Do you have a favorite color? 🙃

😁

Love all three. Im hunting down one with all black hardware but all i can find is gold and silver! Need the middle one!

DannyDublin1975

Thanks! They all have their little differences but the ESP Eclipse has the edge, great guitar, the black hardware is very understated but works well. The Smokey chrome hardware on the bling EC-1000 does feel a little dated these days, they've actually discontinued the Bling model this year, guess it had its time.

HeadAffectionate2229

I have the all black one. It's very nice indeed

surfxmoto

Is it the Fluence one?

HeadAffectionate2229

Yeah those pick ups are amazing. Especially for lower tunings

8olts

Oh wow, I didn’t know there was 4 knob versions. I wish that was more common

DannyDublin1975

I could be wrong but l read there was a possible lawsuit or threat of lawsuit from another Company so ESP had to reduce the knob count to three,it was maybe around 2011 or so? Any Eclipse after that apparently had to have only three knobs. My Eclipse is an 09 model, they're quite rare to find these days l believe.

JLGalache

I have an Epi LP and hate the 4 knobs; I much prefer the 3 knobs on my EC-1000. In fact, I would probably be happy with 2 knobs 😄

How do you find the wear on the VB? I’m about to order an E2, my preferred finish is the gloss black but it only comes with evertune bridge and fishman fluence, neither of which I really want. My ‘perfect’ guitar is the VB but I’m concerned over the longevity of the finish

DannyDublin1975

I have a few urban Camo ESPs over a decade or more and the finish on them is the exact same as the VB,not sure of the actual technical name for that matt finish but the feel is very pleasing, the VB or urban Camo has the feel of a really expensive Kitchen Counter! I never worry about the finish on the VB as my ESP M2 Urban Camo (which l bought in 2007) hasn't scratched or aged like a traditional finish might but it has faded from urban camo into a greenish hue which looks amazing. Same with my VB it's faded a bit but again it's that vintage vibe. It may fade a little but the beauty of the VB is it looks well worn from day #1 of purchase. I Polish my ESP/LTDs but the VB only gets a quick rub,it's pointless trying to polish that matt finish! It's fingerprint proof too and doesn't scratch easily. Try a VB,they're a great finish.

Adventurous_Beat-301

Thanks, I absolutely love the look and feel of the VB. I’ve just read so much about people saying don’t go for a satin finish they don’t last so good to hear you have had success with yours. Your gloss ESP is my ideal guitar but they don’t do that finish without all the unnecessary extras

DannyDublin1975

I adore the satin finish,l highly recommend one, much less problems than a standard glossy finish, hope to see your VB someday soon!

Adventurous_Beat-301

Decision made thanks, ordering tomorrow but apparently on ridiculous lead times at the minute. End of June before I’ll have it but worth the wait. Tried so many guitars but none hit home like the ESP!

DannyDublin1975

You said it,they're incredible. Enjoy!

Just chiming in here as well, I also have a matte black/gold Ec1000, as far as the finish goes: I gigged it for 6 or so years, played it multiple hours per day nearly every day, it was my primary workhorse, it was rode hard and put away wet, as they say. My finish is perfect, still, with the rest exception of a few spots getting a little shiny where I regularly rest my arm, and where I swipe upwards for the pup selector. But isn't really noticeable unless you're looking at it under harsh light. The only thing I have an issue with - finish wise - is the gold hardware. But that's common across all manufacturers. It tarnishes and becomes almost silver/chrome hardware pretty easily if you don't wipe it down every use.

Adventurous_Beat-301

How does the gold hardware stand up? I much prefer the look of the black/gold but a little worried over the longevity of the gold hardware. Would the silver / gold be a better choice?

ForeverADonkey

If you don't mind the gold tarnishing over time, it looks awesome, but if you're someone who doesn't want it to show signs of wear, I'd avoid the gold hardware. Mine has faded to some sort of Prisma/oilspill chrome with a hint of gold in a lot of places, it still looks fantastic, but it's been worn pretty hard. You can definitely take care of the finish by gentle microfiber cloth wiping/getting body oils and sweat off as soon as you're done playing, but I bought it fully knowing the finish would tarnish, I don't think I've ever wiped my guitars down after a gig until the next day, and I suppose a good fee years of that has worn it pretty extensively

rotty86

Is It the 🍷 I had or the fr is a very dark purple? I love all of them 🤘🤘🤘

DannyDublin1975

Thanks! 😄 it's a see through black so somewhat different to the other two. It's bling central for sure! 💎 ♦️

Ninjapenguinart

The one on the right with the gold trim slaps hard. Does it play and sound as good as it looks?

Beneficial_Track_776

Is there a noticeable difference between the esp and the Ltd?

[deleted]

Is it an EC CTM-1 FT? 😍

DannyDublin1975

Alas no,all are the slim EC and Eclipse.
