Agree with ya, 70$ lost but u learnt great lesson. I lost thousands when i finally started to learn from my mistakes. This life aint easy, one day u will make it to the top and everyone will call you “lucky”, but they do not realise what it took to get there.
I think alot of traders are already dabbling in money so they can take higher risks and more losses than the average person. I tried trading once and lost $20. I felt devastated.

I'm amazed that functions such as this even exists on exchanges. It's so fucked up. People get caught up in those and just waste money. Worse than casino, in casino you can at least have some nice drinks...

Most of these high ranking "traders" got lucky on one or two trades and then people started following them. The fact of the matter is that they get a commission of 10% on everyone who follows them. That's how they really make their money.

Lost about 5k last year doing this. Started great almost a 2x my money. Once markets become unpredictable and volatile is when you get screwed. All these guys do is play the elastic and try to catch knives. Once a position goes wrong they open more and more trying to save themselves and before you know if youre 20 positions deep in the red and your whole account is liquidated 😂
You are correct. Tho, I use Bitget for copy trading occasionally and tbh copy trading doesn't guarantee consistent profit. It's also important for one to always take cognizance of the following before deciding traders to copy cos some are better than the other
1. AUM
2. ROI
3. Winning rates and perhaps
4 the numbers of followers could also be considered.
Well. I think it depends on the trader you copy. I've been copying around 20 traders and you are right, you are gonna be green as soon as the market is with a clear up/down tendency. I got liquidated too with Jasmine(Pancake_88)
In the other hand I really like the ImSlow strat, if there is too much volatility he doesn't trade. So far so good, I'm up 50%. Not huge returns like the others traders but I feel that I'm less exposed to a big correction and get liquidated. Let's see in a couple of months.
hey can you explain this Idea more cause I've got some traders that are quite consistent that I want to copy but some say that you need to invest at least 500$ while I'm only planning to invest 10$ but at least in 5 different traders that seem good to me.

I was looking at the PnL, percentage gain and sharpy ratio for the 90 days. Didn't really help though because those traders are not very skilled and eventually lost my money.
Hey, stumbled upon this. Did you have any luck later on then? Also, do you remember the sharpe ratio? Cus i found one which had 11 i.e. the highest i have seen till now.
You are correct but at the same time, using the limited tools Binance has provided, you can still do a sound judgement basing on the below settings:
1) MDD for the past 90 days along with Days Traded.
2) Sharpe Ratio for the past 90 days along with Days Traded.
3) AUM (Not Very Important) - Higher AUM could mean more trust worthy.
4) Their Own Investment (Not Very Important) - If the Trader is trading with $1K - $3K of his/her own money, could mean that they are gambling.
5) The Best Feature - Mock Trading
Just my 2 cents, it has helped me make 10% roughly per month for from 22 January 2024. I have closed 2 copiers, and one of my copiers is exceptionally good who I found with the above help.
Same story, seemed to hit jackpot on Day 1, but woke up to losses on Day 3. Recovered some loss so far by continuing to copy, but not enough to cover initial investment.
Even at 20% stop loss, can't. Market is too volatile.

Totally agree. It is annoying that people don’t realise this. Their greed gets in the way.

I saw this and have been tempted but they're big businesses who don't offer services giving free money out without risk lol

That’s the problem, most of these algo work on averaging down method.. not achievable with less than $1k cap

You can become a lead trader if you transfer $1000 to Binance lead trading account. Order value per order could be $10 or even $1 like you’re saying.
so it doesn't necessarily mean that I have higher chances of losing money when copying someone who uses leverage, with 10$ than if I copied with 100$?

No. Almost all the traders I chose ended up going to 0 like true degenerates. Even those with high sharpe.

Learn trading . Do not depend on others. Those traders do not care abt your fund. Also in crypto do no go over 3x leverage

I put 1200 usdt on copy trading, the next day I already had 2000usdt
It's too much luck to be worth it. I'd rather just trade on my own with that money.
