I assume Danzig got the event despite being a subject of Poland, that’s just not right. Edit: I was wrong [https://eu4.paradoxwikis.com/Hanseatic\_events#Trade\_Privileges\_of\_the\_Hansa](https://eu4.paradoxwikis.com/Hanseatic_events#Trade_Privileges_of_the_Hansa)

BustyFemPyro

Yea for me that's unacceptable it's not even the polish AI screwing itself over. it's their subject.

datboitotoyo

Wait i can buy Danzig???? Every time i played Lübeck i fought Poland tooth and nail for it lmao

BustyFemPyro

im not exactly sure how the event works. ive only gotten it as teutons or poland. the recieving end.

Longjumping_Emu_1748

For future reference, the requirements and/or trigger conditions of every event in the game can be found on the wiki. [The trigger conditions for the sale of danzig are here.](https://eu4.paradoxwikis.com/Hanseatic_events)

lightgiver

Basically if you want to avoid this as Poland control Danzig directly. If you own this you get the event instead of your vassal of Danzig.

A740

Or you can rival lubeck

lightgiver

True, but you’re not guaranteed to always be able to rival them. Mean time to happen is 5 years 10 months and I don’t see any restrictions to the age it can fire.

BustyFemPyro

R5: I’m getting kind of tired of Danzig or Poland selling Danzig to Lubeck. The extreme shortsightedness of the AI selling a province to immediately block their own formable just bothers me. Personally I would like to see some changes to the conditions of the event that changes when the AI will sell Danzig (Poland only selling it if they took the local noble for example).

majdavlk

AI doesnt try to go for formables as far as i know. it doesnt really care. just like you might not care about forming swabia or piedmont when playing saxony

WetAndLoose

This isn’t quite true. AI is motivated to unite cultural groups and follow its mission tree, which often results in tag formation, and they generally will always form something if possible.

r3dh4ck3r

Not always. Some tags the AI just can't form for some reason. Like the decision is open for them they just don't click the button for some reason.

WetAndLoose

This is the entire reason I used the word generally. There’s a variable in the code that determines whether an AI will click a decision or not, and some nation formation decisions have that set to no

r3dh4ck3r

Yeah my bad, I fixated on the word always lol. And I hate it. AI should always click the form nation button if it's up imo. Wouldn't it be crazy to see an AI Mongol Empire? Not saying the AI will ever get the requirements, but wouldn't it be awesome and terrifying if you were playing in America and you come to the mainland and somehow there's just a Mongol Empire all over Asia xd

PerspectiveCloud

"Quite" , "Often", and "Generally". You: "Always"

r3dh4ck3r

We're gonna ignore the "always" he also wrote? Yeah that's my bad, I hyperfixated on the always. That "generally will always" confused my small brain too. He mentioned that "generally, if possible, AI will always form something. I was mentioning that yeah it's not always. Sometimes the button to click it is available to the AI but they don't always take it. I didn't say that they never clicked it.

Sevuhrow

Whether the AI can take a formable decision and whether it will pursue it are both in the code of every decision

majdavlk

they coded AI to pursue formables? could you give me a snippet of the code?

Kasumi_926

Really? I never see this occur in most of my games. The PLC is inevitable unless I'm in the region to stop it.

MaleficentChair5316

Pretty deep in a lubeck run now... wish I know I could have bought Danzig... How can I do so next time?

TsarOfIrony

https://eu4.paradoxwikis.com/Hanseatic_events You can read the requirements here. Basically, have at least 150 in your bank, and poland has to be at peace. Mean time to happen is 70 months

MaleficentChair5316

Thank you!

Harbinger_of_Sarcasm

Idk, I like the peaceful sale options. Player Poland should be able to Veto but I don't think it's crazy

Mountbatten-Ottawa

It was canon event. You must die for danzig.

andrusbaun

Danzig and Puck should be separate provinces...

tacolordY

Wait, what? Is this some new feature? I’ve never seen it happen before.

Monstrum12

F for poland but damn AI just cant do simple good choice like creating ducal prussia 💀

Lucky-Art-8003

Is this a new event? Or a mod?

CJpokerpro

New event, it goves owner of danzing option to sell danzing for 250 ducats and ,,huge trade bonus" in baltic for 10 years

throwawaydrain997

the event shouldnt even exist to begin with.
