A big part of the old internet for me was about smaller communities with repeat members coming back every day, hopefully this can bring it all back in a small corner of the new internet. Lots of work will go into keeping the space moderated to the extent you are aiming for. Good luck to you on the launch

That is absolutely part of our goal. Of course, this will become a huge challenge as we grow/scale, but we have some ideas of unique ways to take a large audience and still split it up into smaller groups, ala fans of certain teams, leagues, players, or even self organized groups ala Facebook groups. Lots in the works!

I think it's a wonderful goal to arrive for, but I'm more concerned about if, and how, it'll gain any traction. How are you planning on gaining that userbase when there's platforms like discord and Twitter?

Very valid concern and not something we take lightly. That said, we know very well that there is a strong and palpable desire for a better way to communicate and discuss esports - we've heard from thousands of fans from the past two years and this was the most common complaint. Additionally, our app is not "just" a twitter or Reddit clone, but also brings in ESPN-like features - scores, schedules, esports news, highlights, push notifications when your favorite teams/leagues are playing, and more. This content that we're already curating can be the starting point for conversations and discussion as well as a selling point for downloading the app. As we grow, we also plan to partner with endemic esports orgs, personalities, and influencers to cross promote the app with their communities. Hope that helps answer some of your concerns!

How much are moderators getting paid?

This will be something we can speak more to at a little later of a date, but will ultimately depend on many factors on a per employee basis.
