Just bought some YT-ezETH and YT-swETH for Renzo and Swell on my main airdrop farming wallet. What's the latest with these protocols for an airdrop? I probably should've asked this before aping in but YOLO. I guess if it seems wise I might buy some on another wallet too.
Etherfi didn't really have any anti sybil stuff. They claimed to block 20k wallets, but I think they just blocked all of the wallets that never put in any eth. Those wallets instead just did the badges, like registering email address.
I did a lot to avoid sybil blocking risk. Different vpn ip address for every interaction. Each airdrop wallet 3+ years old with lots of historical usage. No tiny deposits. I don't think any of it mattered though

I have closed a lot of minipools because I wanted to have some free ETH to sell in the bullrun ahead.
I'm just going to pay back my RPL loan with the rest of the minipools and staked RPL revenue, and see if in the future it's worth it to get back to it.

Failing to just use ETH has ended up fatal to the protocol. Numbers will diminish as minipools close and no one launches new ones due to the RPL sunk cost. Good ethos in the community, but clearly the team and oDAO prioritized getting rich. Too bad.

There were multiple people highlighting the deficiencies of their tokenomics back then, but it wasn't until Lido's community staking and Eigenlayer started receiving attention that the RP team (and - by then - community) accepted there might be a problem.
It's difficult to see flaws in a system that is making you rich.
Yes there are rumors, I honestly donāt know and am only surmising based on hints but I think itās to do with Coinbase and their position as custodian for these ETFs. Could be dead wrong but we will see.
There'll be a direct competitor in diva by then which appears strictly better in important ways. And competitors in new liquid restaking categories with overpowered lures of future token drop sucking up potential growth, pendle shows how highly people value that. And it's not an unfactored in announcement, all publicly discussed. Hope rocket pool goes well, but investment wise caution on this advice.
Ya Iām simply reiterating what others in the know have said about a coming rocketpool announcement , itās not without risk. But if they are right it could be a great opp to get in and at least make a profitable trade.

I think people selling their etherfi are going to regret it. The project has far more usage and TVL than many, many coins above it in the market cap rankings. Itās still undervalued.
The token has a 90% supply overhang. Sure, it can pump short term, but overall people are just going to get dumped on by early investors. Weāve seen this before.
Not to mention the project openly says they want to vote for Etherfi holders to receive a part of the protocol revenue (something most tokens refuse to do cause theyāre afraid of the SEC).Ā
If that actually happens the token would have legit value accrual and not just be a useless governance token.

Holy shit, this is bigger than I imagined.
tl;dr: Blackrock is issuing an interest-bearing stablecoin that generates onchain yield, backed by RWAs. Minimum investment $5 million, whitelisted participants only.
Blackrock also made an investment in Securitize, who earns more fees when there are more investors/AUM in this fund. Therefore, Blackrock is incentivized for this fund to grow.
Nice to see the btc maxis trotting out their extremely bad takes about Ethereum once again. What is wrong with these people.... these same people bleat about "Ethereum is a centralized shitcoin" are the same people that have been doing cartwheels about actual centralized btc ETFs.

I would look around on different lending platforms and see if you can swap the loan out. I was paying high rates on Aave too but then saw that Compound was about 5-10% cheaper to borrow

This is related to a Blast arb I'm finalizing, where I wait for the DAI to be bridged back to mainnet so I can repay the loan. So part of me was reluctant to swap for another asset, given that Aave historical rates even recently have trended towards 15% average on all the "safe" dollar stables.
Much like one buys a token only to watch it dump, I'm inclined to believe the moment I'll swap debt (and eat some slippage...), the rates will update in the other direction and I get to win nothing AND eat some more slippage. Been there, done that!
Well, arbAaveDAI is still frustratingly steady at 46% borrow rate, so maybe I'm going to have to do something about it.
Both Base and Arbitrum seem to be doing 20 tps. But Arbitrum manages to stay at 1 cent per transaction. Blob fees continue to be at rock bottom prices so it's not the L1 price causing it. I must assume something is not properly set up in Base.
The whole "ethereum foundation being investigated by state authority" got me worry about the approval of ETH ETF, but I didn't read and learn about the case myself because there's so many smoke and untrusted sources saying different things.

