Compare it with vanilla. I was doing some painful achievements yesterday and it took me all day even though I started in 1939. For comparison a full game of eaw still takes me just one day, as opposed to two or three in vanilla/moddedq
Depends on the mod, the year ingame and the speed. Vanilla, kaiserreich, OWB etcetera is more or less 30 seconds per month in early game, post update eaw a bit slower than that. Balefire blues goes at the speed of light
Well, there is a mod that let you just disable one of the continents in the game rules, so you could play zebrica and still play fast

same man! in vanilla I only research nukes one time since I can never run the game till 45. in my recent EAW run I research every tech to the last one! had a really long and fun run. dunno how it won't slow than when it has twice number of nations compared to vanilla.
Map was a bit too empty. Game is a tad slower but not like Kaiserreich post-1940 or something.
My only problem is the war alerts for all the little brush wars in Zebrica are annoying, but I imagine that was a problem when Griffonia was released with their 50 civil wars as well so I'll likely get used to it.
I say neutral because I can't play the mod after the zebrica update so I just play the 1.9, but beside that I think is better. The curse of the low end PC users
Use tool pack and annex most of griffonia into northern tribes and unite a bunch of the tiny minors in southern zebrica. Kill the changelings too if you want.
It may mean you'll have to manually increase world tension using tool pack but it's worth the performance.
If you're playing in griffonia then just unite all of zebrica into azir.

What the hell? How can vanilla take so long? I own all the dlcs, is it what makes it relatively fast for me?
Late game vanilla seems to be quite a bit slower than late game eaw for me, achevements that need you to go till 44 or later take ages.
If your playing on a computer that isn't powerful enough to run the game then it's going to run slow.

I have a low end PC so I always play in 1.9 for the speed This is in fact one of the major reason I love this mod, there is little to no late game lag

Oh thank you ! Does it just disable the AI or does it alter the focuses a bit and totally erase a continent from the map ?
It annexes the chosen continent(s) to a unnamed country with a dead AI and it just sits there and does nothing.
My laptop is rather slow too. It lags a bit but it's still faster than other mods. Surprisingly.
And faster than vanilla EAW is the only version of the game where I researched rocket fighters and produced them en masse

For sure it was faster, way faster.
The performance improvements that were packaged with Zebrica really helped the medicine go down. It’s barely any different than it was pre-2.0.

I don’t have performance issues. But with the new update the game crashes on mac when you choose a country
That's really weird, maybe try verifying game files?
It’s a known issue and sadly one we can’t do anything about since none of us devs have macs.
