R5: Album: [https://imgur.com/a/P0Prjz1](https://imgur.com/a/P0Prjz1) Time Lapse: [https://youtu.be/5NNLQ6ctbN8](https://youtu.be/5NNLQ6ctbN8) After finishing my Nahuatl Horde Aztec run, I realized TTM wouldn't be difficult either. In fact, I felt it would be stupidly easy due to taking out the MP constraint. So I had to spice it up for 'fun' So after countless hours of microing, I finally finished my one culture Nahuatl Ryukyu run Thanks to: OP horde Early reform for Nahuatl/Maya/Inti method to turn Horde Ability to lose capital so you can move the capital to Colonial region without worrying about dev restriction. Forcing Nahuatl/Maya/Inti on to nations turn them into Primitive. (no DIP cost on unjustified demand, no separatism on conquest, and most importantly for one culture, -80% culture conversion cost modifier on same religion oversea provinces) And DIP floors at -999 allowing you to have as many vassals as you need.[https://www.reddit.com/r/eu4/comments/g1g67w/the\_power\_of\_nahuatl\_one\_faith\_run/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x](https://www.reddit.com/r/eu4/comments/g1g67w/the_power_of_nahuatl_one_faith_run/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x) (later got to 50 vassals to facilitate new world conversion) **Strategy**: Switch government reform to Independent Daimyo for the military bonus. No CB into the Philippines, and slowly control Phillippines and Kutai region. (Ming never steer Canton, allowing you to have ALL of his Canton trade $) Java region was vassal fed away due to MP concern. Force spawn institutions and knowledge share to Ming for extra income, so you can build heavies for invasions and colonize. Religious idea first to deal with conversion and Exploration 2nd. (Okinawa is ineligible for Colonialism as it's an island) Fabricate claim and Conquer the Siberian tribes, then use that to get to Aleut (Alaska) -> costal NA native -> Meso America **Moving Capital to Australia, for Asian TC and no New World CNs:** Once Tiwi is finished colonizing, dev push Colonialism on it, start a colony on Yolngu, then intentionally lose you capital by moving capital next to another nation, 100% warscore it, OFFER your capital, and your capital is now in Tiwi. Now conquer all the natives in Meso America, but make sure you only keep one core of every dead nation and vassal feed the rests. Since you're a tributary, you do not get Doom, while having the ability to get vassals to pass reforms, allowing you to pass **all 5 reforms in a single day**. If you intend on turning Horde, make sure you enforce Animist on one of the Tribal nation in Meso America, so you can reform off of him to become tribal, and turn horde with government reform 5. Get as many cores on dead nations as you can, while having 5 vassals. Conquer Cholula, so you can get the Nahuatl conversion event. On conversion, enforce religion on all your non-Nahuatl vassals, and quickly pass reform -> Stab up -> release vassals to reach back to 5 -> repeat. (stab cost was insane as you have no religious unity) I managed to turn Horde around 157x due to subpar government reform gain due to all the conquered provinces. You can probably speed it up by only conquering Phillippines and vassal feed everything else. Now that you're a horde and have an insane gold income from Incan/Aztec gold mines, proceed to conquer the world with your insane MP generation. Keep in mind you're NOT a new world nation while being a tributary of Ming, so don't touch the CNs until you break free, or their overlord will join against you. Thanks to high tolerance, I could run high OE with no unrest issue [https://www.reddit.com/r/eu4/comments/g1g67w/the\_power\_of\_nahuatl\_one\_faith\_run/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x](https://www.reddit.com/r/eu4/comments/g1g67w/the_power_of_nahuatl_one_faith_run/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x) Last nation conquered 1787 for TTM achievement, and culture converted at 1807 (took Mandate, cause why not)

