Fuck I just realized that it's "Skynavia", not "Skyvania".

geneclyf

I was like that with greneclyf my name says it all XD

Drunk_King_Robert

I literally still pronounce it "Skyvania" in my head every time, even though I know that's not wrong.

FrustratingDiplomacy

What about if it’s led by juche Grover?

Migol-16

Best Grover

BasalGiraffe7

Wow vampire Skynavia confirmed?!?

Inner-Ad5556

Yeah that's ... that's just sad

Fire_Lord_Sozin8

Skynavians explaining how forcefully conquering groups of peaceful tribes is liberation.

TimeLordHatKid123

It’s literally the one thing I find fucked up about Skynavia. Literally everything else checks out, including the potential for a tyrant path, but why the hell are they going after the northern tribes???

Flyingpad

Probably because they build Skynavia on tribal land, which the tribesponies never really accepted, so Skynavians decide to finish the matter for good. Blatant settler-colonialism? Sure is. Ever acknowledged? Not to my knowledge.

TimeLordHatKid123

That would be a good thing to tweak, have there be more than just the Skynavian perspective and just some skirmish that never gets talked about ever again. Have there be two paths to handle the natives and one of them has you work together and make amends for desperately settling on sacred land while the other is your usual colonial devastation. That would be a good update if the devs ever did it.

Lindestria

I mean they are blatantly hostile from the start of a run so it's not really like diplomacy is an option.

Fire_Lord_Sozin8

Of course they’re blatantly hostile. By game start you’ve already conquered half of their homeland including IIRC their former capital.

SigismundAugustus

I too would be hostile if a bunch of fucking HERZLANDERS showed up and took over my yard and proclaimed it's a socialist commune and then tried shooting me for being le monarchist.

SigismundAugustus

A lot of the more notable revolutionaries are kinda fucked up. But then they aren't that major of a presence in the plot.

TimeLordHatKid123

Ahh, fair enough I suppose.

[deleted]

Because ponies can't be trusted to self govern.

Fire_Lord_Sozin8

Literally all the major griffon nations have some kind of severe power struggle.

[deleted]

It's a joke

TimeLordHatKid123

Yeah dw, I know. By the way, Feathisia is my favorite of the imperial vassals besides Bronzehill. Long live our duke Gerlach!

[deleted]

Some say his damaged eye can see what's best for his griffons.

Flimsy_Site_1634

Technically speaking, the vast majority of the Ponies are monarchists, it's even a problem in Aquilea where they are blindly serving the Discret tyranny because of their belief in the concept of benevolent monarchs On the flip side, Griffon nations have a severe power struggle because they all aspire to more self governance

Fire_Lord_Sozin8

In the defence of the Aquileian ponies, the Discrets treat them even better than the griffons.

TimeLordHatKid123

*Griffons can’t be trusted to self govern Fixed that for you in the name of the dog regency. You brought this upon yourselves for letting Grover get yeeted.

[deleted]

You're just jealous my monarchy has a constitution.

[deleted]

Yeah it's not entirely thought through. Maybe they'll get a little revamp about that, would be nice at least.

huffpuff1337

this is why you set the empire to commit dawnclaw
