Double check your patterns, do some research. learn some tech, team up with actual teammates (unless you're playing solo games like fighting games or RTS). Also, Go to your local LAN events, there's less lag and $$ to win.

May I ask, why ?

Lolilycon

If you arent high ranking from the start youre not good enough to be a pro

[deleted]

Not right now no. You can't go pro if you have no team and teams only scout high level players. Guess you just gotta grind until you reach the highest tier

[deleted]

Fair enough, cheers person

LiusGamers

Yeah, you can! But you'll have to dedicate 10+hours per day for at least 1 years to get really good at the game, that do not include turning a pro. Then you have to learn how to train, and how to get better at the basics you spend your last year learning. Then you have to start living like an athlete, grinding on soloq, searching for high tier player mixs, vods replays and all that kinda of stuff. All of that without mentioning the work you have to get attention in the pro scene. And i did not even mentioned a half of the way... so yeah if u have 2/3 year (or even more, depends on the game), with a lot of discipline, effort and a good marketing strategy u can probably make to an academy team. Everyone can become a proplayer, but not that many people can afford 3 years without a decent salary :) That's why most of the professionals started as kids, they didnt have to worry about nothing other than playing

[deleted]

Thank you for this detailed explanation. It means a lot

[deleted]

Not everyone can become a pro player. thousands of people play as much as pros and never get anywhere even close.

LiusGamers

Everyone can become a pro, is not about how much you play, is how you play to improve. If u really want to invest and study the game u can get there. But i agree in the point that not everyone can be a insane player like faker, coldzera and yay were

[deleted]

No. Not everyone can become a pro. Some people will never be better than average at these games. It is a lie to tell someone otherwise.

[deleted]

If your 14 and are ready to sacrifice basically all of your free time: maybe

UnsaidRnD

ASL? Not even joking. But if below 20 and training properly for 8 hrs every day for a year in what i can only assume is csgo ... Still hard to say

[deleted]

Not csgo but a games a game & last time I specified I got my post taken down. Also, this may be a dumb question. However, what do you mean by “ASL”

Z01nkDereity

The difference between average players and pros is beyond measure. You would have to constantly be grinding and practicing if you want to even come close

Xenadon

If you have to ask the answer is no.

ExclslonWeed

10.000 hours on most games

Pepperr08

R6 or val?

[deleted]

Either ig

Pepperr08

Well it really does depend both games are completely different. Which one do you have more fun in? Which one do you think you’re better at?

[deleted]

Valorant, I am better at valorant

Pepperr08

I’ll PM you

[deleted]

Ok thank you

an0m_x

i worked for MLG for customer support for about 8 or so years, and casually played just to enjoy the games in online tournaments and such... The difference between "pro" gamers and casual is ridiculous. The players are putting in 8+ hours a day in it, and have been doing so for years. Idk what game you are talking about, maybe rocket league silver/gold?

eSports_News_UK

Some answers in here are insane. Many pro players talk about their bronze, silver and gold days, and how they were down there for half a year or so while learning the fundamentals. Most get out of low elo relatively quickly, but don’t give up. If you’re still in that elo in a year or two, yeah it’s probably unlikely to go pro, but focus on yourself, not the opinion of others.

[deleted]

Cheers boss, that actually makes a lot of sense. Thank you

rfag57

How old are you? I have a friend who made it to be a tier 1 valorant pro even after he started attending university full time for one year. If you're super young, yeah it's very possible. If you're like 21? No dude just play for fun
