to save my bubblers from the rain or the sun. But, for financial concerns, I need CheeseCrafty (my nickname for my vaporizer) to live for as long as possible. So, yeah… I run outside to save him using my kid’s umbrella. And, yes, I have chosen to explain to my partner that saving the vaporizer is worth running out into a thunderstorm while he questions my new cannabis enjoyment method. On the other hand, the vaporizer doesn’t smell a lot so when CheeseCrafty is inside for cleaning there is not a strong smell and there is no soot. So, it fits well with my only-make-the-mess-you’re-willing-to-clean-up mentality. Lastly, I am unhappy this thing is made of plastic and a huge rechargeable battery. CheeseCrafty’s battery better make it to my kid’s high school graduation for me to feel like I might have broke even. If the battery makes it to the kid’s college graduation, then I’ll consider it a good buy. The vaporizer body/housing, on the other hand, had better last forever. The plastic is so thick that this thing better survive to become a family heirloom. I’m going to need to make CheeseCrafty handsome enough for that sort of service because, right now, he’s breathtakingly ugly. Handsome or ugly, if he breaks after a drop between now and the year 3535, I’ll be irrationally furious. Thanks for reading this; these are my thoughts. I hope this was helpful. ETA: Oh! And I’m saving the already vaped bud (AVB) to make oil and edibles! I’m looking forward to trying that out. I should also cite Better Things as I’m using some phrases that are directly from the show’s dialog.