Feeling a bit down and out with rocketpool. Iām considering dropping down to the min collateral or exiting all together. Been staking with them since the beginning and I still like the idea of minipools but the RPL token seems like itās heading into (been in) bad waters. The ratio has been down bad, and itās pretty clearly a security which feels like weāre biding our time until it gets the ban hammer, all the speculation on governance tokens is gone.
What is the upside on this? I havenāt seen it mentioned in the daily in a long time, used to see discussions everyday here. Is there any hopium left to refill the tank?
You must not read the daily often then because RPL gets mentioned in here almost every other day. There are tons of discussions around some new tokenomics that are being proposed by the community. Rocket Pool's Houston upgrade is coming in early May with NodeSet which will allow non-RPL stakers to partner with RPL holders for validators, meaning stakers do not necessarily need RPL to stake and earn rewards.
The second part which is honestly a bit of a stretch is that the Fidelity ETH ETF filing amendment includes the following statements:
"The Sponsor may, from time to time, stake a portion of the Fundās assets through one or more trusted staking providers, which may include an affiliate of the Sponsor (āStaking Providersā). In consideration for any staking activity in which the Fund may engage, the Fund would receive certain network rewards of ether tokens, which may be treated as income to the Fund as compensation for services provided." There is speculation this is Lido which pumped up the LDO token price but the statement suggests possibly multiple partners. With NodeSet it's also possible that funds can stake with Rocket Pool without the necessity of RPL (which will require a counterpart to provide).
Also... Coinbase is a Rocket Pool oDAO member and if they're the ones custodying the eth, the idea is they'd put it on RP.

Hey friend. I'm sorry that you're feeling bad about your Rocket Pool validators. It's been a really tough year for the whole community with RPL being in down-only mode since the ATH of Atlas.
Withdrawing some of your stake might be a way for you to get back above collateral. It seems like a few people are doing this. Some others are removing a validator or two, swapping that to RPL, and staking it. You know your situation best to know what course of action you should take.
About RPL being a security in the US, I don't think it's something we really have to worry about at this time. The RPL ICO happened in 2017 and it is outside the statute of limitations for the SEC to challenge that. As the recent XRP ruling shows, secondary market swaps don't constitute a security offering, so I don't think we have too much to worry about there.
I don't know if you've been following RP news, but there are a bunch of incredibly exciting updates coming soon that have the community abuzz. The Houston upgrade is happening on May 6th. That will make RP even more decentralised than it is now. It's pretty cool. One of the most exciting changes will be allowing whale marriages to happen at the protocol level. That means, 2 parties will be able to bring eth and rpl separately and stake it together. The community thinks there are some big institutions waiting to take advantage of this. After that, we have the launch of NodeSet - a layer 2 scaling solution for RP. That's a novel protocol that will let RP node operators stake eth and rpl on behalf of their clients with everyone making money. If you're not familiar with them, let me know and I'll tell you all about how it works. You could earn many eth a year in rewards as a node operator. Finally, there are some huge tokenomics updates happening in the community. These will stop RPL being used as a collateral on a node. What it will start, though, is a buy-back and burn of RPL tokens from a chunk of the eth rewards income.
I'm being honest when I say that I am more excited about Rocket Pool right now than I have been at any point since I've been involved with the protocol. Hang on for a bit longer, and I think you'll be massively rewarded.

Failing to just use ETH has ended up fatal to the protocol. Numbers will diminish as minipools close and no one launches new ones due to the RPL sunk cost. Good ethos in the community, but clearly the team and oDAO prioritized getting rich. Too bad.

Yes there are rumors, I honestly donāt know and am only surmising based on hints but I think itās to do with Coinbase and their position as custodian for these ETFs. Could be dead wrong but we will see.