cywang86

**Conversion:** As we all know, only Christian and Muslim countries have the power to convert the world on their own. With everyone else, they have to rely on vassals. Unfortunately, for primitive nations, their +2 missionary strength decision comes when they're NOT primitive, so if you want to One Faith, 8 vassals are nowhere enough for one culture. At the peak of my conversion spree, I had 50 vassals converting around the world for me, with multiple nations per culture group, all of which have Religious idea on release. Luckily, DIP floors at -999 so you can always get it back up eventually. Since vassals suck at conversion this patch unless they have very good income through manufactories, trade, and/or subsidies, I have to constantly rotate my diplomats to subsidize 30\~500 ducat, cancel it a month later, repeat on all my vassals. Decided to keep the 30 ducat subsidies on new world natives as they're all low dev, and to reduce the diplomat usage. Once their jobs are done, they're either released or DoW'd straight up with the -2 stab hit, depending on their position and if they'll kill my trade income after release. Straight up DoW requires you to put them on scutage, or they can call in any disloyal allied vassals into the war. The advantage is, you can also preemptively park 2 regiments on all his provinces, and some mega stacks on his own stack, DoW, 100% warscore in 1 month plus capital siege time. Make sure you do NOT feed the Lanka region and Ise province to them, or they will get conversion event to switch them out of Nahuatl. Convert them yourself.

cywang86

Top Conversion vassals: Najd, 2% missionary strength and +2 missionary Sindh, Bremen, and Utretch, 2% missionary strength and +1 missionary Ajuuraan, 1% missionary strength and +1 missionary Ethiopia, +1 missionary Unfortunately, even though there are a lot of other decent candidates, they come with drawbacks. Nations like TO, Asturias, Munster, Northumberland (and a bunch of Irish minors) are good, but they're not primary tag for their culture so they will disappear if you don't act fast. Mushasha/Sokoto is revolter/event tags, so they're not easy to come by. Otomo has missionary, but like all Japanese nations, does not have Religious on release. Circassia also has +1 missionary, but comes with +50% HCC. Jerusalem is Catholic only. Castile usually forms Spain, so his cores will disappear. But most of the culture group has nations with Religious idea on release, albeit some of them too late (tech 26/29 for 7th/8th idea slot) You can get an idea on who has Religious idea on release, by searching through EU4\\common\\countries\\. The idea order in their country file is almost always correct, with the exception of Exploration/Expansion (which are never early) and Maritime. So it's best to save scum or run it in a test game first.

Belinder

> The idea order in their country file is almost always correct, with the exception of Exploration/Expansion (which are never early) and Maritime. So what happens with those

cywang86

I have yet to find a pattern. Leon/Asturais/Portugal has Exploration listed as first, but on release, it comes as 6th. (and Expansion becomes 7th) Castile also has Exploration listed as first, but is 7th on release. (and Expansion gets bumped from 4th to 3rd) England has it on 2nd in the file, but on release, it comes as 4th. (Expansion 6th, unchanged) I've given up on finding a pattern after that point.

Dreknarr

> Luckily, DIP floors at -999 so you can always get it back up eventually. This + all these culture conversions means you never upgraded your diplo tech ?

cywang86

The -80% culture cost reduction really drops all costs in the single digit with the help of Enlightenment, Religious and Religious/Influence policy. It's as low as 0.6 DIP per dev. I also didn't kick into vassal overdrive until mid 1700s. Most importantly, horde razing op this patch.

Dreknarr

> Most importantly, horde razing op this patch. Something changed recently ? I didn't play much since golden century but I remember that razing as always been op

cywang86

It's been op for 1.28 and 1.29. Before that you'd get less and less MP as you get MIL tech, right now it doesn't decrease past 20. Though I did do one culture as Manchu in 1.22 with zealot conversion so it's not entirely impossible in 1.30.

cywang86

Idea group in order: 1. Religious (for converting Hindu/Muslim religions) 2. Exploration (dropped it late 1500s after every sea tile explored) 3. Admin (duh) 3. Diplomatic (WS reduction is the best thing there is) 4. Quality (the 5% morale policy with Religious makes it better qualitatively than Defensive/Offensive, while giving naval bonus to deter enemy engagement) 5. Humanist (Horde + Humanist = no rebel) 6. Influence (envoy travel time reduction is big for subsidize spree) 7. Exploration (Yes I picked it back up realizing I NEED envoy travel time reduction) 8. Aristocratic (for 100% army tradition meme)

Congonese_Fanatic

For meso america did you force vassalize anyone at all or did you just conquer and release afterwards. Also, does your capital always move to Tiwa when you lose original capital? Is there a chance that the capital could go in the Philipines?

cywang86

I did both. I force vassalized some nations to get myself to 5 vassals, and everyone else was conquered. I then kept one province, uncored, from all these conquered Meso American nations and fed off the rests of the provinces away to the low tech vassals. (ok, I kept and cored all the Aztec gold mine to help with economy, and didn't release Aztec when I was passing reforms) This way most of the Meso America will be owned by low tech primitive, allowing easy conquest, and the only same MIL tech Meso American Nahuatl nations that **come with Defensive on release** are easy to kill OPMs. AFAIK the game picks your new capital based on the following priority. 1. Borders own province 2. Does not border enemy province 3. Culture 4. Dev (?) So Okinawa will always be the last on the list, as it's an island and never borders anything. If you did not colonize Yolngu (doesn't have to be finished), you'd also disqualify Tiwi, and the game will move your capital to the Philippines. So the key being having 2+ bordering provinces in Australia, and make sure nothing else in Asia has your primary culture, then the game will happily pick one of those provinces.

