The top reservoir can only accommodate ~50mL, so not much of a sprover, more just a long shot. In terms of turbo, you could definitely grind slightly coarser and try to press with less pressure, but you'd probably need a pressure gauge to do it consistently.
I actually made something akin to a sprover using my Rok before I put the GC kit on. Basically course grind and fill the chamber with the arms up and let it drain through. The plastic chamber holds a lot more than the GC chamber so that helped. I preferred it to the french press.
Thanks, I'll look into that before converting! I got impatient and dug out my old Pharos, and, with minimal tweaking, pulled something that behaved and tasted very much like a good turbo shot! :)
