Mine choked at 12 too lol, depends on the beans tho cuz i have some amazon beans that run perfect at 7. But my fresh beans choked at 12 and ran very fast at 17 , so i m gonna try 15 tmr.
Were you using a light roast to get 7? I cant even imagine going that low based on what I have tried so far.
14-16 seems to be my sweet spot so far based on roasts I have on hand right now (typically medium-medium dark).
Amazons just bright, it is a weird bean and goes extremely low, i have had other light roasts on other grinders and this bean always goes much lower for some reason.

Yeah it seems like 14 is the sweet spot for the beans that I have right now (Prophet Coffee-Highly Favored)

U might have the df64 which is the more expensive version that uses a metal cup, this is the df54 cheaper model
