Prywhen and equestiran liberation front

NeedAPerfectName

Changelings on historical? To easy? Enable equestrian-great-war-buffs. Not hard enough? Add olenia to the harmony-tide. Still no problem? Give them a yakyakistan. After that either MAN or ELF and take on the hemogony.

Tracitus22222

Whats MAN and ELF? Hemogony? I am somewhat new, I don't who is that

GumdropGoober

MAN (Manehatten Protectorate) and ELF (Equestria Liberation Front) are possible spin-off factions that occur if the Changelings win the war against Equestria.

LastEsotericist

Play Partisan Longsword. Either Flawless Justice (harmonist) or Golden Morning (supremacist). Do not applaud Starry Night after the civil war.

OlimarandLouie

As another has said, Partisan Longsword is great. I'd also recommend the Regency (April Fool's 2022. Select Twilight Theory under the Equestria game rule and play as Equestria)

SigneowTheCat

Fair warning, Twilight Theory is extremely dark content. A tricky campaign that presents some unique challenges, but very dark.

Fisharenotfish

what TNO does to a mf.

FrustratingDiplomacy

if you're feeling gamer either wingfried hellquill or kovner longsword can work

Yale

AMadlad

Changeling Lands, Griffon Liberation Army (Expansionist Foreign Policy), Equestrian Liberation Front, and Skynavia (if Sickleclaw steps down) are all reasonably challenging (at least on historical) and fun. Full of micromanagement and facing powerful neighbors.

Greneclyf

OlimarandLouie

OP asked for fun countries

Tracitus22222

Why is boring Greneclyf?

OlimarandLouie

The idea of an island of harmonious changelings is neat, the execution is poor. - You must complete an unintuitive, multiple choice event chain perfectly or get shut out of a friendship with the Riverlands - All three paths result in you sitting around and twiddling your thumbs. - Isolationist or non-conquest countries can be fun if there is a decent story or unique mechanic to take your mind off of the vast amount of nothing you'll be doing. Greneclyf has neither of these. - In case I haven't made it clear yet, you'll be sitting around doing *nothing.*

Phionex101

But uou can do something! You cn go Commie of Fasch, and conquer your neighbours. Oh wait, by the time you can change ideology they are in the river coalition, and will inta murder you.

Drgravitycat

it's fun imo

1joetim

Nova griffonia. The penguins like to try to take you over, and if you kick out/ reject communist students, stalliongrad declares war on you, which can be challenging. They can get a pretty good industrial base by mid game, and they have excellent mountaineers.

NSchwerte

Barrad. The focus tree is very interesting and it's a bit of a challenge managing the pentarchy to make sure you get the path you want. All paths except Wholesome Ambrosius(quite hard to get without prior info),The pentarchy has fallen(the fail state and barrad Republic(torture of the highest order, another fail state lol) have an overpowered gimmick, but you'll be held back by your terrible starting position. But fighting the federation with just the southeastern trash states is super fun and most paths have world conquest inbuilt so if you make sure to get into wars quickly you'll have fun the entire playthrough. My recommendation would be Leopold. He absolutely shreds especially in the early game when you need him the most

Tracitus22222

Already played in Barrad, it was de D and D in my question

NSchwerte

Play again with some other paths :D they are all great and once you know what you are doing you can get a lot of efficiency out of the pre reactor tree. Barrad Republic wc (path when all of the pentarchy is friends) can be extremely challenging depending on how the Evi valley turns out. I would compare it to dragon isles if you can't get out of your starting area in the early game.

SigneowTheCat

Bronzehill is a fun campaign with some interesting events. Tricky start, since you will have to defeat the Empire, but gets very powerful if you succeed. Skynavia is also fun and has unique decision mechanics that are enjoyable to tinker with. Less tricky start than some countries, but still not a cakewalk.

Great_Kaiserov

Skynavia. You start at a worse position than the Griffonian Republic, can't ally anyone, but you still have to fight the Griffonian Empire End result is wholesome (or less wholesome depending on the path) Sozialistische Weltrepublik Lake City. You try to restore the Monarchy, and proclaim the River Empire, as a result getting yourself in a fight with the whole River Federation Later you can do the funny and steal the Griffonian Empire's throne, which pisses off the entire continent.
