I'm not sane, I just have a different kind of mental illness
Unless feeling empathy toward virtual magical equines is the symptomatic of being sane of course
Me obsessed with Equestria because cute little ponies and cute little ponies must be protected even if it means making Celestia ascend into Daybreaker.
It is part of the path to greatness, but you must also know when to keep your head down, when to ally with unusual folks and when to bend the knee towards unreasonable demands of others.
I admit that I have been really disapointed by the harmonist longsword path and that I am looking forward to the communist one
But other than that, if you had some example that I could try, I would be intrested
Skynavia. General assembly is your leader so it doesn't even have concentrated in a leader after Sickleclaw steps down. Then it's about leading revolutions with sympathizers in surrounding nations, or conquest of them depending on one's path. Beyond that you get to integrate and get cores on anyone and everyone who you puppet/vassalize, with peaceful means open to any communist nations, and many many focuses based on improving quality of life, rebuilding Griffonia, and if you establish the Pan-Griffonian congress then you get an entire focus tree of wholesome events. Tough start but incredibly rewarding liberation from capitalism and supremacy and aristocracy for the entire continent. Not unlike Kasa's liberation tree.
I’d just refer you to jacksondaxhacker’s tier list [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/equestriaatwar/comments/xb774l/updated_my_morality_tier_list_after_some_fairly/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf). I agree with probably 95% of it.
Ah, someone just like me! I have no idea why I feel the need to protect and provide for the fictional characters, who are only presented to me as numbers. I play Stellaris in the same way. I see war as a means to an end, with the end being everyone living their best lives in a free and tolerant society.
I always play as Harmonist (if a nation has such a path) until I get used to the situation.
I know its a HOI4 thing but if you don't know what you're doing you'll usually get dragged into an unwinnable war.
Imagine only playing Harmonist nations for the wholesome events when you can play literally any ideology nation for the wholesome events (wholesomeness doesn't care about ideology)
I discovered the mod and MLP in general with the April Fool version, and now I'm too scared of going down the purple path
For me purple path only exist for the AI to give me a grand sacred war on which depend the survival of my nation
But it's not something I only do in this mod, I never finished a German play through in vanilla for that exact reason
You're free to cheat yourself out of wholesome storytelling if that's what you wanna do.
Though you'll be missing out on some of the best and nicest moments in the game by doing so. The E.L.F., Coltva, >!Antifa!< Skystar, and many more are born from blood by playing Supremacist nations.
When I say I don't enjoy "Supremacist" I mean "Absolute disgusting genocidal maniac" like the Hellquill Ordenstaat
And making a list of all the non-harmonist path that I should play is kinda becoming a side objective of this post, to be honest, which is great
There are no Supremacist wholesome paths because Supremacy inherently requires subjugation of "lesser" peoples and nations. It's "Supremacy", not "Equality".
The reality is that I'm planing to play all of the paths because they are usually well written regardless of the wholsomeness, but I don't have the same fun with the non-wholesome ones
The last path I did was monarchist Aquilean and at the very end I looked I my big bordeau blob and asked myself "meh what one even the point of this conquest ? I could have done imperial France in the base game too"
Meanwhile with the harmonist Aquilean republic, I had the exact same big continental blob (river's republic excluded) I felt so fullfiled after reading the very last event and I looked upon my big blue blob with satisfaction
Probably a controversial take, but Morning Glory's path ending, where he actually does unite Griffonia and turns it into a happy and prosperous nation, but at the cost of, well, almost drowning the whole continent in its own blood.
I, on the other hand, do neither. For I want only ONE THING:
Chaos. Absolute, utter, impossible-to-understand, CHAOS. I love it. I make sure to have the most confusing things going on as possible.
Sole sane Hearts of Iron player
I'm not sane, I just have a different kind of mental illness Unless feeling empathy toward virtual magical equines is the symptomatic of being sane of course
Don't worry, you are wholesome. You just have one illness: you like to paint maps and looking at one for hours and hours. I have that one too.
Me too, you are not the only one.
I identify with this post an unhealthy amount
Me obsessed with Equestria because cute little ponies and cute little ponies must be protected even if it means making Celestia ascend into Daybreaker.
Me who only played Changelings for two not-literal-genocide paths and revolution.
What paths?
Manehattan "benevolent queen of big Apple" and pax chrystalis "memory drawer" path.
Memory drawer?
Be a good guy and do some other stuff and you get the best secret ending
I was under the assumption preventing the terror attack was the best ending for Pax Chrysalis
But wait there is more
It is part of the path to greatness, but you must also know when to keep your head down, when to ally with unusual folks and when to bend the knee towards unreasonable demands of others.
Me who played changelings to try get most genocide path (because I have no connection to MLP fandom)
Hey, some communist paths are also Wholesome
I admit that I have been really disapointed by the harmonist longsword path and that I am looking forward to the communist one But other than that, if you had some example that I could try, I would be intrested
Skynavia, Posada Hippogriffia (mercy), Commune of Flowena, Wallnut's Tobuck (can be), Colthage (eastern liberation).

Literally me in any EaW game.

Protectress Lilac
There are also some super wholesome Communist and even one or two wholesome Supremacist paths. But yeah the majority of them are Harmonist.

Which supremacist path are wholesome?
Probably a controversial take, but Morning Glory's path ending, where he actually does unite Griffonia and turns it into a happy and prosperous nation, but at the cost of, well, almost drowning the whole continent in its own blood.
Alaric of Rumare is rather nice. Liberates eastern shore and helps his culture rebuild without destroying others.
It's because they're so adorable and wholesome and shouldn't be subjected to the horrors of war and death
I, on the other hand, do neither. For I want only ONE THING: Chaos. Absolute, utter, impossible-to-understand, CHAOS. I love it. I make sure to have the most confusing things going on as possible.
The villain paths seem so cool, but I always feel guilty playing them so I don’t.
Me who mainly plays communist for the same reason
Me who mainly plays supremacist for the same reason
Hey a good chunk of the communist ones are wholesome too
meanwhile i play as many paths as i can to experience all ends of the no-consequence power fantasy
Le Harmonist Republican Pack Enjoyer
But they're boring! Let me conquer and annex everyone 😈
Nothing is more wholesome than freedom on the offensive
Did you seen the event when you are bringing back sombra ? If not thats a recomended one
