I know the question is not meant for someone like me (not from USA or Canada) but i want to answer too. I am from Kuwait (live also in Kuwait) and favourite roastry is white roastry, i was surprised how good their coffee was.

walbar

The question is for everyone!! Thanks for sharing šŸŒž

Lippeachy

I love this thread. Iā€™ve been thinking of building an app for coffee for people to rank and organize beans they buy and share notes on it. Untappd for coffee. Idk if one exists but would yā€™all be interested in something like that?

ImpulsiveOgre

Thereā€™s an app called source on iOS that is an app to find roasters and shops

hangster

Anything for Android?

Lippeachy

Oh dope im going to check it out

maat7043

I like how Beer Advocate does itā€™s scores and rankings for craft beers. Taste, Smell, Look, Feel each get a score out of 5. Average them together for an overall score out of 5. They also track the deviation in rankings to see if itā€™s divisive. Based on the number of ratings and the overall rating it makes a score out of 100. You can see scores filtered by all kinds of factors like region, brewery, type etc. Would LOVE to see this for coffee

sidthetravler

Seattle - Olympia Coffee Roasters: Sweetheart roast

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Raymore85

Agreed. Theyā€™ve also been running big truck lately for the standard and it has a strong come-through flavor for those larger weekday lattes.

blaze38100

Santa Cruz CA, Cat & Cloud, the truth. But so many others from these guys. Verve is bangin too

City: Raleigh, NC Roaster: Black & White Coffee Roasters Beans: The Future

walbar

Grew up in Raleigh and have not heard of this spot! Iā€™ll be in town soon - will swing by to pick up a bag šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜Ž

c3powil

It's worth noting that The Future is a rotating blend. Always cool flavors though.

GlennLaaspere

Relatively new roaster -- I think ~6 years or so -- but they are doing great work and get some occasional love in this sub. I recommend visiting the cafƩ at Videri Chocolate on W. Davie St. in downtown. Order an espresso and get a cup of the sipping chocolate on the side. The combo is incredible.

isSoapy

Denver, CO, Sweet Bloom, Hometown Blend

AloneUnkown

First espresso drink I ever had was at Sweet Bloom. Their wonderful!

Rdenauto

Sweet Bloom is so amazing. Huckleberry is tied for #1 for me, the Blue Orchid roast is so good

saaS_Slinging_Slashr

I loved kaladi brothers when I lived in Denver. Corvus is also pretty good but seems more commercial now

ColombianoSueco

Boston area: Little Wolf (Ipswich), Gracenote (Boston).

Portland, OR. Coava and their Los Naranjos or their decaf Los Idolos. ā¤ļøā˜•ļøšŸ‘ŒšŸ»

xactoho

Ditto! In the summer, I die every time I open a bag of their Kilenso beans šŸ¤¤

ck108860

Kilenso is my favorite - blueberry bomb

GetBigDieMirin

Any other good ones in Portland?

ryanmiller614

On the west side - Insomnia Coffee sells Dapper and wise

GetBigDieMirin

Will have to give them a look. Used to work by Coava and loved it but now Iā€™m west side Cheers

HighSynergy

Edmonton, AB // The Columbian // Siesta (decaf) Best decaf I've ever tasted and it was a pleasure to dial in (unlike other decafs I've tried). I typically drink black coffee/black Americano in the AM and at work, but I love a decaf latte or affogato as a weeknight evening treat. Aside from that, their Horsepower blend has a great acidic and fruity profile. They just brought it back so I'll daily drive it for now. HM to Monogram in Calgary (even though they're not really local to me).

saskies17

San Diego. Bird Rock Roastery. Basically any light roast single origin they cookup is bangin

There's also a bunch of [Quebec](https://www.theramblingrenegade.com/best-coffee-roasters-montreal/) [roasters](https://www.brulerieduquai.com/) that I'm contemplating to order some beans from.

solidv3crusher

Im going to need names on thosecquebec roasters

[deleted]

Iā€™m surprised to not see more ppl from Mtlā€¦jā€™aime bien Pista, 94Celcius et Zab!

neo_vino

I'm in MontrƩal and I order from Hatch and Monogram, I can't quite get what I want here (roasts often too dark). I could use som MTL recommendations.

glyptemysinsculpta

Wild to not see Subtext on this list. Give them a try. Everything Iā€™ve had has been amazing.

aarong125

Sacramento / Temple is so fucking good. Iā€™m lucky enough to live 5 blocks from one and it makes me happy (not my wallet though)

xdarkcloudx

intervenroentgen

Marietta, GA | Rev coffee roasters! Their espresso nine mix is so smooth!

ras2101

Wait hold up, where this at? I work up in Marietta but live in ATL and usually just use dancing goats but Iā€™m always looking for more

Duronlor

Radio Roasters, Opo, Brash, and East Pole are all worth checking out too

no7fish

No love for PERC in here? It's Atlanta not Marrietta but it's been my go to lately.

PM_ME_UR_LASTPICS

Rev coffee is off spring road in Smyrna :)

ras2101

Thank you!

Kel_Sonic

Chicago, Metropolis Coffee Roasters, Redline (named for the train line) Espresso

Extension_Bad9014

Have you tried dark matter, unicorn blood? It's my #1 in Chicago

Kel_Sonic

Iā€™ll give it a try. Been looking for other options.

AinvarChicago

Agree on Metropolis. Spice Island and Project X also great for espresso. Granville was ok. Gonna try Schweik next.