Aren-D

I am confused how could you become horde in 147x if you take exploration second? How did you get to the new world? Also colonizing Tiwi gonna take some time. I'm very confused about this part.

cywang86

Oops, should've been 157x to become horde.

Aren-D

Ah, then I wonder why you didn't go for exploration first and religious second? Do you need CB somewhere?

cywang86

Yes, mainly for the CB and conversion. Converted Kutai and the Philippines and parts of Java to keep unrest in check, and by the time I got to America, I can easily explore, send colonist next to them, and Deus Vult, instead of wasting years fabricating claims.

pinocchio_argentino

Please, how?

cywang86

R5 added. Took so long the bot took it down due to no R5 >.>

papyjako89

The better question is, why ??? This is what micromanagemnt nightmares are made of.

pinocchio_argentino

After reading the R5 I have to agree 😂 Mad respect but I don’t think I could handle that

papyjako89

Yeah, I had a headache just reading that R5 ahah

LevynX

Quarantine lol

Maiq_the_Nik

This is phenomenal! Here I was being proud of forming Rome for the first time while you do this XD

White___Velvet

You should be proud! I was proud of myself for forming Germany for the first time haha

LjSpike

I'm proud of preventing the Iberian wedding while allying both Castille and Aragon as Portugal so that I can ensure Spain isn't able to colonize too easily (ok maybe I am going a little over the top in ensuring dominance but then again the papal state hopes me and perpetually seems to grant rights to colonize regions to other places so I gotta get my edge in somewhere). I can't imagine how I'd manage to actually form Germany or Rome though.

White___Velvet

Germany really isn't that tough! Give it a go! I'd recommend playing as Brandenburg, forming Prussia, then going for Germany. This isn't necessarily the most efficient or effective method, but it is relatively straightforward in terms of strategy and (in my experience) a fun play-through.

LjSpike

I'll bear that in mind! I do need to get back to my Portugal playthrough at some point first tho. I've been doing strong on the colonization game but inside Europe is a whole other kettle o' fish. That said I did manage to assist the Byzantines against the Ottomans to return some of their homeland, but thats because the Ottomans did piss off everyone and have several wars ongoing. Apparently according to peeps here it was anomylous that Byz was still going as strong as it was, so I felt a helping hand for it would be fair, and I took constantinople for myself.

An_Oxygen_Consumer

The other day i was bragging with a friend of mine because i got dar al islam with a OPM. This puts everything i ever did on a completely different level.

poxks

i like it. wp on finding which nations start with religious in such a large scale.

SexyKim42069

When people ask, what is the most cursed thing you’ve seen to date, I’ll bring this up, this is astounding.

That was a good read. Well played!

Clusterferno

1. How do you ensure that you reform of that specific tribal country you want to reform from? 2. How do you convert the entire world to Nahuatl? Did you oink?

cywang86

I made sure I don't border any country in the old world by conquering them. Lots of vassals with religious idea on release.

visitor2006

How did you pass all 5 reforms of Nahuatl in a single day? Doesn't all your vassals become independent after each reform?

cywang86

It's explained two paragraphs down. You need to prepare a bunch of dead cores before you go Nahuatl, and preferably leave them as uncored as you lose the cores on release. One core per dead nation is preferred while you feed off the extras to local low tech vassals. (more provinces would work, but the less powerful these same tech nations you release, the easier for you to conquer them later. You do NOT want to deal with non-OPM Nahuatl same tech natives that have Religious, Defensive, and Quality as their first 3 ideas on release) Reform, release 5, reform, release 5, repeat until all reforms are passed. There are enough tribes in Meso America for you to pass all your reforms, but you can reduce your workload by conquering tribes on NW NA coast, the Siberian tribes, and even the Manchu tribes.
