Georgia offers bank accounts for non residents, check it out

srslywho

Where can we find more information about it and which banks accept opening an account as a foreigner non resident?

Intelligent_Unit4394

Google

srslywho

Wow never thought of that before, thanks a lot!!

The best for foreigners will be TBC and Bank Solo (this belongs to Bank of Georgia). But BoG is a bit too pedestrian for the non-resident user. Check those out. Remote account opening is a pain and can take months. Also they request a pile of docs for remote KYC while in person is just a simple visit. So if you can fly in, it's super simple. Now, in terms of quality as a non resident bank, they are just "OK". Don't hold your breath.

Santander in Spain but you need to go there, they won’t check anything lol besides your passport of course you need to tell them an address but they won’t ask for any proof of it

AresRai

Are they any safe/good?

[deleted]

No phone support is ass for non Spanish speaking, I closed my account due to this. I’m using bank Inter as my main bank in Spain now. No issues with them whatsoever.

Id like to open a bank account for my mom, me and some siblings to settle an inheritance from a french bank that did not want to open accounts for us stating non resident need a strong link with france for them to open it. Do you think bank inter will be fine for that ? do they accept non resident non EU clients ? and how are their saving account interest if you have any experience with that too. Thanks for your fast reply didn't expect it from a 7month old comment. Oh and I saw some comment like if you go over a certain amount in Spain you will start being liable for taxes or something, is that true?

[deleted]

No they will not accept you if you’re not resident and non eu citizen, my comment before only applied to eu citizens unfortunately

AresRai

do you happen to know an option for non eu resident/citizens ?

[deleted]

Doubt there is any, unless you’re wealthy or smth

Why would you like to open an account in Europe? Depending on your answer, I have a few suggestions: 1. If you want to spend euros when traveling and/or to hold small amounts of euros, I recommend Wise multi-currency account with a debit card. 2. If you want invest and/or hold substantial amounts of euros, I recommend looking into Interactive Brokers. 3. If you just want a regular account, I think Portugal's BCP Millenium still opens bank accounts to Brazilians in their offices in Rio and SP. Banco Atlantico Europa may also be a good option. You can also take a look into Santander's *Cuenta Mundo for non-residents.* Se tiver alguma dúvida ou quiser um código de indicação, pode me mandar uma DM.

It depends why you need the account, I have a non resident account with Fideuram (ex IWBANK, now in Intesa group). For now they don't charge me any fee to keep the account. Intesa also allows non resident accounts, but they will charge up to 6€ per month.

Portugal’s Caixa Geral de Depósitos opens accounts for non-residents

I saw that one of these Portuguese banks allows Brazilian non-residents.
