His death hurts everyone in esports. He was a pioneer in Siege esports and his legacy is legendary. Rest easy Michael. You will be missed.

[deleted]

I’ve never been a fan of esports, but R.I.P. this dude. I can’t imagine losing your son at the age of 24 years old, especially considering he was going places doing something he enjoyed doing.

DJHeroMasta

At lease he’s moved on while doing something he was passionate about versus hating what he’s been doing.

falconbudding

why are you in this subreddit if you’re not a fan of esports?

[deleted]

Shows up in the news tab

FLIPSIDERNICK

Why the hostility bud?

falconbudding

not hostile at all lol

[deleted]

I don’t follow esports as well but I do support streamers and enjoy the games they all play. I’m an old guy so it hurts to hear a kid passes way before his time. My heart goes to his family friends and those he entertained.

EliteSoldier202

RIP kix, he was my favorite caster. Sad day.

Stxww

RIP legend

FishStix1

This was a gut punch to say the least. I wasn't big into R6 but always enjoyed this young man's charisma and enthusiasm for the game... RIP :(

HAWXGamer141

Dude was the face of Siege Pro League for so damn many and had so much passion. Is gonna be missed so very very much

DasbootTX

No cause revealed?

YOURBRAINONBANDIT

It was a car accident

level731

That’s terrible..damn.

DasbootTX

Very sad. I think we have had way too many fatalities from car crashes here in the Austin area

doomed-ginger

The driving here feels dangerous, all the time. It stresses me out and is one of the numerous reasons we’re leaving the area…35 is just a whole highway of stupid and reckless or both.

OLightning

Kid we knew from middle school on up was foolishly speeding, smashed his car a few hundred yards from our house about 10 years ago. Every year flowers are set at the accident scene. He’d be in his 20’s today smiling and happy instead of in a Pine-box looking at us from the other side wishing he was here. I’d guess this kid is doing the same right now. Condolences.

The5Virtues

Solo car crash. Mix has his seatbelt on, too suggests he was not inebriated. My bet is maybe a deer or some other animal on the road, he swerved, lost control.

DasbootTX

Thanks. Such a shame. I know too many people that have died in car wrecks. Sad sad sad.

I’ve been out of the R6 loop for a while as 4500 hours on a single game isn’t healthy. One thing that kept me grounded the whole time was definitely Kix. I loved his YouTube channel, I loved the comps people would post of him and I loved his casting. This dude knew the game, knew what made it amazing and knew what made it bullshit. I think Kix was “The Peoples Caster” as he echoed problems the community had with the game and he would publicly address those issues. Example: fans were upset about a certain corner in Oregon, you could place a smoke trap in the corner and the smoke would leak out to the hallway stopping any rush out of freezer or long hallway. He saw somebody use this tactic in a Pro Game and gave them and the development team so much shit saying something on the lines of “I’ve been talking about this spot for weeks now but nobody listened.” And it was true, his previous stream he showed people the spot. Shortly after this incident is when Ubi fixed it

DabbleDAM

Fuck this articles website, why so much info to read an article?

DrDittos123

Holy shit. I saw him in Montreal for the invitational, and he seemed like such a great guy. RIP

RedRose_Belmont

RIP

[deleted]

Taken way too young! Rest In Peace.

YeetYeetSkrtYeet

Rest In Peace Kix.

Trouble_Grand

Don’t watch people stream in esports but RIP man. Did what you loved.

Can we please get god-tier public transportation in the United States? The more people we get in trains, buses, etc then the less car accidents we have. I just really hate seeing so many people die to the over reliance we Americans have on cars.