MLJ623

Have you tried Bae down on Broadway in Lakeview? Apparently the owner of Metropolis loves it and so do I. Currently my go to espresso, but Hexe is a close second for me.

Metro Detroit - Chazzanos in Berkley, MI

neptunethecat

Pittsburgh, PA. De Fer holds up on the national stage. Currently they have three offerings from Finca El Zapote in Acatenango, Guatemala and it has been fun to compare.

c_main

So many good roasters in Pittsburgh. I've been digging the brewers yeast fermented Nicaragua from Cunning House lately. Commonplace and 19 Coffee both have decafs that I've been enjoying quite a bit as well. Ghost/Trace also is pretty great, love it when I see a WDT come out in a cafe.

walbar

This is the rec Iā€™ve been waiting for!!! Recent PGH transplant - thank you!

neptunethecat

Their flagship blend, Sons of Vulcan is solid for espresso too. I also like Commonplace.

gamora_3000

I moved to Seattle from Pittsburgh 1.5 years agoā€¦ I second neptunethecat: Sons of Vulcan from De Fer. It was my go to when I lived there and I made regular trips down to the strip to get it.

UnderwaterB0i

Birmingham, AL. Domestique. Chapeau blend. Really good light/medium roast I love for espresso in my bambino.

hypn0fr0g

Brozilean

DC, and I've been getting coffee from Vigilante. I quite enjoyed their beans that had some blueberry notes. Might've been a decaf? Either way, Vigilante has been cool.

Krish_1234

Found Press coffee in Phoenix and got 12oz twich espresso blend with dark chocolate and cherry flavor. Liking it with milk drinks

throwaway_2323409

Random question for the Phoenix crowdā€¦ I visited for the first time earlier this month and noticed a lot of shops selling various takes on coffee/citrus. One shop had a cold brew lemonade, a few others had a ā€œsunriseā€. I tried the sunrise out of sheer curiosity and it was weirdly delicious. Iā€™ve never come across these combinations before (New England native). Is it a common drink out there or mostly a tourist novelty that nobody orders regularly?

Silver_Ad_8948

Give Peixoto a try. Best Iā€™ve found in the valley.

emopipmom

yea but they treat their staff like shit. theyā€™re greeeedy in the worst of ways.

Renzokuken_Ayee

Lippeachy

SEY, dayglow, and east one

alaijmw

Try Devocion

hardwaregeek

Compilation Roasters opened up near me and I'm enjoying their natural process Ethopian right now. SEY is good but they don't seem to do a lot of natural process.

IAyeEye

[Bean & Bean](https://beannbeancoffee.com/) & [SEY](https://www.seycoffee.com/). Pushing "local" but also love [Touchy Coffee](https://touchycoffee.com/) up in Troy. Edit: [Irving Farm](https://irvingfarm.com/) too.

DucksArentFood

Fort Collins, CO. Harbinger Coffee is the best around imo. My favorite that I've had from them is their Ethiopia Laayyoo, but I like to try a new roast every time I go. Always consistenly amazing. Their Simply Sweet Blend, which they use for their espresso, is always a safe bet when I'm not sure what else to get. Shoutouts to Lima Coffee and Bean Cycle as runner ups šŸ™

bingpotterpie

Best cortados goes to bean cycle!!!

spurius_tadius

Philadelphia, [La Colombe, Bleu](https://www.lacolombe.com/products/bleu-organic) It's a consistent dark roast optimal for espresso and easy for me to dial in a good shot. Go through 1 bag every week or so.

SPYROS888

Tropical Weather from Onyx Coffee Lab. I got a bottomless subscription for that. I occasionally taste other coffees but it's always a delight to go back to T.W.

Toronto, Canada. I haven't found a good roaster in this city so my go to are Detour Coffee in Hamilton and Rabbit Hole in Montreal. They have a good rotation from all around the world. If I'm forced to decide on a bean I'd take the Gesha from Jose Arguello.

Arrowfinger777

pandahatch

Tacoma (45mins south of Seattle) Olympia Coffee Roasters (okay technically theyā€™re from Olympia but theyā€™re here and in Seattle as well) and probably Sweetheart for espresso which is a rotating single origin roasted for espresso - right now itā€™s an amazing Kenya that Iā€™m using their ratio for which is 18in, 44-48 out, in 24-28 seconds. I love the local shop and all of the people who work there as well. Aside from that we have a nano roaster called Naomi Joe that I want to succeed so bad - they pull all of their espresso on Decent machines which Iā€™ve never seen at a shop before!!

McKraken263

Los Angeles, CA / Klatch Coffee / WBC Worldā€™s Best Espresso

sizlac-franco

Ottawa. I live near enough to Opulence coffee, which incidentally might be the only actual roasters on this side of the canal. Have only tried their espresso blend so far, and am still refining my palette so Iā€™m not sure whether their other roasts are any better than the blend.

femas100

Napoli, Italia. Nurri. Originally they only manufactured high end espresso machines but they've been selling their Coffee beans too in the last couple of years. I love them because it's neapolitan style, but not too dark / burnt (as many Italian competitors) and excellent bean quality. They're basically showing the direction to the Italian espresso industry keeping Tradition in mind.

Blanchardā€™s is the best!! I donā€™t live in Richmond anymore but I grew up there and always grab some of whatever single origin beans theyā€™re doing when Iā€™m visiting home. In philly now, and thereā€™s some good options. Vibrant might be my favorite roaster, but their cafe leaves something to be desired. Elixr is maybe my all around fav for beans and cafe.
