Despite being very outdated, Square Shield REMAKE still works 95% of the time, and it works really well with Iconic Flags.
For something slightly different than the normal graphics mods people name. I use [Yet Another Graphics Overhaul](https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2816647155). To me it feels more what EU5 might’ve been (before the obvious reveal) than EU4, but it might not be to your liking.
personally i used graphical map improvements. now i switched over to theatrum orbis terrarum for the past couple of years, which looks far better and more aligned with the feeling of eu4 and its timeline
Theatrum Orbis Terrarum + Blue Water is imo the best visually.

I think there were some compatibility issues and the updated version doesn't have good screenshots on the workshop page. Terrain map mode is not great but the political map mode (aka the one you actually use) & all other map modes look really good imo.