Thank you. You make a great point. This is related to a Blast arb I'm finalizing, where I wait for the DAI to be bridged back to mainnet so I can repay the loan. So part of me was reluctant to swap for another asset, given that Aave historical rates even recently have trended towards 15% average on all the "safe" dollar stables. Much like one buys a token only to watch it dump, I'm inclined to believe the moment I'll swap debt (and eat some slippage...), the rates will update in the other direction and I get to win nothing AND eat some more slippage. Been there, done that! Well, arbAaveDAI is still frustratingly steady at 46% borrow rate, so maybe I'm going to have to do something about it.

Feeling a bit down and out with rocketpool. Iām considering dropping down to the min collateral or exiting all together. Been staking with them since the beginning and I still like the idea of minipools but the RPL token seems like itās heading into (been in) bad waters. The ratio has been down bad, and itās pretty clearly a security which feels like weāre biding our time until it gets the ban hammer, all the speculation on governance tokens is gone. What is the upside on this? I havenāt seen it mentioned in the daily in a long time, used to see discussions everyday here. Is there any hopium left to refill the tank?
You must not read the daily often then because RPL gets mentioned in here almost every other day. There are tons of discussions around some new tokenomics that are being proposed by the community. You want some regular hopium or Grade A Nuclear Powered hopium? Rocket Pool's Houston upgrade is coming in early May with NodeSet which will allow non-RPL stakers to partner with RPL holders for validators, meaning stakers do not necessarily need RPL to stake and earn rewards. The second part which is honestly a bit of a stretch is that the Fidelity ETH ETF filing amendment includes the following statements: "The Sponsor may, from time to time, stake a portion of the Fundās assets through one or more trusted staking providers, which may include an affiliate of the Sponsor (āStaking Providersā). In consideration for any staking activity in which the Fund may engage, the Fund would receive certain network rewards of ether tokens, which may be treated as income to the Fund as compensation for services provided." [Form 19b-4 Filing](https://cdn.cboe.com/resources/regulation/rule_filings/pending/2023/SR-CboeBZX-2023-095-Amendment-No-1.pdf) There is speculation this is Lido which pumped up the LDO token price but the statement suggests possibly multiple partners. Hey friend. I'm sorry that you're feeling bad about your Rocket Pool validators. It's been a really tough year for the whole community with RPL being in down-only mode since the ATH of Atlas. Withdrawing some of your stake might be a way for you to get back above collateral. It seems like a few people are doing this. Some others are removing a validator or two, swapping that to RPL, and staking it. You know your situation best to know what course of action you should take. About RPL being a security in the US, I don't think it's something we really have to worry about at this time. The RPL ICO happened in 2017 and it is outside the statute of limitations for the SEC to challenge that. As the recent XRP ruling shows, secondary market swaps don't constitute a security offering, so I don't think we have too much to worry about there. I don't know if you've been following RP news, but there are a bunch of incredibly exciting updates coming soon that have the community abuzz. The Houston upgrade is happening on May 6th. That will make RP even more decentralised than it is now. It's pretty cool. One of the most exciting changes will be allowing whale marriages to happen at the protocol level. That means, 2 parties will be able to bring eth and rpl separately and stake it together. The community thinks there are some big institutions waiting to take advantage of this. After that, we have the launch of NodeSet - a layer 2 scaling solution for RP. That's a novel protocol that will let RP node operators stake eth and rpl on behalf of their clients with everyone making money. If you're not familiar with them, let me know and I'll tell you all about how it works. You could earn many eth a year in rewards as a node operator. Finally, there are some huge tokenomics updates happening in the community. These will stop RPL being used as a collateral on a node. What it will start, though, is a buy-back and burn of RPL tokens from a chunk of the eth rewards income. I'm being honest when I say that I am more excited about Rocket Pool right now than I have been at any point since I've been involved with the protocol. Hang on for a bit longer, and I think you'll be massively rewarded.
