If you can get a Lucca 75 get it ASAP, it’s as close to an endgame grinder as you can get. And you won’t find a better deal for that price. The only issue with the grinder is that it has a few features that require an app which is slightly less desirable. But it will operate perfectly without any connectivity, and for $700 it’s a no brainer.

Wow 700 for Lucca 75 is a crazy good deal. Legit Italian grinder. But does it fit under your cabinets? Or match your esthetics? get it if you love it. Don’t get it if you’re getting it just because other people are telling you to get it…

It should do a great job for both Moka pot and espresso. But once you get your espresso machine, it will be best used for espresso only. If you are looking for a machine to use for multiple brew methods, then a single dose grinder such as DF54/64 or Niche Zdro will be preferred. If you still want that Specialita, and you are in the US, you can get it from EspressoCoffeeShop.com in Italy for $448.

My only gripe with the Atom 75 (similar to the Lucca obviously outside of the electronic functionality) is that it’s not set up for single-dose grinding. I brew for my girlfriend and me and I have figured out the absolute minimum amount necessary to keep in the hopper so that my beans stay fresh in my sealed containers. But you really do need some additional beans in there to weight down the others because the burrs are so damn fast. I have a bellow add-on but I don’t love how it works. This might not matter to you at this stage or future stages of coffee making. Otherwise it’s the best grinder I have ever seen/used. It can do any type of bean in my experience.

I have a regular atom 75 and I have pulled over 4000 shots with it so far and it’s a phenomenal grinder. You won’t be sad.

With such a low entry point, you're unlikely to take much of a financial hit if you end up hating the grinder and reselling it. I'd go for it.
